Went to Soya for New Years eve. The inside was booked so I sat outside. A bit noisy because of traffic and loud music, but nice comfy chairs. I really couldn't make up my mind because they have many good choices, so had the dim sum and a bento box. The sashimi was really fresh and the teriyaki beef was perfectly cooked.

We’ve seen some mixed reviews about Soya, post Covid reopening but decided to give them a go. Usually we wouldn’t have so much food but it was a celebration so decided to order everything we were interested in. There was a small complimentary appetiser triangle of possibly tuna (?), then we enjoyed gyoza (not shown); a delicious serve of tuna tataki in miso butter sauce; cold soba noodles - impressively served on a bed of ice to keep them chilled; a dish of shredded tempura vegetables; and pork tonkatsu with its sweet onions and egg topping - this served over rice in a lovely lacquer box. It was too much food so be brought most of the pork tonkatsu home for lunch the next day. Drinks were a watermelon juice and small Bintang. The bill came to 440k and while that is more than we would typically spend between the pair of us, the quality of the food meant we were happy to pay. The tuna tataki alone, in Australia, would cost around $20 for a serving half that size. Service was very efficient though it must be said that there was only one other table there when we arrived and a different table seated when we left. Such a huge restaurant, including an air conditioned area with barely a patron. Let’s hope things pick up for them.

I went there for lunch and can recommend the sushi, which is on offer at 3 pieces for 25 000 idr. I also had the agedeshi tofu which was good. I was also presented with a dainty little samosa as a complimentary appetizer.

Food was great! Just one advice: for such high quality of the food, try he prices are ok. But please offer decent chopsticks (those offered are single use ones with edges to cut your fingers - I get better ones at every corner of Bali)

Such a chill space in Sanur, cozy ambiance Service are very professional The sushi are great too, we ordered some but the highlight for us was the Maguro Negi Maki. We also ordered some tataki and a salmon head which was great as well. Tbh price was slightly high, but I think it's not far from the average in the area They also have selections of special menu from 12-5 pm which are more affordable, and they also have Grab Dine In deals which give us a 20% discount, so overall this was a very good deal and great value for money

We had a fantastic dinner at Soya restaurant last night. We chose a selection of small plates: 1x vegetarian & 1x seafood gyoza, agedashi tofu, tuna gravlax, grilled marlin & grilled squid and seafood & veggie tempura. We also had 2 large bottles of Singaraja beer and a watermelon juice. We were given a complimentary starter of tiny seafood triangles. All weee yummy! The highlights were definitely the tofu and the grilled marlin. Our bill came to approx 580k, we’ll worth it in our opinion. We would have given our rating 5 stars, but the squid was a tiny bit over cooked. The service was very friendly and efficient. Happy to return next time snd recommend to others.

Good and very tasty! I was here for lunch and came back for dinner. The price for sushi lunch was 30.000 and in the evening for the same it’s 75.000 (???) and they serve only one sushi extra. So go for lunch instead of dinner!

Had heard very good things of Soya. The restaurant lived up to those reviews. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The menu is quite extensive with gyoza, sashimi, sushi, yukitori, nigiri, karage, donburi, bento, and all your favourites. Drinks are varied and good value. Serving sizes are good (which can be a bit of a challenge in Bali) and are reasonable value. The 5 star rating is, on our visit, well deserved.

What a disappointment! I was so looking forward to a dining experience, as it should be, I love Japanese food, but it felt like waiting in a KFC. No ambience, loud pop music for the teenage staff to enjoy, the WORST cheap chopstix I have seen in my life. Untrained staff. Beautiful menu and food, but really skimped on just 1/3 of wine glass, while paying a high price. We left after entrées as I couldn't stomach the plasticity any more.

So yum SOJU from our walkin the staff ate welcoming & friendly explaining the menu choices. A complimentary dish was served as a starter. All dishes were exceptional for presentation & delicate , delicious flavours. All meals were large sizes so we walked in ut with full tummies. We will be back 🇯🇵👏😊

This restaurant has a great menu with a wide range of dishes. The drinks are also great, especially the cocktails. Even the waiters did a great job with being welcoming and patient with questions. The only thing is the atmosphere has more potential to be build up. All in all great experience!!

Great sushi in Sanur. Staff is very friendly and atmosphere on the terrace is great. Nice feeling to the interior. Sushi is real fresh and tasty, just like the tuna tataki and salmon sashimi. Staff is making an effort to make it an enjoyable evening. Would highly recommend! Not the lowest prices in Sanur, but it pays off!

All the reviews are true! 🍣 Great food, great service and great cocktails. Some of the best and freshest sushi I’ve ever had. The menu has an extensive selection of your Japanese favourites and is served without delay. The staff are really attentive, friendly, accommodating and welcoming. I will definitely be back! Well done SOYA on a beautiful dinner experience- especially for a solo traveler!

This spot in Sanur with a big menu with many usual japanese dishes. The grilled fish was excellent, and the vegan ramen was very light and healthy with decent flavor (cannot compare it to real ramen of course 😮). We did not try the sushi but it looked good when the next table got it. Will come back to try more of the menu!

The tickets and the sushi just spectacular. I highly recommend Italian sushi that brings mango and a sauce that you will flip. Sweet wine a delight. Attention, cleanliness, overall very nice place. The staff always attentive. We liked it too much.
