Lovely food and staff

Ate here twice whilst in Bol. I and a friend had the Dalmatian platter, steak, mixed meat platter and all were very nice. The score of 5 for this restaurant is for the waiting staff who arranged and the chef who cooked my husband 2 vegetarian meals that were not on the menu in order to accommodate him. All staff are wonderful friendly and entertaining. The complimentary grappa and bread start the meal off nicely. The setting in a garden with fruit and herbs growing alongside your table is lovely . Added bonus is that it was near our hotel but it’s worth the walk up the hill from the town for the experience

BEST dinner in BOL

I came here with my partner last night and this was by far the best service and food I have had on all my travels abroad. The restaurant is family owned and our host and waiter Daniel made us feel at home and the chef made up the most deliscious vegetarian meal specially for me (it wasn't on the menu.) I am quite a picky Vege eater and I think this is the best attention to detail I have had and the quality of food was excellent as it's all home-made and you can certainly taste that. The olive oil and fresh garlic on bread as a starter was also so incredibly good and the homemade cakes we had for desert by the owners wife were also a wonderful suprise. Loved the atmosphere too, very nice romantic setting under the trees - I want to come here every time I visit Brac! Highly recommended and thank you for the service and leaving a very special evening in my mind.

Had a fantastic family dinner of seafood risotto, prawn risotto, steak with mushroom sauce, steak with peppercorn sauce. The risottos were excellent, perfectly cooked and full of flavour, very generous portions. The servers were really friendly and professional. Worth going to just fir the seafood risotto

As a Croat I had really high expectations after I read all the positive reviews. But the expectations died as I tasted my grilled calimari that were really like you are chewing a piece of gum. Dalmatian plate was good. Cakes were average and I wouldn't recommend. Food is in general little bit tasteless. It just doesn't seem to have any gastronomic signature. For a Mediterranean restaurant I had expected much more. Now I would call this just another tourist trap. On the other side the ambient and service was really good and the waiters are nice.

We enjoyed the food and the service was nice and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is advisable to reserve a table in advance around dinner time, otherwise you would have to wait quite a long time.

Of the few restaurants we visited this one i put on top. Not on the waterfront which is great if you want to spend a quiet evening. Everything is in the greenery and there are places for children who cannot sit at the table all the time. The playground is great. The food is top noticed to be freshly prepared. The fish smelled like the sea, and wen is merged with the smell of nature that surrounded us something wonderful. They offered us homemade wine that went perfectly with homemade food. We were delighted with the homemade bread, which is free in this place, which was strange to us because wherever we were, were charged. Good value for money.

Great food, nice atmosphere and excellent service! Actually the service was beyond excellent! Staff greeted us in a very friendly way, giving us a free homemade alcoholic drink on the house and then occasionally chatting with us about different things. We had octopus salad, shrimp soup, muscles, and grilled squids. It was all delicious.

OK food, you need patience to dine here.

Food was OK. Service was quite slow although polite, we had to ask for our drinks multiple times as the server's kept forgetting them. Pasta was a bit overcooked and not al dente. Had the Milanese spaghetti and beef rump with mushroom sauce.

Honestly we expected more, we when for dinner and have the octopus with potatoes, highlight that this dish has a lot of potatoes and and few small tiny octopus, it was 33€ each and that it wasn’t clear on the menu. Another thing that bothers us was that we ordered a wine (there 2 types on the menu 20€ each) and they brought one of 31€ and explained to us that if we order a wine in bottle is 31€, that could be on the menu as well. This restaurant is far from the port, too overpriced for what they offer “normal dishes and bad wine) and the service is bad if you go for a dinner.

Good dining experience in a nice ambient

The restaurant is a bit outside the town center and the sea view is limited, but this is not a big problem. Visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening and I got a table, even though I didn't have a reservation (for bigger groups or during high season a reservation is recommended). I had the grilled lamb which was delicious and the mixed salad. Both portions were decent. I was also positively impressed by the free bread with their olive oil they serve you, plus the dessert that they give as a treat in the end, something that barely happens anymore. Only downside are the prices (they could be slightly lower for some of the dishes) and the waiting time (I had to wait for nearly 45 minutes to be served, maybe the salad could be served before the main dish).

Our nearby hotel did not recommend but it was close and 5 on tripadvisor. Hotel was right.

This restaurant seemed a good choice as near our hotel and importantly the walk to get there was uphill (and walk back downhill as opposed to going to restaurants on sea front with uphill walk back.) We asked our concierge but they saidalthough in previous years this was a good one to recommend this season had had poor feedback. We went ahead any way. Yhe place is OK outside . Service OK. Please note they only do their own wine. White or red for about 140kuna a litre. It was not great. So to precis one order of tomato salad was a bowl of quarter cut tomatoes with oil . (Wouldn't dream of serving in this way at home. ) octopus salad was just OK (had plenty of those over 2 weeks in croatia). Scampi stew was 5 langoustines in Mild garlic sauce. Black seafood risotto was weak with little seafood and more of a grey rice. Didn't get to main courses but all specialities have to be pre ordered (all under Bell and for 4 people) which was disappointing. . Overall hotel concierge got it right when they said don't go.!!

Dinner was ok. Not really a seafood place

We were hoping (maybe by mistake) that it was a seafood place. They only had one fish which was the “catch of the day” at 550 kn per kg. Fish was ok but overpriced for what it was. They did not have a wine list, just a white or red house wine. Our kids had a steak and it was good. So maybe more of a meat restaurant.

Was not as great as it seemed

Badly cooked food and tasteless. Waited for an hour for our food. The lamb we got were only scraps of bones and had very little meat on it. The service was okay, they were apologetic and offered free dessert which we declined. Överall a OK place but a pain to get to with all the hills only to be served bad food.

By our opinion the best restaurant in Bol. It is locating in garden so there is several small areas separated by trees and rosmarine bushes. Food was excellent (grilled steak and lamb) combined with warm service with personal touch...

Best Seabass ever

Worth the climb out of the main harbour to this charming and picturesque local restaurant set in gorgeous gardens above the town. Received a very warm welcome. All the staff were great. The restaurant was busy, including two large parties of 10+ yet the ample and well trained staff coped admirably and calmly with demand, making the overall atmosphere mellow and chilled. Delicious fresh Greek salad to start. We were presented with the catch of the day and selected a large fresh good looking seabass. This was served perfectly cooked with crispy charred skin and beautifully white, juicy flakes - absolutely fantastic. Amazing salty fried potatoes and some grilled vegetables completed the meal. A simple dinner but one executed with such care, skill and perfection, that we were completely blown away. We are making a rare return visit to this restaurant tomorrow, our final night in Croatia.
