We recently enjoyed Christmas Eve and several other A La Carte dinners at Cucina restaurant.
The service was very good and the waiters/waitresses were attentive to our needs.
I had a special request which the manager was willing to accommodate and I felt the staff made an extra effort to make us feel comfortable at all stages throughout the evening.
The starters we had were delicious; calamari and burrata .Good quality ingredients and beautifully presented.
We tried the Gnocchi, short rib , steak and fish during our stay .
All dishes were very tasty with the exception of the fish which wasnt bad in any way , just a little bland ( tasted more fried rather than seared ) and possibly would benefit with some greenery on the plate.
Overall a very magical setting with fairy lights sparkling in the trees , consistently good food and excellent service.

We stayed at Sofitel Bali from Feb 15-18, and missed the Valentine dinner on the beach on the 14th. Ms Dita from Luxury Concierge was quick to confirm availability of the beach dinner on the 17th. Ms Eka, the F&B Manager was very thoughtful to prepare a special menu according to our dietary restrictions, but we ended up selecting the Set Menu 2, which I highly recommend.
Mr Lanang, the Restaurant Manager called our room on the 17th to inform us about the cloudy/windy weather and suggested indoor dining. Table was beautifully setup at a nice section, and we had the fantastic service from Mr Lanang & Mr Hugo. All the 5-course dishes were perfectly cooked.
This is the best Italian restaurant in Sofitel/MGallery that we had tried, and we look forward to return again.

Cucina or kitchen for you uncultured peasants out there (don't worry i had ask what it meant), is located within the 5 star sofitel resort in Nusa Dua.
My main man Topan, or Top Man as ive always called him, go way back (till about 1 hour before writing this review), will look after you and make sure all your dreams (of eating dinner) will come true.
The carbonara i had was cooked to perfection and the crispy thin bacon it was topped with is better than having a cherry on top your icecream sunday.
The wifey had the baby back ribs and finished it which shows that actions speak louder than words.
All in all cucina is reliable for an authentic(ish) italian meal.

Everything is expectable as 5 stars food and service.
The reason we have dinning in cucina because my friend was stay in Sofitel and she bought an Accor limitless membership very expensive.
It supposed to get 50% off, because we had 13 persons so we only get 10% off and nobody informed her. So we were surprise with the bill at the end. My friend feels uncomfortable because they ordered the most pricey dishes for a discount expectation with half price. When we said we want to split the bill, they said is impossible because they closed the bill already. I forgot to speak with the manager about it.
The hotel or restaurant didn’t informed us about the limit of membership discount, they said, normally people already know and it’s her 1st time to have Accor plus membership.
Pls informed the guest at beginning if they give Accor member and how the special condition of the benefits, because we could feel it’s a trap membership and only because of this hotel and restaurant who sell the product membership could get very bad reviews.

I was surprised to see the low rating you gave us for your recent experience with us. Please allow me to reclarify the rules and regulations of Accor Plus card. Indeed, as an Accor Plus card holder, guests are entitled to have certain amount of discount when dining in some outlets in the hotel. The discount varies depending on the outlets as well as the number of people dining. I believe this regulation has been well stated on the manual of the terms and conditions of the usage of the AccorPlus benefits.
Nevertheless, though it saddened me to see the bad review you posted due to this, we believe you and your friends had a great meal with us.

We started our meal today with complementary focaccia and cheese puffs followed with an entree bruschetta, followed by a main course of chicken gnocchi in truffle sauce( special order) and wild mushroom risotto and finished with a dessert of chocolate mousse and pan a cotta words can't contemplate the feeling of satisfaction that the meal gave us. The service was prompt but even more caring makes you feel welcome. I would recommend Cucina restaurant to Everyone visiting Bali Sofitel Resort Nusa Dua

This Buffet was one of the best buffets I have ever had. I have tried many Brunch buffets before but I must say the service is outstanding and is worth every penny the staff is also really nice and assists you with pretty much everything your foodie heart can desire. They have a perfect Gnocchi that i ever tried. And its really perfect.

The servers were very slow. For around 800,000 IDR per person, this restaurant is not really worth it. We went for Sunday brunch, order lobster off the menu, they served a two table spoon of chopped out lobster. Very irritating while the table next to us was having a whole lobster in a red iron pan. The server said they were “VIP” , I believe they paid as much as we do.
My glasses were empty, they didn’t even bother to offer me another drinks, even just water . NO. They need to pay attention more to guests. What all those servers do beside serving guests? Only God knows.
I do not recommend this place, please go somewhere else to get better Sunday brunch with worth of money.
This place is such a waste of money. Stay away from it.

A Big Thank You to Paula, Karen and Deb for our dining experience today at Cucina Brunch Sofitel Nusa Dua.
They won a raffle for Sofitel Sunday Brunch last visit here when dining at Sofitel and we were the lucky recipients of the raffle. It was a gesture of thanks for Balivilla4u's exceptional service to them. Once again thank you so very very much girls for spoiling us. Not forgotten.

The Cucina Restaurant is located at the Sofitel Nusa Dua. It has both indoor and outdoor dining. Topan, our waiter was very attentive and was constantly everything was to our liking.
We had the salmon pizza for entree which was surprisingly large. It had a thin crispy base and as well as salmon was covered with ricotta, red onion, capers and avocado.
For mains we had the tagliatelle and orata (whole baked sea bream). The pasta would have been better with more prawns and the fish had too much olives for my liking however others may not mind.
Overall, a good meal with great service.

It was my first time trying this italian restaurant at Sofitel Hotel. The voucher we had included a 3 course meal from the set menu they have. The food was very tasty and the servers were nice and friendly. Oh and they had a HUGE pepper grinder which was soo cool!! Our server, Juli, was so kind and had some amazing conversations with us teaching us about bali and balinese culture and places to go.

The Cucina Restaurant offers tasty breakfast, lunch, dinner, and great cocktails too. The restaurants staffs and manager are very welcoming, friendly, professional, and helpful. Great People. Especially, the manager that usually handle the breakfast, he is great in coordinating his team, making sure everything run smoothly, and ensure that his guests are happy. Totally recommended.

After 5 days in Seminyak where eating out was extremely satisfying we were looking forward to our 1st night in Nusa Dua and eating at the Cucina restaurant at our Sofitel hotel where we had only read and heard good reviews about. We were both extremely disappointed in not only the service but the quality of the food. I returned my rigatoni twice and could’ve rejected it on the 3rd time. The staff were very slow and unorganised. We were given free Gelato as a form of compensation but watched it melt halfway as we waited impatiently for cutlery. Won’t be returning..

The food at Cucina was both light and loaded with flavor. Although we came here eager to eat, we walked away more impressed by the service here. Our waiter, Topan was very friendly and helpful. He made the ambiance here and the overall experience enjoyable.

Cucina sits within the Accor complex in Nusa Dua. A high quality selection of Italian inspired dishes to suit all tastes. The dishes are all reasonably priced given the lovely setting and the excellent and attentive service. We returned a further two times because everything was just so perfect.
