The staff are very friendly. I went there and they were very accommodating The food is absolutely wonderful and authentic. Reasonably priced and good portions. with the art of baobab in the restaurant, it gives you the feeling of the presence of the baobab tree...inside... One of my favourite places to go to whenever I'm in Arusha.More

WOW! Totally unexpected. After reviewing the menu from starter to dessert of American fair, I flipped the page to find a menu of Indian food. We asked the manager if it was good and he assured us that the chef was in fact from India...and specialized in these east Asian dishes. They were the best Indiann dishes We've ever had! Not only that, the lovely manager replaced the bottle of wine that we weren't very keen on and brought us a new one which was fantastic. Thank-you again from your Canadian diners!More

This was my 7th or 8th time at the African Tulip. I've grown to really appreciate the variety they offer here at the restaurant. Even my food-allergic daughter found things to eat. They're very attentive and even when they're full, it still feels quiet and...comfortable. I bring groups here all the time and in seven years, we've never had a bad stay or a bad meal.More

After a TucTuc ride through Arusha and some trouble finding the restaurant we were more than happy to enjoy our dinner at the Baobab Restaurant. It’s a very nice location with really great food & wonderful service - very friendly as well as professional. Even...the cook came to say hello & asked about our wellbeing. It‘s located in the Tulip Hotel and accessable also for guests not staying in the hotel.More

We were fortunate to begin our Tanzania trip at the African Tulip, where we benefitted from this in-house restaurant. Yes, the food was delicious and plentiful. The ice cream is unbelievable. But, the delightful young ladies who hosted and served us were simply some of...the warmest and pleasant waiters we have ever encountered. Mary and Edna greeted us and tended to us like we were family, and it made the experience of our five meals there so much more rewarding.More

Went out to have meals at the great restaurant with friends. The service and food serviced were incredible. As we were different nationalities, everyone ordered something different and the great guys here did everything to accommodate us. I say thank you for the great hospitality.

We've had lunch here and took a combination of cooked, Indian vegetables and a soup. Quality was 'just fine' but there's so much better food in town that's it's actually quite a waste to book this place for a decent dinner/lunch.

I hold off on getting the signature hakuna matata until the last day of my trips. It's a fantastic cocktail and is a great way to kick off a meal that features quality, local ingredients and highlights the unique local cultural foods and British influenced...fare.More
