Yi Cafe has been for a longer time one of the popular weekend brunch restaurants. We have visited it several time and it offers good food for most tastes. Price value is decent. We usually start with sashimi and sushi. After that we pick other...seafood like mussels and crabs. As an example their roast beef is decent (I usually have plenty of slices with sauce and veggies). Indian food is always ok (I like their tandoori chicken). Their chicken shawarma is good. Chinese dishes are ok. Desserts are pretty decent. Yi Cafe is bang for the buck.More

We had a birthday celebration here. The selection of food on offer was amazing, although some of the popular meat dishes got finished early. The best dish of the day, was the Roast Pork. The staff were great. Still one of the best Brunches in...Shanghai.More

This is my second time, first for lunch, going to Yi Cafe and was very happy with the food quality and selection. We were a group of 10 ladies who thoroughly enjoyed our time there. My favorite was the chocolate lava cake on cup, mango...cheesecake, BBQ chicken, and Peking duck. People who enjoy seafood will love the choices of Indian, Mediterranean, Western (even served turkey which was perfect for Thanksgiving week), and Eastern. We enjoyed having the treat boxes which enabled us to pack gummy candies to take home! Well done, Yi Cafe and Shangri la Pudong!More

We went there as part of the Shanghai Restaurant week. The information given on the website was totally wrong and misleading. It was advertised as a buffet operating from 5.30 pm to 10.00 pm with reservations till 9.30. However, the buffet actually closes at 8.30pm...resulting in us having to leave MID-MEAL after 15 mins of being there. There was no last call warning for the buffet closing or any information whatsoever that the restaurant was closing early. We were simply expected to walk away mid meal because of wrong information provided by the hotel. Additionally, given the covid19 situation and the time we were asked to leave we could not get dinner anywhere else. It was an entirely ruined evening and such abject mismanagement is certainly not expected from a chain like Shangri-la.More

I used to go there quite often. They have great choice of multiple cousins - Japanese, Chinese, Singaporean, and western. The quality of foods, and cooking are also top notch. Will be a wonderful choice if you are hungry, and also with families so everyone...has their own selections. Will not recommend for business discussion though as the restaurant could be crowed, and full of traffic as food stands are located separately. Service level is very good and staff are well trained, as you expected for Shangari-la everywhere.More

We had an annual birthday brunch here and it lived up to its reputation. It is pricey at 637 for wine and beer, but we thought that 452+465 for Champaign was a bit over the top. The menu has also changed a bit, to cater...for an increasing Asian palate. We had a great time, but was surprised to see a large tour group arrive at 12 noon, rush around with plates piled high and leave at 1pm. It was certainly quieter after that rush!More

We have been privileged to have traveled the world with so many great dining experiences that we cannot recall them all. We have never had such an incredible variety of excellent food. Our waitress “Elina” i believe (forget her Chinese name) was outstanding. We had...never had hairy crab - she showed us how to eat it and it was amazing. The variety of fresh and raw seafood, cooked seafood, goose, pork, duck, Indian tandoori meat, Turkish selections, German rouladen, even tacos and pizza just to name a few choices - and all authentic - well, extraordinary. Very nice wine list and selections of beers. Desserts to die for: individual chocolate mousse and soufflé. Of course, if you wanted to eat healthy there were so many choices of fresh fruits, vegetable and salads. A definite gastronomic highlight!More

I bid and won a 4 person dinner package from a More Than Aware auction and so thankful that I bid on this item! We took our visiting relatives and were blown away by the delicious selection and amazing customer service! I want to especially...mention Akshay who is one of the Specialty Chefs there. He made us feel so special and brought special food items to our table. He even brought my cousin, who is visiting from Chicago, a cake when he found out that it was her birthday. My husband who is not normally a big fan of buffet surprisingly already asked when we will be returning! Can’t wait to return and thank you, Akshay and all the staff, who delivered yummy food and top notch service!More

We just ate there today and it was amazing! So much selection and most of the dishes were outstanding. The weekend lunch buffet is set up into many different cuisines. When you enter you pass through the desserts and seafood, the drink section is in...the middle, with BBQ, noodle, Indian, Lebanese and Chinese at the back. Add on 166 (I believe) for free flow beer but you can order by the glass. Service: easily the best service I have had at any restaurant. The staff were all smiles, and were willing to give help and tips for picking dishes. Best of the best: the lamb mansaf - tender lamb with flavourful rice. Lebanese was the best cuisine I had. Could of just eaten that and it would have been worth the price! Highlights - leave room for the French pastries! The seasonal hairy crab was delicious, better than most local restaurants here. The Peking duck wrap rivals the best I’ve tried. The butter chicken and vegetable curry (can’t remember the name) we’re both magnificent. Pass- there is simply too much to try but things that we thought weren’t as great. More of a nitpick than anything. lobster tail , while tasty, offered less meat than Places that specialize in lobster. The oven baked tomato eggplant looked good but need a thicker tomato base. For The beef tacos (we really tried sampling everything!) , needed thicker guacamole. Overall: I have been to a few hotel restaurants lunches and this was hands down the best.More
