Thanks to some insiders info, my son and I went for lunch there today. Franka was everything I expected and more. Place is so retro, and modern, and chic, and cozy at the same time. It's just perfect. They've paid so much attention to detail and you can actually feel the passion put in this place. Staff was very friendly and super nice.
Menu is A-typical and unique.
I've had mouthwatering, delicious, super tasty and juicy Black Angus Beef Burger followed by a dessert whose name I forgot, but photos are attached so you can ask for it as well. Son had chicken nuggets and potatos (what a surprising choice from a 9 yo 🙄)
We also had a lovely iced tea with fruits and mint, all from a local farmers. Try that too.
Our (well behaved, mind you) dog was also welcomed there so kudos for that too.

I’ll quote my foodie daughter: “I would drive 8hours non stop just for a meal here and would drive back with a happy smile on my face.” That pretty much summarizes experience you get in Franka.
Food is just exquisite. Menu is well balanced combination of local ingredients with a flair of international add onns, accompanied by affordable prices.
Over the few visits, we have tried everything from it and boy…it was delicious and comforting every single time. Every meal is a rhapsody of taste, color and aroma that stays with you long after you’ve finished.
Service is also lovely and staff is making all efforts to make you feel welcomed and at home.
Owners offers accommodation next to the restaurant and it’s equally pleasing - rooms are spacious, comfortable and super cute and stylish.
All in all - perfect place to please all your senses. And worth driving for.

What a spectacular experience! We stopped for lunch and were seated in an enchanting courtyard where our server helped us select delicious meat and cheese platters and a fantastic rosé. Our experience was so positive that we decided to return for dinner. Stop reading now and go eat there NOW.
We selected 3 beautiful appetizers: burrata, bruschetta with smoked duck and aubergine carpaccio that melted in our mouths.
The beet & truffle risotto: I’m not sure there are enough happy words to describe this incredible dish! The seafood was beautifully prepared, as was the beef rib eye.
The selection of domestic wines was small but truly exceptional.
You cannot go wrong with eating here. We tried 3 other restaurants during our trip to Trogir, yet we loved Franka so much that we returned for a third time. If you’re lucky enough to meet Nina you will walk away feeling like you’ve met a new friend.

Very surprised and dissapointed to be giving this place a bad review. We had a reservation in this restaurant at 7.00 pm, we skipped the appetizer and ordered the main course right away . The service was a bit slow so we are waiting for our food a little longer and finally it comes, the food was tasty and good. Now we are all looking forward to our dessert but the waiitres comes to tell us that we have to leave the restaurant because there is a new group with a reservation in 9.00 pm. Prices are a bit high, even after we got a discount as a "sorry" for kickings us out.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience at our place!
Since we have quite small outside sitting space, and we were in the high season, also known as a new restaurant, we were quite busy during that period. That is the main reason why we have time limits for those frequent hours, so our guests can choose when they want to have their dinner.
All of our guests were introduced to that norm and we are trying to give the best possible experience in those two hours.
Also, with all the fresh and high quality ingredients, we believe that the prices are reasonable and that the value for the money is correct.

We came at the restaurant around 15:30, 4 adults and 3 kids. We ordered food, and the waiter came after 15 minutes telling us that they don't have black risotto,but they have it on the menu. He came again after 10 minutes to tell us that the cook has arrived on the shift and we have to wait longer because she needs to organize things in the kitchen... We asked a glass of water for the kids, but they have only bottled water( I wonder if they are drinking it). The food is good, the beetroot and truffle risotto was a surprise. We got the discount and that is ok and fair.

We are really sorry to hear about your bad experience.
The risotto situation and the shift change was definitely nothing for you to carry about, and that was just a lack of a conversation from one of our crew members.
Since we are making the famous ''Black risotto'' only in case we found a fresh cuttlefish at the market, sometimes we don't have it on the menu, and our waiter probably misses to inform you about that.
We are sorry for that experience, and we would like to host you again sometimes, so we can improve our service.

I would never repeat a Saturday night dinner in this restaurant. I love the settling but it was definitely too crowded, waiters going back and forth, constantly stumbling upon and kicking my chair! Never get seated on a table right at the entrance, ask for a table as far as possible from the entrance to the restaurant. Waiters were constantly creating more space and putting more tables and chairs to push in more guests (so the distance rule does not apply here). The service is slow so If you decide to come, visit during the weekdays. We ate beetroot and cheese risotto and shrimp and cheese ravioli, paired with wine and had two desserts. The food was good but the prices are definitely too high. And one more thing, the waiters were almost kids, not more than 18 years old so the lack of experience and skills is highly noted.

