Hi, I dont usually write reviews but in this case will make an exception. The kindest thing I can say is that the water is fresh. I suppose that the salty greasy taste is fine after several beers or sangria. Unless you were looking at...the food you would not know what you were eating. I guess quality is another victim of Covid.More

Tasty and very reasonable option for Spanish food around the corner from Hotel Ciudad de David. While there's a small dining room, nearly everyone just sits out on the patio. The octopus and the shrimp in garlic (gambas al ajillo) and the tortilla española were...all delicious, as was the sangria.More

We ate here twice during my trip to Panama. I ordered the grilled Octopus. It was amazing. Fresh and cooked perfectly. The sangria was fresh and homemade and very delicious. I also ordered the shrimp, and had the fritters. You won't be disappointed. Great atmosphere...and great food. Always a great combination.More

We chose to have dinner at El Rincon because it was one of the better rated restaurants within walking distance of our hotel. We arrived and there was only one other table occupied. We were seated in the quiet garden under a large awning, which...was nice because the weather was threatening rain. We ordered a number of tapas for our family to share and a couple drinks for my wife and I. The food was excellent. Everything was delicious, hot and fresh. It was one of the better meals we'd had in a very long time. After we finished eating, we ordered desserts. Shortly after we'd finished the desserts, the owner's daughter came and asked our kids to play with her. We let the kids play for about 30 minutes while we finished our drinks and enjoyed the quiet, calm atmosphere of the garden. It was a wonderful meal and I suggest a visit here to everyone visiting David.More

My boyfriend & I had dinner here with the intention of killing time before a long bus journey but ended up having one of the nicest evenings of our entire trip. We sat outside and were served by Andrea who was attentive and charming. The...food was delightful and a real surprise. The wine was good & inexpensive & the sangria was authentic & delicious. We were there for 3 hours (Mediterranean style!) and Andrea was happy for us to order as & when, and gave us just the right amount of attention. I would thoroughly recommend.More

I stumbled upon this marvelous place quite by accident. Starving for lunch, my friend and I ate outside on the cool, breezy patio. We started with a glass of very good, generous glass of sangria for only $3.00. The Ensalada with tuna was outstanding. It...was simple but every component was perfect. Then we shared the Camarrones con Ajillo and a half order of the chicken wings. Both were perfectly cooked. The shrimp sat atop a plate full of delicious fried potatoes with just the right of garlic, all barged in Spanish olive oil. I can’t wait to go there again.More

Four of us went to the restaurant and order Paella. It was missing ingredients. Very skimpy with the seafood even though the presentation was okay. The rice was not cooked all the way. Service was lacking. We had to call for our drinks even though...the restaurant had three other tables so it was not crowded.More

No fuzz, no over doing it, no nouveau cuisine, just good solid Spanish recipient well executed. Also the outdoor space is nice all year long and it has more vibe than 99% of restaurants in Panama (outside of PC). You won't be disappointed, and this...comes from two Spaniards.More

I pitched up in David at about 8pm on a Tuesday, it was wet and deserted. I went to a chicken restaurant that had run out of chicken. Then I carried on a block and stumbled upon this place, bellied up to the bar and...let the food and drink commence. Their alitas al ajillo are brilliant, washed down with some perrier and then followed up with the calamares al ajillo because I still had an appetite. I actually went back for a second time on the Saturday and it is full of Spanish people. It's anyone's guess what they are doing in David but El Rincon Español is apparently where they hang out for a taste of home.More

We just stopped in for drinks after dinner but one look at the menu and we wished we had eaten here instead! A great little european feeling oasis in the middle of david. The owner was very friendly and the sangria we had was tasty...and a great price. They have a lovely open patio at the back to relax away from the sounds of the city. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back to try the food!More

Both times I've been there has been to share with friends over tapas and sangria, and for that it is great. It is pleasant in the back, outdoors.

We arrived at 12:30 for lunch. The staff seemed surprised and annoyed that we were there. We had to ask for the A/C to be turned on and the room was stifling. The waitress finally came over and (without so much as a 'buenas tardes')...informed us that they were out of three of the main menu items. It's a pretty limited menu, too. The paper menus were torn and stained and basically the 'tude of the server told us everything we needed to know. I might give it another try with a Panamanian friend who has had some good experiences there. She told me you have to schmooze the wait staff for service. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?More
