Whenever we go to Atlantic City, we always order food here. The collard greens are excellent and the folks taking the orders are always friendly and efficient.

I heard so many good things about this place. Long line at the brunch spot, so we came to their takeout location near our hotel (Borgata). My mom and i spilt the pork chops, and my son had the fried shrimp. The cornbread was delectable....We opted for the pineapple coconut cake which tasted like someone’s grandmama made it, and my son enjoyed his Oreo cake. We will return when we come back.More
Went for Saturday Brunch. Friendly staff greetings. Courteous wait staff. Excellent choice of foods. Something for everyone. Food was delicious. Left full and satisfied. We will be back.
Kelsey’s food is great!! I love the band and I love supporting black owned business. My problem is the wait for service. Can you please implement a ticket system, telephone waitlist or some type of on demand reservations so customers do not have to stand...in the cold/ rain/ heat for hours waiting to eat a good meal? I pray something changes this is sad.More
I was very disappointed with our friend chicken and Whiting fish meals. The food wasn't thoroughly cooked and was extremely greasy salty and when I picked up my fish it just fell apart. The food was not fresh. If were not raining we would have...taken the food back. After eating one piece of fish I pushed the food to the side. I'm glad I didn't eat all of it because it gave me diarrhea.More
Omg! Thee best breakfast I had in a while. Everything was on point and good. We left the waiter a 100.00 tip
I love the way the food taste i stop by every time I go to atlantic city but price for the amount of food you get when you order whiting is crazy its one white cut in half an 2 ship for 27.99
Went to Atlantic City to celebrate my 50th. I chose this restaurant for the menu and because it’s black owned. The food was just ok. Please update your website to let people know the melrose location is take out only. I would have never gone...there. This is a high tourist area and people look stuff up on line.More
I heard nothing but good things and was quite excited to visit this restaurant. When we arrived it was take out only! Which sucked, then you had to use the QRL code to order, which we did. The food was going to take over an...hour to get it! Then I kept staring at the phone for an hour, nothing was sent, no text or phone call. After visiting another restaurant we went inside to see what was going on and the meal was on the side waiting for us. For what I tasted it was good, just wish it was quicker and the inside seating was open.More
We were very disappointed with the service and food on Sat for breakfast. We waited an 1/2 hour and our platters were mixed up once gone, the fish had bones (whiting's), dust falling from the ceiling fan and on on ceiling and last none of...the workers especially in kitchen did not have a mask on. Not good and have never first experienced at this location. Please.. hire more people to help at this one. Ms. Concerned.More
A coworker suggested this restaurant. I looked it up and with the friendly looks of the namesakes my husband agreed to try. We will be returning because the food was absolutely delicious and priced right. One caveat was the young lady at the front of...the house had a very smart mouth and she did not let up. I walked away to have my husband deal with her. I was taken aback because I did not expect such crassness but I will give another try soon and hope to have a better interaction that really can compliment the food experienceMore
I gave this restaurant one star because the service was absolutely terrible. Our waitress was unattentive and rude. Another waiter yelled at us. Clearly the waitstaff was rude to us because we are white. (We were the only white people in the restaurant.) The food...portions were a good size and the food was simply ok. Most certainly not worth the $98 I paid. They were not accepting reservations so we had to wait outside for about 45 minutes. I would not recommend this place at all.More
I left Melrose location a couple of minutes ago with some of my colleagues. We all agreed that we would never return to this establishment. Keisha the manager was rude and extremely unprofessional. She needs to be retrained in customer service.
Just flat out down home delicious food being served here. Absolutely everything was great. The fried chicken and side of wings were seasoned and cooked beautifully and the cabbage, string beans, and broccoli went perfect with the meal.
Great classic soul food (not the "upscale Southern" food some places try to pass off). Had smothered pork chops, collards and yams; wife had fried chicken, mac & cheese and potato salad. While price initially seems high, we ended up having enough for dinner and...lunch the next day.More
