I’ve been living in Hong Kong for eight years. Hands-down the best curry restaurant in the northern territories. I’ve not spent as much time on the island but am yet to find as good there either. Great food prepared by a lovely family.
We spend more than a HK$800 for a meal which is late lunch .. and the WORST part is.. WE order 2x bottle of STILL WATER at first .. but when the staff served it .. it’s an ITALIAN brand of “still water” BUT when...we tasted it and drink it .. it’s a complete TAP water. which been served “OPEN” NO cap Then .. we order again 2x bottles and it’s happen again ... served without bottle cap.. Well.. it’s very UNTRUSTED.. .. for what we experienced in this place .. WE SUGGEST .. BE OBSERVANT.. you DONT want to pay for a tap water in a ITALIAN BOTTLE been replace .. OMG! Food .. pls go somewhere.. not worthy to spend in here. and the TOILET 🚻 ITS DISGUSTING 🤮...super smelly and stinky. How can you TRUST the food in here .. we’ve learned a lesson that’s why we would like to share it to you all.More
In a hard to find area, the food and staff were very nice, but the food did take longer then we thought it would take to come out. But all in all, nice food and nice restaurant, I will be returning there soon.
...rescued this place somewhat as they were absolutely delicious but otherwise service was muddled and confused, with some parts of our order forgotten and other things added on which we did not ask for. Elsewhere with the quality of the food, my chicken kadai was...really nice but the veggie samosas were far too hard and the cheese naan was unlike any we’ve had before.More
The Village Malaysian and Indian Restaurant is located on Po Tung Road in Sai Kung. They are open from 12 to 10pm daily and have indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is a large variety of traditional Indian dishes and a fair number of Malaysian...classics. During a recent lunch we tried their Beef Rendang that was ok. The beef was fine but the stew was very sweet, lacked the pungent rich flavours we were hoping for. We also tried the Chicken Tikka Masala that was good, the chicken was barbecued nicely and the sauce was decent. We did like the large portions of both. Pilau rice and garlic naan were both very good. Overall, not the best versions of these popular Indian nor Malaysian dishes but not bad either. The food is good enough if you fancy either and are looking for a good spot for groups to have a meal. Note: This is a vegetarian and allergy friendly restaurant, staff are happy to accommodate these dietary needs if you have them.More
Asked the manager what’s the best dish, was told beef rendang but it was so sweet and could not eat. My wife had a bad stomach after the meal and no surprises as the food trays were kept outside on the same passage to the...washroom. Will not go again.More
Came here after a lovely trek in the Sai Kung park. Were seated at around 7:30 and were able to order food. Unfortunately this didnt come until about 9:00 without any explanation or apology. Really disappointing as the food was good but not great. Restaurant...isn't really sure what it wants to be as it has a combination of Indian and Malay food. The rendang wasnt in any way malay. Food is tasty but if looking for service or something authentic I would try somewhere else.More
The food is layered with taste. No-other Induan. Malaysian restaurant, that I tried in Hong Kong, comes close. The portions are big and value for money. The service is very friendly. The setting- not so grat
Excellent service! By becks, and chef where amazing they delivered the best food and delicious best Indian and Malaysian restaurant in the town. Really enjoyed!! See you soon
We went to this place for Indian food however the food was not good at all...half cooked chicken...spices used in food were bad....next day had loose motions.... go at your own risk....
This place is well worth a visit. The food served is tasty and reasonably priced. You won’t leave hungry or disappointed. The staff is also very nice and accommodating.
We arrived at 10-30 Resturant was very busy just went for a beer and samosa but was refused service sad, try again next year 😄
Went here for lunch today and absolutely loved the food. Curries and biryanis are very authentic and sumptuous. The family managing the restaurant is really lovely and friendly and recommended great combination of entrees. Loved it and definitely going back soon!
I went to this restaurant a couple of times when I went to visit my parents in sai kung. Useless to say that the food there was exquisite and to die for. I love it and the owner really made us feel welcome. My mom...loved that place as well.More
