If you really likes the NWF food Peshawari is the place with some thing really different. No Spoon Dining..Surprise but this is the USP of typical Indian food. Suggestion: Really avoid spoons/forks/knives to enjoy the food. If you are small eater go for ala-carte otherwise too much unlimited is waste of money. Costly but for real authentic that money is worth spending as one is not coming regularly for these types of food. Lobster and Raan is worth a try and different varieties of Naans are recommended. Vegetarians - please try the Tandoori Paneer for the tangy spices.

Dinner to celebrate new year 2020

I visited Peshawari with my family on 1st of Jan, 2020 at 10:00 PM for dinner. We were assisted by Swakit, our server who was so attentive and friendly. We called for the non-veg platter, Daal Bukhara and some Butter Naans. We requested that the butter naans be made crispy. Swakit made sure that every Naan served on our table were crispy made to perfection, just like the way we wanted. Even after our food was served he kept checking in with us to see if we needed anything. We thank Swakit for making our experience at peshawari worth it! Great service keep it up. We walked out of the restaurant contented and smiling! Will be back again! Thankyou once again!

Great rustic mood for a celebratory meal

The one thing that shines is the daal Bukhara. Their naans and Raan and kebabs are hearty and wholesome. Server staff Swakit & Deepak were very attentive and especially kind and patient to our 4 year old. All that said, the pricing just does not Correspond with the flavours. We do get similar kebabs at few other good fine dining restaurants As an experience it was great and had a fun evening!

I was visiting this particular Peshawri after a gap of three years. The mercenary pricing continues unabated in a restaurant that was half empty on a Sunday afternoon. From Rs. 5,500 for a veg meal for two the price this time was Rs. 8,000 for three people. And of course it does not include tips as the bill proudly says at the bottom. I emptied all the loose change in my pocket and left it on the table. In the past, I would justufy the insane prices to the finger licking food. I can no longer do that. The classic Dal Bukhara was watery and devoid of the zing from being cooked for 24 hours. The service was as snooty, cold, indifferent and inefficient as is always the case at all Peshawri restaurants. We had to constantly look for the servers to get their attention. The dishes were dumped on the table like in a dhaba. One of the waiters had a very patronizing attitude in trying to explain the food and how it is to be eaten. And we were all Indians!!! There was no restaurant manager in sight any where. And of course, they do not voluntarily offer the platter menu unless you ask and only a few people know about it. This may well be my last visit to this iconic place that is in desperate need of supervision and management.

Restaurant Review of Peshawari - First Restaurant visit (post Covid) on 18th October 2020.

Peshawari is the sister restaurant of Bukhara restaurant of ITC Delhi. I have visited Peshawari a number of times. The primary reason for visiting this restaurant usually is the Signature Dal Bukhara. This was my first visit to any restaurant in Mumbai post the Pandemic.   Food:  Food as usual was good. I only had vegetarian food and everything ordered was good. I took the single diner menu. Must try dishes are Tandoori Aloo, Dal Bukhara, and phirni.   For non vegetarians, their chicken seekh and murgh malai kebab are really good. Worth a try.   Best dishes to Order:  Tandoori Aloo, Murgh Malai Tikka, Chicken Seekh, Dal Bukhara, and Phirni.  Though these are the most recommended dishes, other dishes are good too. However, in my opinion, the recommended dishes justify the price you pay here.    Service:  Service is not the forte of Peshawari. The main focus is food  Ambience: The ambience is dhaba style and not a fine dine. But as said before, the focus is food. POST COVID Restaurant Visit Experience:   They claim that they are functioning at 1/3rd capacity. We were a couple and were given a table of four. However, they filled up all the three tables in the section that we were given the table. I got uncomfortable by this and hence I contacted the restaurant manager for the same. They immediately changed our table. This incident made us rethink our decision to continue with our dinner, however owing to the following factors we continued our dinner:  (A) The tables were separated by six feet  (B) They changed our table and gave us another table. (C) All the tables were separated by glass partitions.  (D) The servers were serving using special serving trays which made sure that proper distance was maintained from the staff.  (E) All cutlery and napkins were properly sanitised.   (F) We felt safe.   Final Note:  Though we had dinner, we would have appreciated a little more distancing in the small restaurant they have. The same has been communicated to the Restaurant Manager.    However with my experience with social distancing in this restaurant, I may not visit another restaurant any time soon.    Reducing capacity is not enough. What is required is guidelines in terms of distance between the occupied tables.

Best Indian food one can imagine. Five stars for quality of food, service and ambience. Best place to take your distinguished guests or to give a very memorable treat to your family / friends. Though it is quite expensive but is wort every rupee. A foreigner guest would remember this event for ever. The kababs are prepared with great love and care so also other Indian foods

Food you can never forget!!

Had gone to celebrate a special occasion to this restaurant in itc maratha Mumbai.. The food is very heavy and tasty.. dal bhukhara is their signature dish wich is the best dal makhani (famously known) I have ever had.. dey served gulab jamun complimentary since it was a special occasion :) The food is too good to miss!!

Swakit was our server who was very kind and friendly. Trishal was very helpful in assisting with choosing our food. The food was incredible. Full of flavours. We had the leg of lamb that melted off the bone it was so tender. The Dal Bukhara was delicious with the garlic nann bread. Very happy we are here today. Thank you India. JJ

Heavenly food for Kings !

Finally got to visit here during this India visit and surely not let down by the food. Menu is brief and focused mainly on Kebabs and starters. We had to try the Sikandari Raan, Burrah kebab and seekh kebab. Sikandari Raan is served in a way you dont have to play with the bones and meat melts in mouth with all the flavors. Burrah kebab was equally tender and juicy, bit let down by seekh kebab as it was bit dry compared to other starters. Dal bukhara was amazing and was matched with stuffed kulchas and naan. Service was outstanding and deserves a mention.

Mesmerizing Experience by ITC Maratha.

As my Friend’s Mother's Birthday was there on 17th of April 2022, had sent a Cake. Chef Vivek ji Kadam is such a Sweet and Great Gentleman, I had called him of 16th at 10:45 PM and said I want such a cake. It was Easter on 17th so 1st he said he will send on 18th but then he called me back and said he would do and he had said he'll do some more modifications in the Cake. When he made and sent the picture of the Cake I was just Stunned to see, it was just so Beautiful and Mouth-watering 💕💕😋😋. My Friend and Her Mom Loved the cake a lot, it was very Refreshing. In fact there was a fight at her home about not to cut the cake. Great service was provided by Mr. Ruel D'silva and Mr. Upender ji Tomar. The delivery was done in just 8 - 9 minutes, it was just so shocking. Thanks 🙏🙏😊😊 Team 'ITC Maratha' for making this Occasion a Mesmerizing one.

Restaurant space area and lighting needs to be improved....keeping hygiene in mind, spoon and fork need to be introduced....price dishes need to be rationalized for mass-penetration. Rest looks good, staff (Cleatus, Sumit, Milind) are polite and professional 👍

Lunch at peshawari

A hearty meal of scrumptious dishes with exceptional hospitality on a relaxed Sunday afternoon is how my experience was at Peshawari thanks to Mr.Swakit, Mr. Cleatus and Mr.Sumeet. The whole experience in terms of food and service was awesome and delightful. Sikandari raan was moist, well cooked, beautifully spiced and melted in mouth when combined with the assorted roti platter. Dal makhani was rich, earthy and creamy. The gulab jamun is a must have, an out of the world experience in themselves! Thank you so much for the warmth and courteousness showered over us and making our whole experience more worthwhile.
