Apparently part of wagas empire and a large chain across shanghai serving mainly western dishes like all day breakfasts, pastas etc. Ok for a simple brunch or lunch . Good food and service mostly

Although I do like their overpriced patisserie, especially chocolate and pistachio croissant. I tried their carrot cake today. It's the worst carrot cake I have ever tried! Charging £4.50 for a slice, I would expect the cake to be full of flavours. It was dry,...didn't even taste like a carrot cake and the icing which usually is delicious, tasted like some cheap icing sugar mixed with water and slapped on the cake.More

Nice coffee shop with delicious snacks, pastries and bakery. It's like a very upscale Sbux but without the ridiculous and full of sugar drinks.

Excellent choice of brunch dishes and pastries. Great choice of pastries. Good juices. Minus that you have to enter the neighbour shopping mall for toilet.

What is pulling down in score is people on speaker phone and letting childre watch movies on speaker mode as if there was not enough noise. I have been to airports where noise is less.

Another lovely bakery on Anfu Street... so many pastries and baked goods to choose from, good coffee and juices/smoothies... I’ve never had the brunch/lunch but it looks very similar to Waga’s and that is always good! Really nice wine selection. The ambiance is great —...always busy but I’ve never had to wait very long for a spot. Love this spot!More

The bakery is wonderful, and at night their wine bar (and wine machine!) is a fun addition. The entree choices are limited but varied and cooked well. The actual restaurant is in a great location and is very cute inside - I particularly like their...limited but comfortable outdoor seating. My one issue, however, is their morning routine. B&S opens at 6 am, and usually by 6:15 they have a handful of people enjoying coffee and a pastry. But their staff doesn’t start cleaning the restaurant for the day until around 6:30. By cleaning, I mean pouring water on the ground and mopping. It’s very disruptive! I’m an early riser and with limited cafes open so early I’ve been going to B&S to sit and drink a coffee before the morning rush, but have found myself having to move around the restaurant to avoid the worker sweeping and mopping, organizing seating, putting out the flowers etc., all 30 minutes plus since the place opened. From now on I’ll be walking a bit out of my way to get my morning coffee at a cafe that prepares for the day before opening and allows me to enjoy my morning in peace.More

Pasta with pan-fried snapper (RMB 75) This bowl of pasta not only has a piece of pan-fried snapper, but also a few pieces of prawns, rockets, and cream tomato sauce. Its cream tomato sauce is very tasty, very creamy, and has a lot of it...to eat till the end. Its pasta is cooked to al dente and it’s still chewy, not softened, when it is delivered here. Next time, I should make time to dine in.More

Busy little place especially on a Saturday. Quite a bit of choice for food including sandwiches, salads and pasta. All the food we had was tasty and just what was needed for a light lunch. The drinks were also nice and refreshing. Service was efficient...and the prices were reasonable.More

Second time here absolutely amazing ! 1. Selection of pastries, bread, cakes, crackers, (cannelles, Jam doughnuts , scones, red velvet, carrot cake, savory snacks, exotic bread - superb sandwiches ) amongst hen best in Shanghai 2. Hot meals - pasta, super healthy salad bowls (quinoa,...tuna, beans, kale) - Vietnam Pho.all great - really good salad bowls - tried tuna and the lemongrass chicken , pesto chicken pasta (superb) and the pho 3. What a great selection of wine ! To buy to take home at the deli - Hundred of choices we actually bought one and opened it at our table with our lunch Get there an wait for a table (maybe take 10-15 mins) because it’s so popular and always crowded - interesting mix of people can see why everyone likes it Wry good ambience and vibe - you will probably end up packing so many things to take home even after you have finished your meal Reasonably priced as wellMore
