Nothing fancy. Plain interior. I was passing through and stopped in for a quick meal. Food was just okay. Prices reasonable. Service average.

Just a regular cafeteria. You probably arent eating here for a romantic date. This is just your standard cafeteria, with your standard bland cafeteria foods. There is absolutely nothing interesting or good about this place. It exists, and if you are really hungry and passing...by, you can fill yourself up for pretty cheap. Also, they had a nice espresso machine there, but no one knows how to use it, so they just use the drip coffee when you want a cappucino.More

Good prices for cheap food. Ate on the town square. Fast and friendly. Better than fast food but don't expect any Michelin stars for quality.

I went in for breakfast it was busy so I thought it might be good. The coffee was good, the eggs with veggies and ham was OK a bit messy, but the toast not sure if it was supposed to be french toast or was...just wet and soggy, either way couldn't eat it.More

After 9h on the bus with just some cookies and bottled water, we were starving when we arrived in David. We just wanted to grab some food close to the central Park de Cervantes (preferably not again fast food) when we stumbled upon the MultiCafé....We paid less than 17$ for two huge plates and drinks - so it’s not as cheap as fried chicken at the local corner shop, but it’s much more healthy and filling! The food could have been a bit warmer, though.. I‘d recommend visiting during lunch hours, not the afternoon, when the food is just freshly made!More

Go where the locals go! A cafeteria style place with so many options. Fresh squeezed orange juice was awesome. Very little English spoken in this location. Large, spacious, clean and very busy location at breakfast time. We ate here several times.

Hot, dirty, crowded at lunch time. Obvious left-overs in the later afternoon. Staff overworked, often surly. Hard to find a table that's been bused. Quite unlike their MultiCafé No 2 and smaller branch in La Concepción (Bugaba), both of which provide much more appetizing surroundings...and fresher-looking food. (All 3 are self-service cafeterias).More

Multicafe is not exactly a cafe per se. It is pretty much an upscaled cafeteria style eatery. You line up, choose your food , drinks, desserts, pay. Convenient location, right next to Hotel Castillo, about half a block from the city centre park Parque Miguel...de Cervantes Saavedra. Good variety on menu, breakfast to dinner. Both western and local dishes. Food quality good. Very good air con, has wifi. Almost no English spoken there. You won't have problem ordering items by pointing though. Just slow down a notch when you speak to the staffs in English. Staffs are helpful. Gets very busy during lunch hour. Cleaniness takes a toll then e.g. Food trays and dinning tables should be cleaned properly. They used to make excellent coffee there, until the brand name coffee machine happened a few years ago. Still a decent place to grab your meal with minimum surprises . Very safe. Closes at 8 pm. Btw as per last couple weeks, the other Multicafe not far from Romero, on the other side of the same park, was closed. Don't know for how long. That Multicafe , the one that looked more like a cafe, was referred to as Multicafe I by the locals.More

I went to BOTH locations. Both are same name and same cafeteria style. There is one on the north-east side of Parque Miguel de Cervantes. It's the smaller plain one, fewer choices. The nicer bigger one is a 1-block walk from same park. Start at...west corner of park, head north-west. As for food, it was cheap and filling and easy. I like cafeteria style!More

We eat at MultiCafe quite often. It has a good selection of things to eat. It can get somewhat busy at lunch time. But the line keeps moving. They have the discount for older people so a lot of the folks eating there are of...that crowd. The service is always good. The staff is well organized and are very professional. This is one of the two that belong to the same company. I think that this one is the better of the two. The seating is comfortabe with tables that seat 4 easily. Prices are very reasonable.More

MultiCafe is a cafeteria-style restaurant with 2 locations in downtown David. This review is of the larger of the 2 restaurants, the one located next door to the Castilla Hotel. But much of the review applies to both because they have the same cafeteria-style, fare...and prices. The big draw of MultiCafe is that it's a relatively inexpensive place to eat with better than average quality food. It's quite apparent that it's the busiest restaurant in town with the bulk of their customers being locals who recognize the relative value of the place. From having eaten there several times it is also apparent that many locals find it a good place to meet up with friends and business associates. The clientele is also sprinkled with a few seemingly budget-minded tourists. The seating area is large, it is well air-conditioned and the staff is accommodating. As has been mentioned by others, indigenous women and children sometimes can be found seated outside the restaurant begging for money or food and in our experience on one occassion a child looking for a handout finagled her way inside the restaurant when the staff briefly let their guard down. But to be realistic, indigeous women and children begging is a fact of life in much of downtown David that is frequented by tourists. One final point: don't confuse the two MultiCafes in downtown David. There is another one only two blocks away, facing Parque de Cervantes. It is much smaller and is also very busy, especially at meal times, but is frequented almost exclusively by locals. The ambiance of that MultiCafe is far less attractive, however.More

This is a great choice if you are looking for something quick and inexpensive. The menu is all in Spanish, but you basically just go down the buffet line and point to the things you want them to put on your plate. There were a...lot of choices, but fairly limited vegetarian selection. The vegetable rice turned out to have shrimp in it. After you pay, you seat yourself at a table and eat. Perfectly acceptable if you are just trying to get in and out without a big fuss.More

Despite what Irene writes my wife and I have visited this restauraunt around 300 to 350 time over the last 7 years and we have never been asked for money although beggars do sit outside the resteraunt. Despite the recent price increases, the place still...offers good value for money and the service is still quick and cheerfulMore
