We went to this Gelateria as we read that they had several plant-based options. At the time of our visit (July 2022) there were 4 different flavors (Strawberry, Pataya, Mango and Guabana). I tried the Pataya and Mango flavors and it was delicious. There are...several tables and chairs in case you would like to enjoy your icecream inside. Furthermore what I really appreciated is that they are dog friendly and sell homemade dog treats. All proceeds of these treats go to the local DogCamp.More

If you go to Boquete you have to stop here. The gelatos are amazing, the flavors are well chosen and you can mix the flavors in a large cone. We love it, especially the kids.

The gelato was good. I preferred the pistachio to the strawberry. It was creamier. The staff was very friendly. The gelato was reasonably priced.

I ordered a small cup with two flavors of gelato: coffee and lemon. I ate it so fast that I didn’t get a photo. Maybe next time.

You won't miss this place in downtown Boquete, and you definitely want to try these three flavors: maracuyá (or passion fruit, as we call it) and guanabana--best as a duo!--and the pistachio. (The chocolate was a little bland and needs to be a darker, richer...version, IMHO.)More

I love the variety of flavors and that some are standard favorites. The shop is always clean and staff friendly. The hardest part is selecting your flavor. Ice cream creamy and I’d great quality! Definitely worth visiting.. you will be back!

I visited Gelateria La Ghiotta today for a small cup. Maybe it was the flavor I chose, cafe, that was the problem. I just didn’t find it that great. To be fair, I will return to try a different flavor.

We were in Boquete for one week. We stayed with friends who spend a couple months + there every year. Most of our days ended at La Ghiotta. Service is friendly and the gelato is legitimate. Nice end of day treat.

On our 4 night stay in Boquete we called in here every day. The ice cream flavours are so intense - we particularly loved the chocolate and coffee flavours. The portion sizes are very generous. I had this gelato every day I was in Boquete! The rich flavors and homemade waffle cones were super delicious. They hooked me the first time I tried some. My friends said I was strung out. They introduce new flavors daily and they did not...disappoint. I’m a cookies and cream kind of gal, but the flavors were so rich and delightful. I tried to get them all, but there are only so many you can eat if you do one in the morning and one at night. The staff is super friendly and you can sample any flavor you see when you arrive. We were dying for coffee Gelato and in a place that grows coffee you would expect that was possible, nope not until we found this fun little place. Clean neat and such nice people! Also prices are very fair.
