One of the best gastronomic experiences we've ever had.
The dishes are extremely tasty, the waiters are attentive and polite.
I would recommend it with my eyes closed and to improve. The price is completely fair, it's not one of those overpriced restaurants because it's in a tourist location.

The restaurant is kinda part of "Pousada do Príncipe", which we were guests. They operate on reservation only, but you can just talk to the guys in the restaurant and they can book you to the next day (although we visited in low season). The place is just wonderful, as well as the service! The waiter can explain in detail how the food is prepared and what the ingredients are if you ask, however they don't speak much English (I'm brazilian and was traveling with my boyfriend, so I could understand and translate to him). All the dishes we tried was just wonderful: beautiful presentation, nice portions and marvelous taste. They also have several "signature drinks" with exotic ingredients that are a must to try. Even though I'm brazilian, I didn't know many of the ingredients they use for food and drinks, as they come from local and native peoples in the region. I would recommend this place to anybody that wants to experience Brazil, because they can provide some traditional things like caipirinhas and also more exotic things like dishes with "puxuri" (is a type of spice like nutgmet). Overall, one of the best experiences we had on this trip!

It was really worth waiting for dinner at Pero. Let's go step by step: attentive and well-prepared staff, drinks with personality, delicious dishes. It was difficult to choose, but we opted for the sea bass and the filet, both of which were so delicious that we ended up exchanging the dishes between us so we could try them. Finally, the fantastic dessert. It is worth mentioning that the prices charged are very attractive and, according to the standards of good restaurants in Paraty, by far the best value for money.

Total disappointment, I went based on trip reviews, with my family, we ordered 4 dishes, all completely tasteless, seasoned, saltless... my moqueca had a total of 1 shrimp, a few rings of squid and 1 small piece of rubbery octopus. .. the duck with tucupi looked like an undercooked chicken leg and the tucupi was in Pará, the fish that wasn't sea bass (missing) without any flavor. We tried, I added salt, oil, pepper but it didn't work. The waiters were kind and correct, they did not charge for the duck dishes which were returned almost untouched to the kitchen. Sad. I do not recommend.

This restaurant really surprised me, we ordered the fish tartar as a starter, with plantain and cassava chips and my God it is just DIVINE, the Aperó drink is also sensational, the service is 1000 and the prices are very fair! I'm just not giving it 5 stars because the main dish didn't really please me, I ordered the famous sea bass with shrimp farofa and I thought it was very good, but it was too dry, they even add a little olive oil and coriander to help moisten it, even so. , I found it difficult to eat after a while.

We went to Peró on the night of 12/09. The menu is lean and well written, but the restaurant's signature dish - sea bass - was unavailable. We ordered the cover charge, which was good, and for the main course we ordered the moquequinha. Unfortunately, the moqueca was extremely salty and was based on tomato sauce, which was acidic and had a lot of skin. For dessert we decided to try the cassava pie. However, the tapioca ice cream with cumaru that was supposed to accompany the pie was unavailable. It was replaced by a scoop of cream ice cream with a generic taste. Ultimately, the impression it gives is of a very rich menu and a breathtaking presentation, but with an execution that leaves something to be desired. Such a shame, we were really excited to eat food with indigenous influences. NOTE: it is worth highlighting the kindness and disposition of the waiters, who are very helpful and competent.

I recently visited this extraordinary restaurant and am absolutely thrilled! The creative menu offers a fantastic selection of dishes that are both taste and visual delights. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation is impressive. Of particular note is the excellent value for money: For the quality of the food and the excellent service you pay really fair here. The atmosphere is welcoming and unique, making the visit an all-round successful experience. Unlimited Recommendation for those looking for something special!

We went by the reviews here. We thought it would be in the historic center but it's about an 8-minute walk away.
The space is inside an inn, the atmosphere is casual, but pleasant.
We ordered the sea bass with baru crust (76 reais), the moquequinha (74 reais) and the Aperó drink (36 reais).
Very good drink, very balanced.
Great sea bass, could have been a little wetter, but very good baru crust and delicious shrimp farofa.
Impeccable moquequinha.
We were attended to by Italo, extremely dedicated and attentive.

Beautiful and gourmet dishes, very well presented, very tasty and sophisticated, with different ingredients, from the Atlantic Forest and from the indigenous community.
And the price is fair, relatively more affordable than the sophisticated restaurants in the historic center!!! In fact, the food is amazing!!! Great!!!! Super friendly staff, top service!!

We ordered drinks, sea bass tartar for starters, and dishes like seafood moquequinha and mignon with hominy.
Everything ordered was exceptionally excellent in flavor and presentation. Beautiful dishes, well served and delicious. Drinks made with mastery.
Very good service, and pleasant atmosphere (located inside a hotel). Very honest price, compared to other restaurants in the region.
I recommend it to anyone going to Paraty.

Think of a restaurant that was an incredible surprise! It starts with the name, which is very original, with a whole story that is worth listening to. Then comes the menu, elaborated in the smallest details that makes you want everything, and, finally, the dish arrives, prepared with great care, affection, with a presentation worthy of many photos. When you put the first piece in your mouth you will understand what I mean about, an explosion of flavors.
I am grateful for all the attention and education from Alan, who served us with great politeness and kindness and gave us many tips. Thanks!
Guilherme who made our reservation was very kind.
To finish, Ingrid is a simply wonderful, talented chef! Thank you for giving us all these sensations.

Delicious dinner (from starter to dessert) with excellent service! The experience is very worth it.
We ordered the heart of palm with prawns as a starter - which was very tasty - and the Sea Bass Tartar - which has a very peculiar flavor but is very good.
As a main course we ordered the Sea Bass in barú crust - very well served and delicious and the Heart of Palm Spaghetti with shrimp and cachaça - the flavor of the cachaça is very strong but the combination of the dish is very good.
For dessert we ordered the tapioca couscous with girl's drool, which was perfect!
We can't forget to mention the mango juice, which was incredible, and the Drink Jorge Amado, which is one of the best in the city.
The team was very kind, always cheerful and attentive in their service, so our thanks to Guilherme, Thiago, Luan and Max.

Peró is a true gastronomic experience, with options that differ from the traditional ones found in most restaurants. The ingredients are a journey to the north of Brazil and, anyone who has had the opportunity to visit this region, will realize that the dishes bring back many memories of this culture (it is impossible not to remember Belém/PA when you see Pato no Tucupi, on Peró's menu).
We were very well received and attended to by Luan and another guy whose name I don't know. Excellent service indeed.
The dishes were great! We ordered hearts of palm in the shell and crab cakes for starters. The main dishes were heart of palm spaghetti with prawns and sea bass with cashew nut crust. Dessert was banana flambéed in cachaça with açaí ice cream.
Everything was delicious and we were happy with the experience!
I highly recommend it!

We arrived very early before the restaurant opened, the service started out perfect, extremely attentive, explaining all the dishes and making suggestions, throughout the stay it became confusing as the restaurant became full. The starters and main course were delicious, we ordered the crab cake and the sea bass tartar, the dishes were the mignon and the moqueca, delicious. The dessert was nothing special, we had high expectations after such delicious dishes. The drinks were all very well made. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and given the opportunity we will definitely come back

During dinner we were well attended to by dear Thiago, he knows the menu and Brazilian cuisine very well! We highly recommend it, what an experience!