Sorry to hear about your negative experience that you had with us.
As you might notice, we have a quite small outside space (located between small streets in the old town ) also, being the number 1 restaurant by Tripadvisor around that time, we were quite full during the ''busy dining hours''.
Because of the small capacity, a few times in a row, some guests didn't have a chance to book their table on time, and we always wanted to give an opportunity to host some of them. We also have few negative comments caused by not having room for them.
We would be happy if you have told us the issue with your table on time so we can solve your problem right away.
Also, one of the members of our small but growing team was 18 at that time. That was one of his first jobs, maybe without a lot of experience, but he was trying his best and a lot of guests loved him!
If you have had any negative situation, please let us know.

My family stumbled across this little gem on our first full day in Trogir and ended up coming back two more times in the next 24 hours—it’s that good. Our server Nina was so sweet and friendly and was happy to give recommendations. Our light lunches of cheese, charcuterie, and salads were delightful but the true star of this place is served at dinner. Do yourself a favor and come back for the beetroot and truffle risotto at dinner. Seriously, this stuff is probably my new favorite dish. Love this cute little restaurant, it’s amazing food, and superb staff!

We went for a family dinner with two kids and were very excited to try some of the creative dishes found on the menu.
We opened with roasted eggplant carpaccio & burrata and had pasta beef & vegetables and beetroot & truffle risotto for a main course. Kids had potatoes and chicken from their kids menu.
We enjoyed everything from the first bite to the last. Delicious and interesting flavors served in a beautifully decorated courtyard settled between old stone houses in the heart of Trogir. Great atmosphere, lovely hosts and supreme service made our night out something to remember. Everything was sparkly clean and brand new, decorated with great attention to detail and service was fast (which is very important when dining with small kids).
Oh and yes - we tried all of the deserts and can’t decide which one was the best. :)

I will personally recommend this restaurant to everyone staying in Trogir or surrounding area and I cannot wait to return myself. We stumbled upon this little gem while on the search for dinner and doubled back after realizing that we had passed an inviting looking courtyard, playing good music. The waiters were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the food and drinks were delicious. We felt completely relaxed and liked it so much that we returned for breakfast and then also for coffee and desert on our last evening. If you like a local feel, quality food, amazing coffee and a flowery, breezy flair be sure to check it out!

We stopped here with family for drink originally but then decided to have a snack as well and could not make a better decision. Everything we tried (avocado salad, burger, chicken with pasta for kids) was tasty, delicious and served on nice plates. Many more details like golden cutlery, fresh flowers in beautiful vase, nice music, waitress with smile and even clean and stylish toilets made out trip to Trogir special.

I phoned and got no response but my missed call was returned with the promise of an outdoor table for 5 at 9pm. The setting is lovely, music mellow and our waiter was really friendly and efficient. He handled the news that one of our group has a serious nut allergy very well. The food felt fresher, lighter and a bit more modern than what we’ve encountered so far in Dalmatia. The charcuterie and zucchini starters were delicious, pastas were excellent and the seafood pot in particular was great, very large, plenty for 2! Cocktails too were enjoyed by all of us. It is maybe a little bit pricey for drinks in particular but for the quality and ambience we were happy to pay it. A thoroughly enjoyable evening!

We walked past the restaurant around 18-18.30 and were lucky to get a table before rush hour, since all but two tables were reserved. Staff were very friendly and professional. We only went for mains and a glass of wine, but the food was excellent - the beetroot risotto with truffles and feta cheese had just the right texture and tons of flavor, and the pasta with beef and vegetables was the best I've had in a long time. Simple, yet well balanced and flavorful dishes, and nice wine pairings recommended by our server.
All things considered, prices were very affordable (although our server joked that it's also possible to pay off in the kitchen) given the quality of the food and decent portion sizes. Definitely worth a visit, but perhaps book in advance if you're more than two people.

The food is delicious and the atmosphere is very friendly. It was so nice to us and we enjoyed every meal that included a very fine wine. The best restaurant in Trogir, absolutely recommended to everyone who likes to enjoy delicious food and laugh and talk to friends all evening.

From the firs glimpse of the place you can feel welcomed. Settle in the historical centre od Trogir its charming design and surrounding old buildings overwhelms you. Owner and every other employee od Franka is extremely polite, profesional and full of enthusiasm about the place and the charming family business. We had risotto with beetroot and ravioli with goat cheese and we absolutely loved it. The portions are more than enough and the wine recommendation of the waiter was excellent. We will definitely go back. Best of luck and keep us the good work :)

My favorite restaurant in Trogir! Food is out of this world! We ate beet root risotto (with cheese and truffles), buratta and pasta with beefsteak. For the dessert we had tiramisu and cheescake. I can't say what was my favorite dish. I can't wait to go back and to try something else! My 1.5 year old kid also enjoyed the food.
Restaurant is clean and tidy and the staff is excellent! They are always smiling. What delighted me most: my kid dropped a fork and they brought us new one before we asked! ☺️
