We visited Tajine on January 1st and were not disappointed. The four members of our party enjoyed everything from start to finish. The food was delicious and the portions were sizeable. The meat in the lamb tagine was so tender and the baked fish was well seasoned. Everything was beautifully presented and you could tell it was freshly prepared. All members of staff went above and beyond. Miss Lily, the manager is a credit to the restaurant. She helped with choosing dishes and our wine and nothing was a problem. You can tell she is very passionate about her work. It is the best service I have received in China. The decor in the restaurant was tasteful and there was a private room available for larger parties which looked inviting and comfortable. Next time I am in Shanghai, I will be sure to visit. Excellent 😁

What a wonderful, professional service provided by the manager and her team. We felt welcomed as soon as we entered the restaurant, which was decorated in the traditional Moroccan decor. The manager described each dish and shared many useful recommendations. The meal was served in an organized and attentive manner. The warm and friendly attitude was appreciated. We ordered tajine, couscous and pastilla and each was delicious and authentic. What an awesome evening in Shanghai.

If you are looking for a delicious and authentic Halal Moroccan food experience in Shanghai, you should definitely check out Tajine Moroccan restaurant at The Bund. I was lucky enough to have a friend tell me about this cozy and elegant place. Over the years that I've been coming here I've had a variety of dishes that have satisfied my taste buds and made me feel like I'm in Morocco. This evening I had the chicken tajine, babaganoush, warm bread, and mint tea. Everything is yummy! You can enjoy the fragrant couscous with tender lamb or chicken, the savory pastilla with sweet and salty flavors, the refreshing salads and dips, and many more. Tajine Moroccan restaurant is a great place to go with your family, friends, or international friends who love Halal food. I've met Moroccan, French, Indonesian, Arab, and other friends there. You will definitely find something to love at this restaurant. Don't miss the chance to try their mint tea and desserts as well. Tajine Moroccan restaurant is a must-visit for everyone who loves Halal food and Moroccan culture. Also, for a restaurant of this level on the Bund, the prices are very reasonable.

I'm Morrocan , okey the Food it's not bad. BUT I had the worst experience in a restaurant in my entire life I felt like i had been stollen by the restaurant. They put water on the table, and without telling you , they make you pay 80 Yuan (10€) for WATER. You can't even imagine eating Morrocan food without bred, but you pay 40 Y for 4 small peace of bread you order. They made us pay 10% charge for no reason + and other 10% for Chinese New year. In the end of the day i payed something like 50€ for a poor tajine without bread I wanted to make my friend discover about my culture. And this restaurant gave them such a bad image of my people. I felt so ashamed , please do not go there

Terrible non professional attitude from the person in charge, restaurant Manager, the food horrible no relation with Moroccan food, not even close 0,00001%, not even willing to listen to their costumers. Personally it was my bad experience ever in a restaurant. If you go there this what you expected to experience: 1: a talkative manager listening to her self 2: hot and smelly dining area ( because of chicha) 3: no ventilation 4: too expensive 5: no taste not Moroccan at all what they are offering & no relation with Moroccan food. 6: looking only to inflate the bill ( she added the bread 68 ¥ even she confirmed that it is come with the tajine) I can list more than ten bad things lived in shot lapse of time. Resuming all, you need to revise everything if you really willing to stay in the business and to continue parenting the Moroccan cuisine. I hope my message reached the responsable for the restaurant

This is the worst food I ever ate under the name of Moroccan food . Unless the decoration nothing else connects the restaurant to Morocco . We paid over 1000 yuan ( 150 usd) ( 2 people ) for very small portions and a quality which is not even worth a 5 dollar . Except the food which is not tasty , the ROYAL MOROCCAN MINT TEA was surprisingly a lipton with a bit of mint and they sell it for around 100 yuan (15 usd) . Let us not forget that they charge 15% as a service fee for a service which is not even as good as the service you get at chinese low price restaurants . I just would understand if the manager came to me and told me : " look, with this food we try to rip off chinese people's money , get ur a** outa this place cause you wont like the food " and I would have left very happy for their honesty Despite the prices which are way too high than the standards , I would be very happy if at least the food was good . Fool me once, Shame on you. Fool me twice, Shame on me . Definitly Not going back again .

The service was OK but the food is overpriced. The 2 chicken skewers (for 198 RMB) are a good size and come with a very small side of cooked rice. I also ordered hummus (98 RMB) which doesn't come with bread. I ordered 2 pieces of bread separately and paid 34 RMB. I wasn't impressed with the Moroccan mint lemon juice (88RMB). They put ground fresh mint in the drink and didn't sieve it before serving so I could feel big pieces of mint as I drank. They did not add a service fee, but I ended up paying 418 for my lunch. If you don’t mind the prices, the food is OK.

The restaurant was lovely and the reception was very warm from Fatima. Fatima was a superb host, she helped us through the menu with her extensive knowledge of Moroccan cuisine. I have been to Morocco on several occasions but this was the best Moroccan food that I have eaten A fantastic experience and highly recommended

Tajine is my go-to restaurant when I want totake my friends to eat delicious food in a special and unique place. I'm a friendly person so I often strike up conversations with the other international customers here. They all agree that the food is authentic and excellent.

Just had a graduation party for our daughter with 30 guests in main dining area. Plenty of room for DJ, all our party decorations, and plenty of seating. Atmosphere and authentic Moroccan decor paired with the delicious food and the amazing care of Lily the owner...we had a night to remember. Very accommodating and great food! Thanks Lily and her staff!

It’s a really cool restaurant with very nice staff. They also played a Tinariwen playlist. The food is expensive but good and they play great music. And they only serve halal meat.

Authentic halal Moroccan food made by chefs from Morocco and friendly service from the lady of the house with great explanation in English (and French) about the dishes as well as the history from her experience in Morocco. We will definitely come again if we are in Shanghai next time.
