Dined here one evening while staying at the Westin. The service and meal was simply delicious. My wife ordered the Sea Bass and I ordered the Tenderloin - we each had a small salad to start. We were extremely happy we tried this restaurant out...as both meals were fanstastic along with exceptional service! ...other than the family that allowed their kids to scream and run around the restaurant smashing into the windows the entire time! lolMore

What an amazing restaurant. The food was well prepared, and generous portions. The best barbeque I have ever had and I've bbque from Canada to United States. The staff are wonderful, polite and fast service. The owners were there and greeted us warmly. Ate here twice and both times had very good meals. The shrimp appetizer is very good and my wife had the lobster app which she enjoyed. Both times I had steak (a filet and a flank steak) and both were excellent.

We came to Panama to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary. Ruth and Veronica helped set decorations on the table, brought a small celebration cake with champagne. It was outstanding attention to detail and wanting to help us celebrate, the food and the rest of...the team at Tierra y Fuego are amazing!! Thank you for the special night :)More

The skirt steak was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. It was tender and cooked perfectly. Our server, Ignacio, was superb in attentiveness and recommendations. The salad, not on the menu, was very fresh and customized for us. Thank you to the staff at...Westin, especially Armando. We hope to visit again one day! Muchas gracias a todos.More

This place was a bit pricy, but that was to be expected considering we were getting price gauged at the Marriot resort. This is the cost of being a tourist though. We started our meal outside and the waitress told us she would bring out...mosquito repellants, but alas it never arrived and our vinegar and oil plates for the baked bread became infested with gnats quickly so we moved inside. (if you've read my other reviews I am obsessed with fresh baked bread at restaurants, damned if it fills me up theres always a mini fridge or some method of food storage available for the main course right?! ... or I can always force feed myself until my liver becomes proficiently stuffed for human foie gras... judge me as you please, I was raised by an Asian mother so I can take it). Upon moving inside we ordered the ribeye medium rare (my partner's go to dish it's basically like his french fries) and I ordered the lamb medium as well as the baked ricotta appetizer. I'm lactose intolerant, by the way, so the lactaid pills I ingested prior to eating the appetizer were a godsend. That appetizer was worth the bloat and discomfort later. WELL WORTH IT!!! Finally, the lamb was amazing, so much so my partner ate half of my dish, which I was more than ok with because that left me with more room for fresh baked bread dipped in the balsamic reduction sauce that came with the lamb. The asparagus was asparagus and that white bean mash was surprisingly flavorful and probably helped me digest the cheese appetizer. The croquettes reminded me of Portos bakery in California. (if you know you know). Overall, the best of the two dishes we tried. Oh, and the Arnold Palmer I ordered was amazing. Definitely made with fresh lemonaid or something that tasted super similar to it. They charged us 14 dollars for two sparkling waters though... so that cut deep. Be aware that the rib eye is very, very fatty. This is not what U.S. customers are used to as we usually prefer fat trimmed and to get more lean meat. However, also know that the perfect fat to meat ratio is ideal because the fat is what retains the flavor of the seasonings and allows for the leaner pieces to be more tender. The expectation of a lean cut will not be met here. Additionally, the ribeye was not actually a ribeye cut, it was a New York cut. Overall, good food, but MEH, because of the price gauging. I suggest the buffet offered at the Pacifica, because there's more variety and its cheaper.More

Missed up my order twice! I ordered a 14 ounce new york steak medium well with a baked potato. When my plate came I was so excited by its presentation. They served me the steak with MASHED PATATOES. I told the waitress and was able...to replace the mashed patatoes for the baked potatoes I had asked for in the first place. My second plate comes back now with the baked potatoes, but I finally dig into my steak and it was served rare instead off medium well as I requested. I literally chewed blood from the steak on the first bite and I instantly lost my appetite. I must say I'm off to a rough start on my 1st night in panama.More

We stayed at this resort on a business trip and ate at this restaurant with 15 other people. Because of the size of the party, they offered a limited menu. I had hoped to try some dishes I had seen on here, but it wasn't...meant to be. I had the sea bass, and we shared a variety of appetizers. It was all good food, but there was nothing truly memorable. I will say a kudos to the wait staff. My wine glass never got less than half full.More

We went with a group of probably 30 people. The staff was attentive and friendly. They took our orders efficiently. Even with so many people the appetizers came out quickly. The ricotta with squid ink flat bread was amazing. A masterful combination of sweet, savory,...with a very pleasant creamy melted cheese texture. I had the lobster, with root vegetables. The lobster was properly cooked, and only lightly seasoned. The sweetness of the meat with the clarified butty was as decadent as you expect. My wife had one of the steaks. It had a delicious sear with a wonderfully tender pink center. We also had several bottles of wine. I do not have an expansive knowledge of wine. The selection seemed quite large, and the wine chosen by our group's designated wine expert was delicious. It complemented the meal. We finished with the lime pie. As a Floridian, I am used to the slight bitterness of key limes. This pie was a perfect balance of sweet and tart. The citrus was exactly what I was looking for to close out such a rich meal. The menu is a bit pricey. However, the quality of the food and the level of service makes it worth every penny.More

Tierra is one of the 2 upscale restaurants in the Westin Playa Bonita. Never seems very crowded as most of the guests of the hotel do all inclusive buffets. Food is good, fresh and well prepared. Service is typical Central American relaxed. Quiet, elegant atmosphere.
