Nice restaurant and the nice sorroundings. Cambodian cuisine at its best. Modern, gourmet presentation of the dishes. At the end, it is still the Cambodian cuisine - a non-spicy version of the Thai cuisine (my huble own opinion). The service was good. The highlight, however,...More

We had a great dinner at Malis. What a beautiful location. Try the Fish Amok, but we all enjoyed our meals.

The first time I went, we were travelling with a large group. I wasn't impressed with the food or the service. Seemed that the place wasn't prepared for a group our size (we were about 100). Went there a second time, with a group of...More

This is one of the best breakfasts we've ever had. Order anything you want (and reorder!) from an interesting menu and dine in a beautiful space. I'd definitely come back to this one.

I read about this place in the Guardian and didn’t realise how huge and upmarket the restaurant was. We both ordered a starter. On the website it said Cambodian food is for sharing and they were right my soft shell crab from Kep was enough...More

This restaurant looks gorgeous, but the food and service do not justify its extremely high prices. I ordered the pork and pumpkin soup, but the pork was full of bones and gristle. That may be the local custom, but it doesn’t work at a fine...More

This was the stop the Scenic Cruise company chose for our arrival lunch in Siem Reap. Gorgeous, spacious restaurant! The set menu was delicious and portions were quite adequate but not ridiculously large. The bar looked welcoming. Wish we had time to return.

I always love going for their happy hours. We have great ladies nights here. The decor is stunning and the cocktails are good. Singapore Sling and Long Island ice teas are good drinks. Avoid the curry cocktail.

We had a delicious dinner here on Boxing Day, the service is very good, but a word of warning, the portions are large! I think we would have been better to have ordered a selection of dishes and shared it amongst us all.

Sorry for the delay in answering, and I really cant answer this one, maybe give them a call. The cocktails were amazing and the wine was not expensive (for the geographical location).

Description
When you dine at Malis Restaurant, not only do you get to savor delicious Cambodian cuisine, you also consume an important story. During the 1970's under the Khmer Rouge, many of Cambodia's traditional recipes that had been passed on for centuries were forgotten and vanished from the kitchen. Malis was born in 2004 in Phnom Penh out of the desire and passion to restore Cambodian cuisine to its former glory and put Cambodia back on the map as a culinary destination. Renowned for its fresh seasonal produce, delicate flavours and generous hospitality Master Chef Luu Meng and his team, decided to revive Cambodian cuisine from the past, adapt it to the present and preserve it for the future.
