This is one of those places that I eat at anytime I'm in the area and always wonder why it's not doing a better business. The food has been consistently good for probably 20 years now, and it's clear that while the interior is dated...(no, it's just *old*) that the food continues to be the focus here. Crispy thin beef in the Mongolian Beef, the sweet and tangy Lemon Chicken's thick gooey sauce, the General Tso's rich peppery sauce, the perfectly cooked chicken and pork. They just hit all the "Chinese restaurant" notes perfectly.
It isn't fusion, it isn't fancy, and it isn't the hip & now place to be, but that just makes it all the more special in my eyes. What it lacks in modernity, it makes up for in quality food and charm.More
