Dinner here was one of only two disappointing meals during our week in Chengdu. We had better meals at other restaurants serving similar menus in TaiKoo Li and LanKwaiFong.

Worth the wait of about an hour (but you get the ticket that can be checked via wechat) as weekend does not allow booking. The ingredients are so fresh especially the vegetables that get mixed with the main ingredients of the dish. The flavour is...not overwhelming spicy which is nice because it seems the restaurant want to bring out the real taste of the ingredients rather than overshadowing with ma la flavour of Sichuan dish. I particularly enjoyed the Pork Knuckle in spicy garlic sauce, Sweet potato and shrimp in sweet and sour sauce and fish fillet in chilli oil which seemed to use very fresh fish. The service was fantastic! Tea (sichuan green tea) was very aromatic! No wonder there is always a long queue. The only restaurant I went twice during my stay!More
It 's yummy !! You should call in advance and cannot be late as there is always a queue waiting in line. Very authentic sichuan cuisine (I dined with my friend who is from Sichuan and he praised the dishes). Service is not bad too..., although they are quite busy at noon and about six plus onwards in the evening . I enjoyed the kung pao chicken , a typical sichuan dish. If you don"t call in advance to make a reservation , you can take a queue number and wait in line . I believe that their system is very efficient. Every dish was good !Prices are also reasonable . It's located opposite the Temple House hotel in Taikoo Li area.More
Everything was very tasty. Probably the best Sichuan food I had in Chengdu. Must try the steam roll (銀絲卷), Ma Po To Fu, and the Fish poached in Chilli oil (水煮魚). Extremely good value, too!
Very nice Sichuan Food - pleasant atmosphere - good and professional service - you will have to make a reservation for lunch - otherwise no way to get a seat
No reservations, so people start lining up early. We had to wait "only" one hour for our table, but it is worth the wait to dine at the hottest spot in Chengdu. Traditional Sichuan fare, and very spicy!
Very authentic local food with reasonable price. The waiting line is super long during the whole day, even not the dining time. I called one week before to make reservation, and they only offered table before 5pm. There is absolutely no question about the food...quality, authentic and delicious. They can adjust how spicy the dishes are to fit your taste. All desserts are fantastic. We tried them all and ordered Bing Fen (sweet jelly) twice. The restaurant is also close to Taikoo Li. Nice place to walk after dinning.More
Now a very well known local restaurant, so expect long waiting time. It is special in many ways, from table, to dish, to interior, ambience and service, so worth the wait if no too long - we waited about half an hour. The dishes taste...very good and are generally satisfying, though not exceptional, but they do look better.More
The simple and delicious food combined with the concept would be a $$$ restaurant in the states. The food is light, fresh and tasty. The surroundings are a nice change from the street food nearby without breaking the bank!
This review is for the restaurant of the same name that is opposite The Temple House rather than the address shown. Very popular with long 'queues' - it's a ticket system with your position capable of being monitored on WeChat. When we went there was...a 45 minute wait for our table so we went walkabout. This was around 1800. The restaurant itself opens at 1730 so be there early or expect to wait for that first sitting to turn over. The restaurant promises much but doesn't quite deliver. Nothing is bad but flavours weren't quite there. Not spicy enough or not quite seasoned enough or expected flavours not quite strong enough. Presentationally every was fine - nothing fancy. Service was efficient - not exactly friendly - as expected with a restaurant with high turnover. However being from HK I would say that it was very good value for money coming in at 208 RMB for a meal for two. Am told by friends this is still not considered value for money in Chengdu.More
