Dined here on Xmas 2023 with my parents in the first floor and had good South Indian food like dosas, idlis, chutney, black pea pudding etc. This restaurant serves Indian tour groups.
If you are looking for a great place to eat some Indian comfort food in Siem Reap please just close your eyes and head to Dakshins. Do not look at other reviews and be fooled. This place servers amazing Indian food that tastes like food...you would get back home in India. The South Indian thali in my view beats even restaurants back in India. The staff are super friendly and courteous and the food like I said is really really good!More
Outstanding South Indian food. Exceptional customer service. Clean facilities.we were skeptical at first but surprised by the authenticity of southern Indian cuisine.
Food is only ok, ambience is dreadful. A few things wrong with this place as follows: Beers are 2-3 time more expensive than anywhere else. A load of irritating guests watching you tube on their phones full blast so zero ambience and highly annoying. What...is wrong with adults today especially couples. Strange. The way the food is served is in cheap white plastic bowls. Waiters do not pay attention and are often interrupted whilst taking orders from other guests barking orders. Dreadful and an evening wasted. I would skip this place.More
Lovely Indian with so much flavour. Even the coconut rice was delightful. Best Indian around Siem reap. Lots of veggie options
Perfect restaurant if you are craving indian food . It’s a family owned Team and the service and quality speaks for itself.
This is the best restaurant in SR for authentic Indian food. Its new menu is higher in prices but the quality of food is excellent. For me it is definitely better than the other Indian restaurants
Authentic south Indian food. Nicely cooked rava dosa with coconut & tomata chutney and sambar. Serving time was good and staffs with pleasing personality.
Dakhshin in Siem Reap surpasses the one in Phnom Penh. It's ambience, service and quality of food is second to none. It's a model restaurant for South-Asian and South-East Asian food. Their selection of Indian menu is worth exploring and enjoying. Try both, Lunch and...dinner, for orders. Enjoy your eat at Dakhshin and commentMore
Great food and decently priced. Portion sizes are generous and meals are full of flavour. The nan breads are also very delicious.
They serve very tasty Indian food, and I place them among the top Indian restaurants outside of India where I have eaten. Their personalised hospitality reflects the Indian motto of "athithi devobhava" and their food is very authentic. Special mention to the papad with mango...picke, the sabudana payasam and spicy mango pickle served in thali... they're super tasty.More
Without question the best Indian food in Siem Reap. Great service in a cool tranquil dining room. Ice cold beer and wine at extremely reasonable prices. Extensive menu catering for all tastes, when ordering you are asked if you want 'spicy', 'mild' or hot!'. Great...naans.More
Veru tasty indian food. We ordered Panear Tikka, which was amazing, vegetable in coconut souce, amazing coconut nan with raisings. Everything was delicious. We have been in many Indian restaurants around the world (including India), and this one is one of the bests.
We missed out on Dakshins when we were in Siem Reap early September last year. They reopened later that month after being closed due to covid restrictions. It has been over 3 years since we ate at this amazing Indian restaurant and still remains in...our hearts as the No.1 in Siem Reap. I went straight for my favourite chicken chatinad and jeera rice and was certainly not disappointed, flavours and yumminess as l remembered. Have to say the peswari nan was better than before. Only managed to eat twice on our stay but if l was holidaying alone would eat there every night. Welcome back Dakshins and wishing you a great 2023. We hope to be back to see you very soonMore
