A magnificent place! I’m absolutely thrilled! It’s very atmospheric and aesthetically pleasing inside, with soft, pleasant, romantic music playing in the background. The food is excellent—everything we ordered was incredibly delicious. The waitstaff are adorable, responding quickly and politely to all our requests.
I’d especially like to highlight Gusti, one of the waiters, who was very friendly, cheerful, and took the time to explain the dishes we were interested in.
In short, I wholeheartedly recommend this place!

I am vegan and at herb library there is more than enough option for people who wants to eat vegan.
The whole staff was very friendly especially Liami.
The home made ice tea and my food was very delicious, especially the Tempe (have never eaten a better one).
And for the perfect magical evening was also a live band playing great music.
So all in all… more than great.
I will come again for sure and I truely recommend it here.

Herblibrary offers an incredible dining experience with fresh, flavorful dishes and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The food is beautifully presented and delicious.
Angga and Sugi made my visit exceptional with their friendliness, attentiveness, and great menu recommendations. Their hospitality added a special touch to an already amazing meal.
With its cozy, lush ambiance and top-notch food, Herblibrary is a gem in Ubud. I’ll definitely be back!

This place was horrible in our opinion. The sign outside said ”slow food” but despite that we did not expect such slow service. After we got our table it took 30 minutes to only get our drinks (BEERS so not even anything you have to make, just open the bottle) and during that time the restaurant only had maybe 5 people in addition to us and the waiters were just chilling at the cashier like no worries eventhough we were waiting our drinks. They did not seem to care at all and were very unfriendly also. After the drinks it still took 1 hour to get our food. The food itself was extremely overprized and it did not taste like anything, very distasteful. This was a big disappointment, do not recommend at all. Waste of money and time, and got nothing in return except irritation.

After a 12 hour travel day and little food to hold us over, we were sure that anything would suffice. We went to the first restaurant we could get to near our Airbnb and were so glad we did. Our waitress, Trisna raised the bar of what a means to serve. The food was unbelievable, the price could’ve been quadrupled and what’s more, the environment would’ve been worth the stop with nothing else. Trisha brought us complimentary herbal tea to sip on and enjoy with the live music as we waited for our dessert. We will be back, every day we’re here without a doubt. Don’t miss this place!

This restaurant is a lovely find, combining a quiet, scenic location with easy access to center of Ubud. The ambiance is tasteful and relaxed, offering a perfect escape from the bustle of the busy town.

I’m absolutely in love with the poke bowl at Herb Library 🥰 Every time I’m in Ubud, I just have to stop by! The food is incredible, and the people working here are just as wonderful. The atmosphere is always so warm, welcoming, and full of good vibes. The evenings are especially magical, with live music, candles, and sometimes even a little dancing! Today, I had the pleasure of being served by the lovely Miss Liani, who made sure I felt right at home and really enjoyed my meal. She’s such a sweet and kind person, speaks perfect English, and truly cares about making customers happy. Honestly, who wouldn’t feel joyful in this little piece of paradise?! This restaurant not only offers a unique and lovely dining ambience but the staff (including Sintya and Leni) is so attentive and accommodating. The ingredients are especially fresh (it almost feels like paddock to plate) and all dishes cooked to perfection. I must also make mention of the cocktails being beautifully crafted and did I mention the beautiful acoustic music from love musicians most nights? My friend snuck back to the restaurant for more wine, light eats and song, which one can easily do in this very friendly, chilled restaurant; it has a feeling of such comfort and warmth! I have been returning to this gem of a restaurant for many years and it never disappoints! Highly recommend!

It’s my daughter’s 8th birthday and I told them about it in my booking. They surprised us with a chocolate cake with candles while the musician was playing happy birthday song on guitar. Trisna was very helpful and kind and responded our request with a smile. It’s truly memorable evening.
And the food was great and healthy. My children loved the Red juice.

Herb Library had a plethora of fresh, healthy offerings every morning. My wife and I were staying at the hotel so these meals were provided complementary. The staff was always friendly and talkative and quickly remembered our preferences. The food was very fresh and delicious and serving sizes were perfect, leaving us feeling energized and ready for the day. The coffee was outstanding, particularly the iced cold brews. The croissants were light and crispy, and the local jam was out of this world. We looked forward to breakfast every day at Herb Library!

We were welcomed with a very subtle and beautiful ambience followed by the traditional dish “gado gado” which tasted nice.
The taste was different but nice and the staff was very polite and smiling. A must go if you are brushing through.
Also the live music just added stars to the night.

Herb Library was a delicious peaceful oasis. Just what we were looking for in the hustle and bustle of central Ubud. We enjoyed tasty, healthy food and great, friendly service from our waiter Nanda who was very patient as I couldn't decide what to eat or drink from their large menu. My husband had the special probiotic chicken bowl which he thoroughly enjoyed and I had the Cinderella salad which had a really delicious dressing. Highly recommended!

We stopped here for dinner attracted by the lights of the place and the intimate and welcoming atmosphere it offered from outside. Very suggestive location, with tables placed both under the veranda and outside. The staff is very courteous and attentive, traditional menu but a bit revisited, which still maintains the great Indonesian classics. At the end of the meal we were also offered a homemade dessert.
