This review is for the Lyndhurst Terrace branch. We went for congee late morning and they had no dough sticks left. Congee itself was ok but nothing special. We asked for ginger and were told off. Scolded like children and told that we have to...pay for it. It was always our intention to pay for anything we consumed. A neighbouring table suffered the same fate when they asked for some extra condiments, The man and woman running the shop were obviously unhappy to be there. If food is awesome I can forgive bad service but this is not the case here.More

My family are fans of Cantonese style noodles and congee. This place was recommended by a couple of friends, who think they are one of the best chain stores for such food in HK. They were right! We ordered wanton noodle, congee with lean meat...and century egg, braised noodles with sliced beef, and fried fish ball. All of the dishes were very delicious! We will certainly come to this store again.More

Surprised to arrive at 8:30 pm on a weeknight to an empty table and no lines. Ordered a meat ball congee and a fried fish ball with clam sauce. The congee might be one of the best I've ever had, if not the best. The...fried fish ball is very good too. Its a little on the pricey side, but still very cheap. Menu on the table is in chinese but you can ask them for an english menu. Its one of those hole in the wall shops where you share tables and get out when you're done.More

Not the most clean looking place but serves the most delicious wontonmen. The soup will taste different from morning to nigh as it concentrate and also loose some aromatics. I like both. The light broth in the morning and the concentrated broth at night specially...after a bit if drinking.More

Law Fu Kee is a noodle and congee restaurant located in Hong Kong Central district. Met a Chinese lady on a bus to the Victoria Peak, she recommends that I tried this place for some good congee and noodles. I have tried noodles and wonton...at a few different noodle shops that are Michelin one star rating like Mak's, Tsim Chai Kee (Wellington street, Central) and Ho Hung Kee (located at Terminal 1 airport, and Causeway Bay). I think Law Fu Kee has the best and tastiest noodles, wonton and dumpling (tsui kao) over the other three restaurants. The slice fish with pork congee was great. This place is clean, efficient, you may have to share the table with other guests. Servers don't speak good English but I got some help from another English speaking Chinese who shared my table. I would recommend this restaurant. Price is reasonable, it's about $HK33 for a good bowl of wonton noodle soup. This place deserves one Michelin star in my opinion. Highly recommended. I would go back again on my next trip to HK.More

Law Fu Kee is a well-known Cantonese eatery in Central. Its noodles and congee have attracted both locals and tourists. However both of them are not outstanding. Price is very reasonable especially compared with some overpriced restaurants nearby. I don't really get the reason to...come.More

Great congee spot. We left satisfied & full. The restaurant is easy to get to from the mid-level central escalators.

Having passed by this shop a few times and always can smell the attractive slow cooked beef aroma and finally I tried it. I had lo mien beef which came in huge serving which I initially thought I can't finish but surprisingly, I came close....Tender beef, loads of thinly sliced spring onion and ginger and springy noodles was good. Add the vinegar and ask for beef brisket sauce to enhance the flavor. Don't take too much of the accompanying soup, the msg level is high. I observed lots of older customer ordering porridge and younger ones the wanton. I added shrimp wanton ( sui kow) which was excellent. Throughout the meal , a very concerned waiter was asking and alternatively suggesting I should use soup to reheat the noodles which was very friendly for hong kong standards. I read the TA reviews now and porridge comes highly recommended, I'll go back for it. Price is reasonable and not as expensive as the more famous shops; this seems more local. Meal was HKD$83.More

You would never expect a simple wonton noodle and a fish congee can be this delicious, until you have visited Law Fu Kee. The clear broth with the soup wonton has the delicious prawn aromatics and the congee is pretty smooth. It's a very unassuming...little restaurant from the outside. Just step in and let your eyes and knows help you pick a treat.More

Simple food... Congee & fried fish balls with clam sauce. Small place, decent daily eats, rather decently priced. Do try the fish balls and clam sauce tho - something you don’t see it on a regular basis. Not the fanciest place but they make you...feel comfortable. Air conditioning is blasted so it’s not hot in this little space.More

I bring my foerign friends to this small traditional Hong Kong style restaurant to taste the congee and noodles. There are quite a number of varities but the congee with beef or fish is good, there are also noodles with soup or with a separate...small bowl of soup that is served with different tastes. There are also century eggs, beef tendons, vegetables and fish balls as standlone dishes. The menu maybe simple but these are the food we locals usually eat, and dont expect much about very good customer service :) Note that cash is only accepted for payment.More
