Excellent restaurant. Staff were super friendly. Food was delicious. Generally the staff had good English, and if they struggled with the conversation, they would quickly get another member of the team to help. Would definitely come back

As usual I found this place through TripAdvisor and did not get disappointed. This place is on the 27 th floor of the Edition Hotel with a modern look! The view of Shanghai from this restaurant is amazing. The food is excellent. U won’t be...disappointed with the prefix menu, the bar and the service .More

We had the tasting menu (x3) and it was an amazing and diverse dining experience. Everything was well prepared and tasted great. The view was also special and as we dined at the end of the evening the staff helped us take some pictures in...the restaurant.More

I can see why this is a top 10 shanghai restaurant on tripadvisor despite not having any michelin star First off, the service is excellent, from beginning to end. The hotel is on a pedestrian street so there’s no car lobby. The restaurant staff walked...us out, in the rain There’s a set menu and a la carte, and we had the former. Every dish was very good to excellent. Stand outs include crab soup, cod, sashimi, handroll, wagyu beef Like a Nobu, but probably better Will return 9/10More

Overpriced and overrated - this is a +130 rmb salad - do you see where the “salad” is? Paying more for the empty plate and view. If you come here definitely ask for a table next to the window otherwise it’s overall poorly lit.

We „paid per view“ on The Bund, almost breathtaking, since I - as an Old China Hand - wasn’t in Shanghai almost one year... The Japanese Food, partly Fusion Food, was good, tasty, but not overwhelming. Best was our tiny portion of Blue Fin Tuna...Tartar. Second the beef rice. Most guests are young, rich Chinese! Obviously a Hip Restaurant.More

The best birthday dinner. We had the chef recommended menu as we didn't quite know what to order. And I can see why people are raving about this place. I don't think words would do any justice to the experience we had here.More

Hiya is a Japanese lzakaya-inspired restaurant similar to the now closed Sosharu in London. There approx 60 seats with a long bar that greets you as you enter and stunning views of the skyline. Seating is split into some comfortable lounge tables and usual upright...ones for couples or groups. Opposite the bar is a spiral staircase leading to the Punch Room that gives a splendour and sense of occasion as you walk down from Punch. Hiyas menu comprises of small dishes with sections dedicated to different specialties; Hibachi Grill, Tempura, Temaki, Sashimi. I started with Asian pear and avocado salad that consisted of aforementioned items along with radish and house made tofo dressing. The radish gives an earthiness and coupled with all the other items there’s a good balance of sweet and light sourness and mix of textures. Nice start to the meal. The Chirashi bowl, sushi rice and vegetables also gave a good balance of flavors and textures. The Tamaki’s (I opted for tuna and pork shoulder) both crisp and soft, the tuna is subtle but both do pack a punch. The stuffed chicken wings hint of bitterness, taking the accompanying daikon offers refreshment but not before you’ve gnawed your way to the end of the wing. Karaage was tender, a light dry batter and side dips consisting of sansho, salts and chilli sauce that moistens the dish. Black cod, always a favourite dish of mine, nice and tender with a good char but a bit overly sweet. There’s an excellent and extensive sake selection ranging from dry to sweet. Mostly comprising of Junmai, Ginjo and Junmai Daiginjo, which are all very drinkable. Overall service was professional and extremely attentive with a right balance of friendliness. This along with the spectacular views has a good mix for couples on dates or small groups who want to enjoy good food along with some great drinks. One last point to note is the bar. The Punch room can get busy later in the evening however the bar at Hiya offers excellent cocktails which are good for pre or post meal drinks to start or end your evening. Keep up the good work guys.More
