About
What started off as a hobby, has turned into a great love and devotion to the Macedonian wine culture and tradition. As a small family managed winery,Winery Mal Sveti Kliment is dedicated to producing only the finest wines, made with great care, passion and the finest grapes! Our boutique winery produces only a couple thousand bottles each year. All the vineyards are located in the Ohrid region, a few kilometers from the city, near the lake and by the mountainside. The vineyards are small, traditional farmlands, managed by the family and by local agriculturists from the nearby villages. Every grape we use is handpicked when it is perfectly ripe, which ensures the quality of our wines. Due to the proximity of the vineyards to the lake, the unique climate of Lake Ohrid is very much reflected in the taste of our wines. This is particularly evident in Ohridsko Crno and Pamid varieties, which are native to these regions. Our wine bar is built in a traditional stone style, where we even produce our Amphora wine by an ancient method. We invite you to further explore our wines and food traditions with us, with exclusive wine tastings at Vila and Winery Mal Sveti Kliment.Wine tastings paired with food are available.

If you enjoy wine this is the place to go! We visited for a whole evening for a tasting of Macedonian wines, and even though it is not really a restaurant, we ordered a cheese and meat platter for sharing, and the bruschetta to go with the wine - and we where full and happy leaving the place.
The owner was very thorough in explaining the history of the wines, how it was produced and why it complemented the food we had. This was very insightful.
We had a fantastic experience and would recommend all to visit. The prices are also very reasonable.

Very hospitable and knowledgeable owner. We tried 6 Macedonian wines that we wouldn't have known anything about, accompanied by delicious bruschetta. Enjoyed it so much we went back for more the next night. Ohrid is quiet in October so please don't be put off if nobody else is there, it just makes the service even better.

An excellent wine tasting experience in Ohred. A far better selection than any of the restaurants have, with an incredible host who has a great knowledge and deep passion for the Macedonian wine scene. The bruschetta pairings are great as well, perfect for a light bite rather than dinner. Ambience and selection just fantastic, a great night to be had for anyone wanting to taste and learn more about the local offerings (all very good). Lovely location too, befitting of the Ohred experience.

This is a cellar wine bar, situated on one of the small roads off the main Tsar Samoil pedestrianised street. The owners are very knowledgeable about wine and have a huge variety available to taste. We enjoyed our first visit so much that we went back to try a further selection of wines the following evening, plus a lovely cheese and charcuterie board. Highly recommended!

A tour of Mazedonian wines accompanied by a mixed platter of prosciutto, salami and different cheeses in excellent quality. Thanks to the lovely host who has profound knowledge about what is in your glass.
We really enjoyed our evening at yours.
We wish you all the best!

We were really happy with the wine tasting experience. The cheeses matching together with the history of the huge amphoras and the beautiful Vranec at the end was great. I would recommend to anyone that wants to know more about Macedonian wines.

We had really wanted to try some wines from Ohrid whilst we were on holiday, and as we found this winery it became apparent that there’s no better way to taste some exceptional Ohrid wines.
We were warmly welcomed by the guys there who took the time to talk about the wines and how they’re made, even showing us some of the stills that have been used for decades and still used now. The wines we tried were great, so much so we bought a few to take home.
If you’re looking to try some quality wines whilst in Ohrid, this is the place you want.

A must visit! Visited last night. Staff are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! A big thanks to the host who worked so hard finding a red wine I might like. Fantastic experience with real wine. Will be back as the cheese plates looked amazing! Husband and son throughly enjoyed the white wine. A real gem.

A young couple of wine lovers, recently took over the wine bar of the winery. Their effort is to make the wines of North Macedonia, known to the visitors of Ohrid. Situated in the old Town, inside the old Cellar of the winery. I was impressed by the wines, as I had no previous experience of the area's wines. There is always room for improvement but I Will definitely revisit.

Great wine-tasting in the heart of Ohrid. Very passionate and knowledgeable staff. Tried to visit previous evening but it was closed so ended up in Bacchus instead, which isn’t a patch on this place. Go if you get the chance.

Went in not expecting much for the wine tasting but the sommelier had excellent knowledge of the North Macedonia wine scene which goes back 1000s of years. Wines were all different and interesting and the “surprise “ wine at the end was excellent. Would highly recommend if in Ohrid.

Totally charming. The rooms had a balcony woth a beautiful view of the lake. It's tucked away on a little side road, directly across from a really old chapel. Breakfast was incredibly, with loads of REAL food options for the people with us who are gluten and lactose free. The room is a little dated and old fashion, but super clean and calming. I would 1000% stay here again. Book with confidence. Also, the AC worked really well!

This is not a restaurant but a wine bar offering wines, different tastings and some food to go with the wine: mixed cold platters or bruschetta.
The owners are specialized in Macedonian wine making and can offer new and unknown types of wine also to experienced wine drinkers. Highly recommended!
