Had an excellent meal here. I had the smoked pork knuckle and my wife had the smoked chicken, both were plentiful and well prepared. The vegetable side I had was done perfectly and again lots of it.

This restaurant is a horrible place to eat. My order took forever to make it to our table. At 2 pm the order was taken. After 45 minutes of waiting for my food, the server came to tell me they ran out of the beef...steak that I ordered and offered another choice, which I accepted and another 30 more minutes waiting for my other steak to make it to my table. The total waiting time, was about one hour and 20 minutes. No apologies, no nothing and the food is MEDIOCRE. The steak was not cooked to the requested temperature. Too red for my taste. Insufficient staff for the number of customers. The worst, OVERPRICED food I've had yet in this country, with not a friendly staff and non-attentive as well. Never came to ask us if things were ok. What a rip-off this place is. Do not waste your time and money. There are a gazillion restaurants out there that are much better than this one. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT.More

We have always visited Smokin Mammas on our trips to David over the past few years, and especially loved the Smokin Mammas burger. Sadly, things are not the same high quality. The burgers served as ‘smokin mammas’ burgers were clearly not even smoked, and did...not have the reddish color and flavor as before. They could have been served at PriceSmart. One of the staff noticed our displeasure, and apologized. They offered us 4 free wings on the house, which we accepted, but still did not take away our disappointment. Will not be returning again.More

Food was really good. My dad was in the hospital next door so we ate there at least 7 times. It was yummy. The fries are recommended!

The burger and fries are really good. Food comes out pretty quick and the staff make sure you have all you need. It's a lunch spot we frequently go to.

My wife and I went there on a saturday night, think staff were sulking because they were working. Got the mushroom packed burger which arrived with literally a hand full of fries, nice burger but at $11.25 expected better and left hungry! Place has real...potential but needs a serious shake upMore

Just found this place a couple weeks ago and it is now on a VERY short list of places I want to eat in David. Tried both the Pulled Pork Sandwich and the House specialty ribs. Absolutely delicious! Portions of the main ingredient, while not...gigantic, are worth the North American prices they charge. Sides on the other hand ... I paid $18.95 for the ribs and the dozen or so homemade fries that came with them were wonderful. Serve 15 or 20 cents worth more fries (how much do potatoes cost anyway?!?!?) and make the customer feel like they are getting a full meal, not a partial serving where you can see 30% of of the plate. I do have to give them kudos on the service. Waitress was attentive and responsive.More

One visit to this place was enough to know I wont be going back. The name seems to hint at BBQ. Like ribs, chicken, etc. Nope! Bad burgers and little else. NEXT!!!

This restaurant is a must every time we come to David. Everything we've tried is good, but especially the Smokin Mamma burger. Also wonderful is the pulled pork, the smoked wings, and surprisingly excellent chicken fingers for kids. The fries are delicious, and they have...excellent vegetarian options. The staff has always been friendly. In the evening they aren't usually super busy and they easily accomadated a crowd of 15-20 of us on one occasion.More

Right next door the Hospital Mae Lewis, very convenient if you are there for appointments. Easily accessed from the Interamericana from anywhere when you're out doing errands. Smokin Mammas has friendly staff, indoor and outdoor seating, parking, bar, cold beer, clean bathrooms. The food is...prepared fresh, reasonably fast and tasty too. We've been here at least 4 times. My husband loves the pulled pork sandwich. The salads are great, the fries and starters are tasty. They offer a yummy vegetarian burger too. It is a tasty meal and good value too. Also if there is any kind of sport that you don't want to miss then don't worry it will be on one of their TVs.More

Good location, easy to find, if shopping at Price Smart, the Chiriqui Mall, the Rey, etc. It's on right side of InterAmericana if travelling from these shops to the Border or the Volcan turn off. The noise is a problem in this restaurant. I don't know if it is the acoustics or not. They do a lot of bar mixing with blenders to the point that you need to stop talking until it stops in order for the person sitting...with you to hear. This along with the loud music is uncomfortable. I have been twice. The first time I tried the pulled pork sandwich. It was really dry and tasteless in my opinion. Second time I went back I had a burger and onion bites. That was excellent. Their menu is kind of pricey considering the atmosphere, food and location. I don't think I will go back. I am really disappointed that the only barbecue place around is too noisy to be in. I think they could have a lot going for them with a few small improvements. I honestly will say that I wanted a lunch place I could kind of hang out in with friends. This is not the place.More
