Authentic Brazilian restaurant. Good food, good service, lovely staff. They have a menu in English but the staff only have limited English. Local ingredients so we didn’t know what to expect! So you have to be prepared for things to be a bit haphazard.

We enjoyed a great moqueca with good service at this fine dining establishment. Getting an Uber proved to be somewhat difficult!

Bland room with waitstaff that prefer to look at their phone than attend to guests. Took ten minutes and three requests to get a glass of water. The noise level is too high for conversation, the walls need a paint job and our duck dish...was inedible. The palm salad had little bits of hearts of palm and many pieces of fried cheese curd. The shrimp had no taste. After reading such glowing reviews we expected much more. There are wonderful dining experiences in Manaus, this just isn’t it.More

5 stars for sure. Our hotel recommended this restaurant and wow it was probably the best meal we have had so far in our 3 weeks in Brazil. The waiter went out of his way to understand english using his phone to translate he was...polite and very respectful the menu is extensive but clear and also in english which was a help we had a complimentary delicious soup and a nice glass which is important to me the wine by the glass was superb we had the shrimp amazonia for 2 it was outstanding and the tapioca gelado which was also delicious nice vibe to this restaurant we used uber to get thereMore

What a wonderful place, it was the best fish I’ve ever had, “tambaqui”’ I’d like to emphasize how great was the waitress Daiane Gomes, she has a lot of knowledge about the restaurant, suggesting main great dishes, wines, making everything quick and warm! I strongly...recommendMore

This place is fantastic! Absolutely fantastic from walking in to the end of your experience.dinner here is an experience. The menu is creative and intriguing, at least to someone who is new to the local fish and cuisine. We were 7 at our table and...ordered appetizers, some cocktails, wine, entrees and some desserts. There was plenty to taste and share. Not one dish disappointed. The service is wonderful. Our server did his best to help us with his very good English skills and our pathetic Portuguese. He suggested good wines and good entrees. The ambiance is super. Lots of families and locals came in. It’s obviously a place locals go to for a celebration. The food is all plated tableside which is quite entertaining. This is a memorable feast for all of us. You must try the fish ribs! I’m not so much a sardine fan but these were great. Along with fish, the beef entrees were a hit.More

The restaurant has a very nice and relaxed ambience. The service was good and fast. The food was very good as well, with some different options and lots of creativity comparing to other restaurant also offering regional food in Manaus. We had a good time.

Went there for lunch on recommendation. Welcome was poor, told to QR the menu although they knew we were tourists more than likely without phone data; had to ask for wifi code . Menu only in Portuguese anyway online, so frustrated asked again for a...proper menu which all over sudden was provided! Ordered the Camarao Amazonia , what a let down! Prawns in coconut milk with nuts: coconut milk tasted and had the thickness of cream, roughly chopped Brazil nuts chucked in, and tasteless prawns; all of that served with rice and potato wedges absolutely bland! The dish didn’t taste of coconut nor of prawns!! We added salt, black pepper and Chilli sauce to lift it a bit. What chef would think of serving a coconut dish with potatoes ?? When asked if we enjoyed our food ,we said no because it had no flavour at all. Our comment fell on deaf ears ! Incredible that nobody cared . We paid and left, had dessert somewhere else.More

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food is out of this world - if you want to have a Micheline-quality local food, this is your place. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is simple, elegant and intimate. Their website and...social media presence leaves a lot to be desired, but don’t let that stop you. Don’t leave Manaus without visiting it. Thank you for an all around awesome experience.More

The caipirinhas in this place are great and the food even better. I tried the ant (which they say is a must) but I could have skipped that. Eating the empanadas as a starter is much better.

One of Manaus’ top gourmet restaurants, especially for fish. Varieties such as pirarucú, tambaqui and other Amazonian specialties are served in various preparations, from cheese and banana to parsley and formigas (ants). Pricey but truly one-of-a-kind. Online reservations recommended.

Authentic Amazônico Restaurant! I recently visited Manaus onboard a cruise ship and booked a table at Banzeiro on the recommendation of some friends and it was amazing. From the moment of booking a table the efficiency of the restaurant staff was evident. Ely Batista was...very helpful and even sent me the menu in advance and made some wonderful recommendations. The reservation was made 5 days prior and upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the waiting staff. The welcoming couldn’t have been any better. The restaurant is cozy and buzzling with families and friends enjoying their meals. We sat on a table near the window and ordered a refreshing Brazilian sparkling wine as recommended by Pablo Patrick who was professional and knowledgeable. We ordered mini fish cakes and Duck Pastel as starter which was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. For main, we decided to go for Grilled Pirarucu Amazônico, a white and firm pirarucu fillet covered with pacovan banana and melted halloumi cheese served with broccoli rice and sautéed potato, as well as Pirarucu a Parmegiana (Breaded Pirarucu au gratin with cheese and fresh tomato sauce, accompanied by white rice and straw potatoes) all washed down with a citrusy and oaky chardonnay. To finish it off all we ordered Cupuaçu chilled cake and chocolate soufflé.. The service was fast and courteous, and the menu reasonably priced. An excellent evening! We took a taxi and strolled to the historic centre and took pics of the 'Teatro Amazonas' and wandered down to the port, trying to get a feel for Manaus. Highly recommended if you happen to be in Manus!!More
