Probably one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in HK and I’ve lived here for 33 years! Took them 20 minutes to bring our soft drinks. Got 2 out of our orders wrong. Took them 1 hour and 10 minutes to bring out our...correct order, after we flagged 3 different staff members down to let them know. There was no communication or even apology for the mistakes. We had the salt and pepper quiz, Guac and tortilla chips and the burger.: every item of food was super bland.. then we waited another 20 MINUTES for our bill because the machine had broken. Instead of serving customers who had been waiting for a long time, they served bills to people who had asked recently. If I was the owner, I would be embarrassed to call that my establishment. Overpriced for bland food and shocking service.More

Excellent view of beach from restaurant . They have great food with wide variety . There is something for everyone in their menu .Steak sandwich and calamari was loved by my boys where I enjoyed freshly baked bread with balsamic oil dressing .Lemongrass refresher cocktail...was just perfect for this hot weather . Chocolate Brownie was the perfect ending to our dinner which we devoured in no time . Staff was super attentive with a smile on their face always . Saan is most efficient and welcoming manager. Overall lovely dinner experience .Highly recommend to one and all !More

An idyllic modern beachside restaurant with stunning views next to Hong Kong’s longest white sand swimming beach. That's the apt description of "bathers". If you are in for some relax, chilled out beach kind a day with limited but yummy food and drinks by your...side, this is the place to be at the Lower Cheung Sha beach located in Lantau Island. The staff is very friendly and hospitality is great...Special shout out to SAM, we always book our table through her and she never disappoints us in terms of service... Ideal time is to go during the day, have brunch/lunch there,,, chill at the beach...watch sunset and come back....I would definitely recommend this place to those who love to have a relaxing day!More

Cheung Sha Beach is only about 30minutes by bus from Tung Chung across the mountains of Lantau Island. From the MTR Tung Chung Station Exit B, take buses 11, 11A or 23 at Tung Chung Station Bus Terminus. For Lower Cheung Sha Beach, get off...at the Cheung Sha Ha Tsuen bus stop, and walk in the same direction as the bus and take the first road left down to the beach. And relax with the beauty of nature around lantau, We bumped into Bathers just right next to the beach which is perfect location, gorgeous view 😍 It was weekdays-perfect ( not crowded ) , friendly service😍 , chill and comfy seating (love it 😍) We start with cold chardonnay which completely paired with the fried squid 🦑 with sweet chili sauce - omg 😆 its really delicioso 😋 (REALLY MUST TRY! ) , and opt to have Caesar salad, aubergine fritters, And for Mains we had Pan fried snapper & Grass fed rib eye 🥩 steak - both are amazing 😊👍🏻 and music is awesome 👏🏻 Definitely be back and try other dishes 😊and the friendly staff that made us feel very comfortable..thanks guys 👏🏻😍🤩 Forget all the ( - reviews ) , this is based on my experienced and for that Bathers deserved second chance - >good vibes and good reviews going ✌🏻 ✌🏻✌🏻😍🤩 Highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻More

Whenever I go to Bathers, I always tell myself it will be the last time, and I have finally learned my lesson. This place is pretty, and it is the only thing that it has going for it. It is overpriced, the food is average,...and the service is terrible. I do not know who "welcomed" us last Sunday, but this individual does not deserve a place in the hospitality industry. Several tables were available, and it was not terribly busy, but this gentleman still managed to be unnecessarily rude. Next time you go to Cheung Sha, look for the other options just a few steps away.More

Unfriendly, poor service. Restaurant was half empty and yet they could not offer us a table because they couldn’t be bothered. We would recommend going next door to Long Island, where you will find waiters with friendly faces and a sense of humour.

We just hiked 3 hours from Shek Kip to Cheung Sha on Friday evening and got to Bathers for dinner at 7:45pm. Huge sign at the entrance saying open until Midnight Tuesday to Saturday, however we were turned away at the door saying the kitchen...was closed. There were 5 tables sat in the restaurant. Completely gutted seeing as we had hiked there specifically. I can't recommend a business that blatantly lies.More

Well, despite the poor reviews below I got a sense that improvements have been made in terms of customer service. I noticed, the female hostess was polite and helpful - the food was good not great in relation to the prices which I felt were...super high. The menu was uninspiring and predictable. The restaurant was never full (last Sunday 23rd May) from 12-2 pm yet the other places down the beach were full. Next time I might try somewhere else.More

The Good; the hardworking Waiters and Waitresses who try and keep all the customers happy; the location by the sea. The Bad; the overpriced menu, especially the alcohol. The Ugly; the appalling customer service, the arrogant and ill-mannered Manager and 'service' greeter who do not...know anything that resembles courtesy and good manners in the service industry context. Note, this is the twelfth terrible rating this establishment has had, out of fifty five reviews - that is a shocking rate which calls upon management to have a good hard look at themselves. Therefore, know that after 35 years here, I would advise you forgo your visit to Bathers and spend your hard earned income elsewhere on Lantau Island.More
