Taverna Piatakia is the prefect place for all admirers of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine in Zemun. Restaurant is run by Greeks and situated in Belgrade's quiet district of Zemun. During the summertime, restaurant is proud to present you beautiful open-air garden. From Tuesday till Saturday guest can enjoy in live Greek music fom 21:00 and on Sundays from 14:00. Also every working day we offer big discounts on food during Happy Hour time Tuesday to Friday between 13h-17h.

Shrimps in Metaxa Sauce

Like a small trip to Greece ! Nice atmosphere; polite waiters and great food. Only the portions could be a bit bigger. We strongly recommend to try the shrimps in Metaxa sauce!! Order enough bread not to waiste anything from that fabulous sauce!!!!

Delicious food!

Such delicious food! Also, the plates were very generous! Service was great, the atmosphere lively and prices reasonable. I would go back anytime! Ps on Sat and Sun they have performers in the restaurant, so it tends to book out. Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time if visiting over the w/e!

Poor imitiation of a Greek restaurant

Garlic. In enormous quantities. One dish contains more garlic than all Greek dishes combined. Probably because someone who knows notably little of Greece made the menu. Dishes are prepared with very little to none understanding or love for the food or ingredients, spiced just with salt and pepper. Souvlaki with honey is a rude and crude dish: they just cover small pieces of meat with honey. Everything I tasted, including bread that was too oily, was very, very far from enjoyable or nice. In total, I will not go again, or recommend it to anyone.

Complete disappointment!

We have heard a lot of good things about this restaurant and we were excited to enjoy in Greek cuisine. However, instead of tasty food we have received wannabe Greek specialties with below average quality. Staff was impolite and slow, they forgot our order and then brought a meal we didn't order. Only good thing was interior with charming Greek details.

The worst experience in my life in Piatakia New Belgrade

In my tasty food there was a small piece of metal on which I broke two of my teeth. 😭 I can only rate this experience as very bad. This piece of metal is health dangerous thing and it is not acceptable at all. Isn't the safety and health of customers the most important thing? I hope that in the future, pieces of metal, or even worse, glass, or some other undesirable materials will never be found in food.

A Very good Greek Restaurant

If you like Greek and Mediterranean cousine this is a very good spot. They have their own twist on the Greek food. Very nice garden, good service. Enjoy it.

Day 4 in Belgrade...and we found in internet a Taverna called PIATAKIA.. So after 4 days that we missed the Greek food we decide to try it... It was better than we expected..Totally GREEK!! everything excelent ,, the owner Grigoris and the stuff are very very friendly and we felt like home !! For sure we will come back..!!! Ευχαριστουμε !! 🇬🇷💙

Great experience!

New opening of Taverna Piatakia on the Danube from summer 2019. The location is great and the sunset on the river as background made a casual dinner lovely. The restaurant, the atmosphere and the decoration are in authentic Greek style and the food itself is really mouthwatering. Waiters and their service are friendly and quick. If you are looking for tasty food and courtesy, Taverna Piatakia, is a place that you cannot miss!!!!

While cold plates, hot little plates and salads are too delicious and made in true Greek style, some of the main dishes are a bit too oily. For example, grilled lamb chops and slow roasted lamb are already greasy by itself and there is no need to spill them with olive oil in the Jamie Oliver style, especially since the Greeks do not do it. It's the only thing that I do not like, otherwise, all the recommendations for the restaurant I will continue to go to.

Amazingly authentic

I was very surprised to find such unusual place in the heart of Zemun. From outisde it looks like one ordinary Vojvodina's house. But inside, in the courtyard, you just need the sea to complete the atmosphere. Totaly greek, taverna has very specific food offer. Although prices aren't so low, i was amazed by the creativity. Around 8pm live guitar music has started.

Greek atmosphere in Belgrade

Restaurant with Greek atmosphere and typical Greek dishes. Food is very tasty. It is crowdy during the weekend and without reservation, I am not sure you will find a place. Also, they have live music during the weekend.

Location of the place is such that you will not stop by it to eat. You go there by intention... and this is what we did, but unfortunately overall experience was very poor. Restaurant was full and therefore too crowded. Tables too small and chairs uncomfortable. We where lucky that table besides us was empty, so waiter used it. Otherwise no way we could eat normally... live music - no comment. Food was hardly acceptable, to be nice not to say bad. Really Greek stuff that should be good in Greek restaurant was bad. Zucchini - one of the worst I have ever tried. We asked for ‘chips’ like, they brought something looking like French fries, but almost without shape. Wet from a lot oil still inside made from old zucchini-not eatable. Grilled ship cheese was quite burned, so when you try it you just taste that. Cheese itself was almost like a gum... Based on waiter recommendation we took a portion of pork neck roasted and cocked in a wine. We got two fat pieces of simply grilled pork meet (no wine, no sauce, simple fat piece of meet) that was even not the neck! It was so hard that we had a problem to cut it with knife-just left it... we wanted to have only glass of wine. They had only house wine that was bad-I bet it didn’t cost more that 2 eur per liter in the shop... At the end we had a healthy dinner as we didn’t eat almost anything.... for us, this place never again...

A piece of Greece in Zemun

A great restaurant located near the center of Zemun, but far enough from the chaos the center brings. The garden is sweet and it makes you feel like you are in Greece. The staff is friendly and helpful and they will always try to accommodate your needs. Another big plus is that the place is pet friendly! However, you should note that the prices on their website are not up to date. Definitely a must visit if you find yourself in Zemun!
