We enjoyed the mixed mezze lunch here and loved every bite. The fried pastrami empanada-type dish was exceptionally delicious and the mezze starters were all very fresh and tasted homemade. Would definitely come back again.
My wife and I went here for dinner after a day out on the tours. We had the mezze menu for 2 which had a spread of delicious mezze, great mains with the garlic chicken and lamb liver, and some dessert to end.
Definitely worth...it. Not as cheap as the other options in town but this was good value for the price. Highly recommended!More
This was such a lovely meal and wonderful mezze's. The flavors were wonderful and the atmosphere was great. We had a great selection of food and it all tasted so fresh. The owners were kind and welcoming. Would highly recommend!
The food is delicious and the portions are filling. The service is very good. We went there on a Thursday evening, so it wasn't crowded. The restaurant itself is a bit small but it has a great ambiance. It is a bit pricy.
Ambience and food were wonderful. The mezze menu was of great value and all the dishes were great, liver and chicken were delicious. The only bad taste that was left at the end of the evening was when I was told the card machine was...‘broken’ and I had to pay cash. Having lived in Istanbul for many years this is the oldest trick in the book. Pay cash and it saves them giving you a receipt and paying card expenses. They are required to give you a 18% discount - which they didn’t nor did I stupidly ask for. Watch out for this, I’m sure they try it on most foreigners who walk through the door. Disappointing.More
We were attracted to try this restaurant because of the name and sign! The staff were lovely and food very good. We would have preferred a few more vegetarian options but would still recommend as the atmosphere is so good. I also tried the local...white wine which was very good.More
We ate at Ziggy’s for a late lunch. The cool upstairs room, offered welcome shade, although there are plenty of tables on outside terraces if you prefer. The staff were very welcoming and the service was great throughout. We ordered mixed meze, followed by a...shepherd’s salad, garlic chicken kebabs and a liver and onion dish. The meze were all good, especially the Ziggy special of marinated cheese, olives and nuts. The bread ‘dipping sauce’ - tasting rather liked a concentrated gazpacho, was delicious. The chicken kebabs were very flavoursome and moist. For me the star of the show was the liver dish. Tender slivers of liver, perfectly cooked and served with a rich onion sauce - no chewing required! Would definitely visit again.More
