Very clean dining room. The complimentary breakfast is very tasty and complete. The hotel offers many amenities. We always stay here when we are in the area!!
We decided to go to this restaurant as the reviews were great and many of our other choices for a restaurant were closed because it was Sunday. The staff was friendly, no ambiance to this restaurant as it was so brightly lit you felt like...you were in a cafeteria. I had pizza based on the reviews and it was probably the worst I’ve eaten in a long time. My husband had a steak entree which looked nice, but tasteless. Not sure I’d ever go back. I really don’t like to give negative reviews, but this entire meal was not worth the money.More
Never thought I would go for Italian food in Panama, but being Easter Sunday, the restaurant selection was very limited. What a pleasant surprise. Local Beer, sea bass ceviche appetizer and excellent spaghetti with meatballs and garlic bread. Everything was tasty, fresh and the meatballs...were loaded with chunks of fresh garlic, which I love! We had the breakfast buffet, a pizza, and evening barbecue. The cappuccino and omelette at breakfast were fine, the rest was nothing special. The topping on the pizza was good but the crust was doughy. The evening barbecue was ok if you love meat. My...tenderloin beef kabob was tender and plentiful, but my companion got a gristly steak. I judge restaurants by their attention to detail on salads, vegetables and sides. The salad bar was uninspired, baked potato only came with a little tub of butter, and the corn on the cob was tough and unedible. Cost was pretty high for less than quality meals. We also atem at Stylos and had far better food for similar cost.More

While traveling through David, Chiriqui we stopped at the Gran Hotel Nacional Restaurant. The hotel and restaurant were very attractive. The wait staff were friendly and welcoming. We were very hungry, so we chose the buffet meal, which was perfect - fast and filling! The...food selections were numerous, with various salads, rice & pasta, pork & chicken entrees, bread and one type of dessert. Everything was delicious! We would love to dine at the Gran Hotel Nacional when visiting in the Chiriqui Province again!More
Have been to this restaurant a few sundays and they serve a very good and moneywise buffet lunch. It has a wide variety of seafood, meat and chicken plates and also side dishes such as paella, pasta and french fries.

Nothing beats starting the day with a good breakfast. To some Panamanians like myself, that involves options such as liver and onions with hojaldras, or tasajo, oatmeal with fixings, papaya, among other local foods. I have had breakfast here off and on over the past...20 years and it never disappoints. The service always exceeds expectations and this time around, I noticed that my coffee had a pretty design (I ordered a "café con leche"). Start your day in David by having breakfast here.More

Best coffee and brunch for under 20 bucks for two. Great service they have a omelet station. You can sit for hours.
The food here is pretty good. The portions sizes are generous enough that two can share one dish and both be satisfied. The service is good and the atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Went as a couple dining out but saw that they were very...accommodating to groups and families as well. Most people dining here seemed to also be hotel guest but they also have a good number of local regulars that come for the good good in a nice but relaxed atmosphere. I would recommend this place to anyone.More
