We were attracted by the very appealing music of the live band, which played English rock classics. This continued throughout the evening. We were served by a motivated and cheerful group of young men, with whom even a conversation in English was a real pleasure. We really enjoyed the evening.

I had the most wonderful experience at this restaurant, and a huge part of that was thanks to the incredible kindness and warmth of Eni and Chef Budi. Eni’s service was impeccable, but more than that, she treated us with such genuine care and attentiveness—it felt like we were being welcomed into a home. Chef Budi’s talent shines through every dish, but what really touched us was his generosity and the love he clearly pours into his craft. Together, they made our meal lovely and truly memorable. I had the most fabulous time in my cooking class with Budi and Ayu this morning. I got a personal trip to the local market and then a ride back to the hotel for the cooking class. The setting is also amazing, looking out into the rice fields with the sounds of birds and chickens wandering throughout the grounds. Both Budi and Ayu are warm and gracious hosts and I look forward to making some of the Balinese food when I get home. I then got to sit down a feast on the delicious food, those pandan and coconut crepes are to die for. I highly recommend this activity to those visiting Ubud!

I stayed at the Plataran Ubud Hotel, which offers a cooking class on Tuesdays. It starts at 8 AM in the morning with a tour of the local market, introducing real food ingredients with a lively view. After returning, the class begins. We cooked 3 Balinese dishes with the chef's heartfelt assistance and kind manner. I had a great time, and the meal was excellent, complemented by a beautiful view.

We had the most wonderful private(!) cooking class with Budi and Desi! 10/10 Experience and I highly recommend this to everyone getting the chance to book this cooking class! MUST RECOMMEND!
First we got taken to the local market where Budi showed us all the ingredients and the different delicacies and special ingredients of Bali. Budi was wonderful in showing the various traditional elements of the Balinese kitchen on top of all the other special Balinese products the markets sells.
Afterwards we made three different traditional Balinese dishes with Budi and Desi! The location for the cooking class was fantastic, outside next to the Plataran Ubud hotel we stayed at. A big plus is that the cooking class is private so it felt very fun and Budi and Desi really connected with us the whole time! Budi and Desi were so kind and sweet and guided us perfectly throughout the preparation of the dishes (we got to do it all ourselves each step of the way!)! The food tasted divinely and we got treated to our own made food once we were finished alongside a beautiful pond with a view over the Plataran Ubud hotel.

I booked a market tour and cooking class from 8-11. The whole experience was great and very hands on. We learned how to make traditional Balinese spice, then used it with steam fish wrapped in banana leaves, satay, chicken skewers and gluten free pancakes. Chef Budi and his helper Sumbawa, were kind, patient and excellent guides to Balinese cuisine I highly recommend them

I signed up for a cooking class for my two daughters and it was the best experience.
A chef named Budi helped us with everything from the market tour to cooking, and taught us very kindly.
A person named Marla was there to help, took pictures, and the children were really happy.
If you and your family are nearby, be sure to sign up and listen. The scenery is really nice too.

I always have dinner here every time I visit Ubud. I love the bands and the music they play here everynight ❤️❤️, really great atmosphere. Also, the food is really great and they have a lot of options weather you like meat, fish, or vegetarian foods. I can't get enough of the atmosphere here and it's one of the reasons I stay in Ubud whenever I vacation in Bali. The waiters are very friendly, especially Dewi, she was very helpful and kind. I will definitely come here again whenever I'm in Ubud.

Chef Budi & Subawa were amazing staffs from shopping at traditional market and to Paon Bali, place where we made our own lunch. Amy and I went for a traditional Ballenese lunch. we made them all together. we played our favorite music while were making those. Serene outlook with exceptional dishes and coconut juice was a great combination. Amy loved it!

We started the day with a tour of the local market. Chef Budi described the local herbs and spices, fruit and veggies and a bunch of handmade Balianese deserts. We bought some freshly fried doghnuts to enjoy with a coffee. The class is set in an open bungalow overlooking the rice paddies and a water feature, oh la là, very romantic.
Thanks to waitress Arik who helped us take some great pics and Chef Budi gave us clear demos for prep and cooking. These guys really love what they do! We made 3 main dishes; Lewar Be Siap (minced Chicken, Shallot, Chilli & Balinese Spices) , Sate Lilit Ayam (Chicken Sate) and Pepe’s Ikan (Mahi Mahi) & Dadar Gulung Nangka (Pendan Pancake w Coconut). The best part is enjoying your labours and taking in the views. Personalised service and a great experience. Highly recommended!!

During stay plataran hotel, I joined bali traditional cooking class. It was very nice. Chef teached me 3 bali traditional food and 1 dessert and explained all of ingredient very kindly for 2hours. And, offered very nice location for eatting!

Me and my boyfriend did the cooking class experience, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The chef was really experienced and attentive, and we were able to get stuck into four different Balinese dishes which were served to us after the session. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Ubud.
