Fantastic upscale restaurant at the famous Shanghai Bund. Chinese kitchen at its best. You can go for value for money specialties but you can also spend a fortune, the quality is always excellent.

Have been previously in 2019 and was blown away. I was sadly disappointed last night. Very limited a la carte, looks like they cater for 4+ business parties on the menu. The duck salad was tasty, but ordinary. The lamb chops were just bones and...gristle. Luckily I had a side on rice, or I'd be eat again on way home.More

We came here for my birthday during a business trip. It's not often you have dinner and the entire group is massively impressed. We all had different things from sushi l, through to meats and noodles. Flavors were just incredible and there was theater too...with smoked dishes as well. They brought me out noodles too for my birthday. Apparently it's a birthday tradition. I would definitely return if I visit Shanghai again.More

Originally from london, this chain expanded to middle east, china and other countries. The menu is modern chinese and quite good indeed. There are traditional items like dim sum and fried rice, and nouveau items like abalone tartare Very good service

A pleasure as usual to be in Hakkasan Shanghai. A great night of fine dining, attention to details, staff professionalism and excellent food quality. The barman proposed us to try some new refined type of local alcoholic drink with a fine touch, nice experiment. Elegance,...Location and quality. see you soon..More

Our all time favorite restaurant in Shanghai, so we went back for a final visit on our last night before leaving China, At a time when there were no cars no transportation, Naomi and Walter stepped up to take the initiative to get us back...to our hotel. Walter went so far as to go out in the rain to help get us a car after two failed attempts, way beyond the call of duty. Forever grateful, Debra and Stanley!More

Returned to Hakkasan on Wednesday for the 50th Birthday dinner of one of my closest friends. We had booked a Private Dining Room for the event - around 20 of us. Every detail, from the service to the presentation to the quality of the food...- and I am not too crazy about Chinese Food - was flawless. This is the first time that I have been back since the closure due to COVID in 2020, but the same faces and management are still present, and the staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. A wonderful evening.More

What an awesome brunch! To start, the building, restaurant decor, and view are stunning. The food was all fantastic, with the Peking duck and egg tart being especially memorable. Food delicious and consistant where ever weh have been and tried Hakkasan. The service was spot on. Professional, yet casual. Especially their dimsum and modern style duck paired perfectly with the picked wine from their sommelier. We ended up at the bar and continued to...enjoy some signature cocktails from their menu. We will be back soon!More

Again, Hakkasan was an impressive experience thanks to the attentive, friendly, professional staff, the delicious and beautifully presented dishes, as well as the unique ambiance. We celebrated a birthday and the staff was prepared for our special request. Throughout the meal the staff attending to...any needs, carefully explained each dish and just made us feel welcome and comfortable. Each dish was perfectly presented, stunning, sumptuous. Our table had a fantastic view on Lujiazui. The ambiance of the restaurant was relaxing, classy... very calm. The entire experience was unforgettable. Thanks for a wonderful evening.More

The restaurant produces absolutely the best dim sum! Although I went with the set lunch, I was glad we ordered some extra dim sum as a starter! It was beautifully made and the liquid not too hot when the dumpling burst in your mouth. The...crab soup was generous and rich. Although I am not a big fan of crab, it was enjoyable! The beef mains was nice and the deserts nicely executed. Perhaps the coconut desert could have had more of a coconut flavour, but that was just a very minor point. I really enjoyed my visit here and if you are in the area, I would definitely go.More
