We ate here on our first night in La Fortuna. The service was good and the prices were quite fair. I ordered a mixed grill and several of the meats were deep fried and one of the meats was "off". My wife ordered a chicken...mushroom linguine which she said was quite good = but the portion was very small. We both left hungry and disappointed. What a surprise. My wife and I stopped in at 6:30pm for dinner with no reservation. We waited in the bar for a drink until a table was ready. We had the sea bass special and it was great. But, the service was the best...thing about our visit. Poola was great! Funny, engaging, answered all our questions, and gave great suggestions. Ask for her if you visit.More

Great restaurant in La Fortuna serving up delicious Costa Rican food. Open air dining room with nice ambiance. Our waiter Roberto provided great service. I ordered ceviche followed by the mixed grill, Carnitas de mi Tierra, and everything was excellent. This was our most enjoyable...dining experience when visiting the Arenal region. Even though it is away from the action along the main road, it is a popular place and making a reservation is a good idea. I phoned a week before our arrival and had no problems requesting a reservation.More

Really bad experience - we arrived, ordered drinks and waited 45 mins for them to arrive. At that minute we knew all was not well - this was a Tuesday evening in a not very busy restaurant. Thereafter, it took 10 mins to get any...service attention, and drinks and food took a crazy amount of time to arrive - there seemed to be confusion at every level and by the time our food arrived we were having a bad time with by now very rude waiting staff, which took the edge off of our last night in Costa Rica Food was ok but nothing special, have enjoyed far better meals in the country and area. Best food we had during our visit in La Fortuna. The pork was the best we’ve ever had. They almost didn’t allow us to be seated during dinner because we didn’t have a reservation, but a table opened up and we got in. So happy...a local recommended this place!More
