This is an upscale Cantonese option at Wanchai's pleasant waterfront. Decor is cozy and spacious. Menu is the standard local fare more on the traditional side. We had the mid-autumn festival dinner in the restaurant. We order some normal chinese food such as BBQ pork, clay pot chicken, vegetable with fish ball in soul, fried tou fu. I started feeling ichy all my body and some part of my body got...swollen. My husband I cannot breathe way when we drove back home. I got more serious and my whole body felt itchy and started swollen. Then my friend's body was also swollen in the next day. It is very obviously the side effect of using a lot of MSG in the food. Nobody asked us whether we had any allergy. For such an expensive resturant, ther service is standard and nothing speical.More

The restaurant itself is great, having a high ceiling with decent harbour view, a Chinese heritage themed design with a modern twist and with a topnotch service level provided. As an expat myself here, we usually go for Dimsum, as this is what Hong Kong...city best at. Some of the dishes are great and some are just meh. Taste wise, it's a mixed level of satisfaction. The deep-fried crispy Ox ribs with vinegar (脆皮牛肋條) is one of the recommended dishes here for Dimsum time, others are just fine. Honestly, if you are craving for Dimsum and taste is the utmost priority, there are more venues serving with better taste here. Maybe gonna try to have dinner next time here, see if more yummy dishes can be found, as we still don't have the chance to try the iconic barbecued pork yet. Price wise, it can easily cost up to 1000-1200HKD just for Dimsum itself, for a family of 4. To be fair, the price is OK for the location itself and the service provided.More

I've been here in HK for many (many) years and I've tried out all kind of restaurants in my entire life. To be honest, over time there're different shops taking over / different cuisine winning ground. Over time, the classic Guangdong cuisine are slowing fading...out and there're news about some really old restaurants closing up. However, Dynasty are still standing, and it still serve the same kind of cuisine that you can get when you are in the 90s in Hong Kong. They offer some truly tasty menu out there, sometimes seasonal items. But the best part is that it offers the view of the Victoria harbor while you dine. It's not the kind of experience you'll get when you go for fancy fusion / fine dining, but you get the classic taste / classic service from the old days Hong Kong. I know there're plenty of private rooms there for bigger group / family gathering / business meeting etc, where you're offered privacy while enjoying the same delicious food.More

Dynasty never disappoints for dinner. The service is so dependable. My mother thinks it is too attentive but I am ok with it. Unfortunately, they did not have the shark fin soup but the fish/seafood soup was amazing. The BBQ pork is always a must...and it is my favourite in HK. I highly recommend the fresh fish cooked any way you like as it is fresh and healthy depending on you want it prepared. Such a wonderful experience with the family.More

This was my fifth time visiting Dynasty. All dishes were delicious as usual. What impressed me most this time was it’s friendly, sophisticated staffs, Valeria and Lily. They took care of us patiently and provided excellent services. They were attentive and treated us as friends....Since my girlfriend felt uncomfortable, they kept helping her, providing her warm water and blanket proactively. Besides, they arranged and displayed the dishes in an ideal manner. They are professional and amicable. We sincerely thank them for providing a superb services to us. The staffs and dishes in Dynasty are always remarkable, making it one of the best Chinese restaurants in HK. Look forward to visiting Dynasty again!More

Spacious Chinese restaurant with high ceiling and windows that enable natural lights. Staff members know the menu well and deliver high level of services. Barbeque pork is one of their signature dish. Dimsum menu is decent however selections on menu are comparatively less than other...Chinese restaurants in 5-Star hotels. I dine here at least 6 times a year either for business or for pleasure. I am usually a dinner patron but I tried their dim sum for the first time. The ambience and decor of Dynasty is peaceful, discreet and comfortable. The staff is...attentive and knowledgable not only about the menu but finding the balance between being attentive or over bearing. Their BBQ pork is my favourite in HK. Their seafood soups or clay pot rice dishes are also very good. The dim sum menu is quite small compared to others but what they do I am sure is all good.More
