Appears to be in renovation. Tried it recently and ended up at Fancy's on Fifth. Looking forward to Rowe's reopening soon.

Everyone had a great meal but the Chicken and waffles were wonderful. The chicken was season flavorfully without too much heat. It was just as good the next day because the serving size was enough to take some home.

Very good, reasonable prices. It's cozy and the staff is very friendly. For lunch, it was very quick.

Food was delicious. 2 thumbs up on shrimp and grits, and soft-shell crab BLT! Service was polite, but seemed disorganized. Will definately eat there again, however. Enjoyed my meal with outside seating.

At our table we had shrimp and grits, grilled Reuben, soft shelled crab BLT and chicken with waffles. It was all excellent. We will definitely be back. Great value as well.

Visited on a Friday night which is very busy in the area. The restaurant is a converted gas station so it is small but quaint. The bartender greeted us and was very friendly. Several diners where leaving so we snagged a table. She came to...More

To be honest, we went here because every other restaurant in Avondale was crowded and Rowes had no wait. Once inside though I was pleasantly surprised. Good atmosphere. Good beer selection (as most Birmingham restaurants do) and a neat menu. I had the burger with...More
