Certificate of Excellence2015 - 2018 Winner

Location and contact

Hong Kong's very first fine buffet concept, The Verandah now offers an expanded gastronomic offering in glorified new surrounds. Originally opened in 1933, variety, quality and a wealth of culinary styles are the signatures of The Verandah, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as an array of cakes and sandwiches in the afternoon.

Average food. Service good. Noisy dining room...quiet once the ‘loud’ crowd left. Seafood. Meat. Salad and ham. Desserts.

The food was generally top notch, but there was a small hiccup when we found a long piece of black hair lodged deep in one of the pieces of bread. The manager came, and stated that it is an impossibility that hair would be found...More

I had dinner with my wife at the Verandah in December and the hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas. There was a large choice of cooking stations; sushis, cold cuts, cheese, grill, fish, deserts, etc... Great quality food. The service is what you would expect...More

Old world charm, excellent food, and superb service. The total experience is an event -- dining in an Institution on today's food, and old world service.

It’s my 2nd year in a role to celebrate my birthday in Verandah, it’s my favorite go-to place to celebrate anniversary. Great vibe and good food!

One of the best buffets in town. Dish variety is not as plenty as other five stars hotels like InterContinental’s Harbourside, but overall food quality is definitely top notch. Sashimi is surprisingly fresh for a buffet. Desserts and seafood are the highlights.

Smart casual. In the evening men to wear long trousers. Most places in HK are pretty casual.
