I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Australia Dairy Company! This popular eatery in Hong Kong has a lively atmosphere that perfectly captures the essence of local dining. The moment I stepped in, I could feel the buzz of patrons enjoying their meals. The food was excellent—especially the scrambled eggs, which were incredibly fluffy and delicious. I also tried the toast and milk tea, both of which were spot on. The combination made for a hearty breakfast that left me satisfied. The service was efficient, with staff moving quickly to take orders and deliver food. However, it can feel a bit rushed, which might not be for everyone. If you’re looking for a leisurely meal, prepare for a fast-paced dining experience! The prices are quite reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, making it a great value overall. In summary, Australia Dairy Company is a fantastic choice for a quick and tasty breakfast. I’ll definitely be returning to sample more of their menu!

We were recommended Australian Diary Company on Parkes Street when a friend heard we enjoyed the steam milk from Yee Shun Milk Company. We popped by on a Monday afternoon past the busy lunch hour, but this eatery was still rather full. But the queue moved quickly and we were soon shown to a table. We ordered milk pudding, egg pudding, toast with fried eggs, hot milk and milk tea. Many of their customers were regulars, ordering toast with scrambled eggs.

The Australia Dairy Cy in Jordan, Hong Kong, has been around for decades and is an institution. We had gone past o few times during daytime and were deterred by long queues. This time we went for late dinner and got in right away... your menu will be on the table after 10 seconds and if you have not made your choice after 30 seconds the waiter will get impatient. but contrary to folklore, the waiters were neither rude nor snobbish but quite nice. What is the staple diet here is the milk tea and the toast with omelette. The latter is actually quite nice, fluffy and not in the least soggy. We ordered that and it was on the table within less than 90 seconds.... in some respects this was the fastest dinner I recall: 13 1/2 minutes from sitting down to paying the bill....

Went early to avoid long lines, and though there was already a queue, we got in within a few minutes. So tip: be early✨️ The staff noticed we were tourists and immediately gave us English menus, which was thoughtful, though I already knew what I wanted – the first one, the breakfast set! The eggs and toast were absolutely delicious, defo the highlight. Love the milk tea as well♡ However, I couldn't finish the macaroni soup with ham as the place became crowded and my friends felt a bit pressured by the waiters constantly watching us, waiting for us to finish😅 I've told my friends beforehand about cha chaan teng culture—it's quick, efficient, and you're expected to eat fast. You don't really linger or have time for chit-chat, which may surprise some, but it's all part of the local experience. If you're not aware of the process, you might think the waiters are rude, but no, they're not. They just don't have time to waste. Since I was aware of this, I was fine with the pace and loved getting to try this classic Hong Kong breakfast. I myself was a bit scared before, but after visiting Hong Kong in 2018, I understood it and now love experiencing it. The speed at which the food arrived was impressive—everything was served within minutes! Defo a must-visit if you want an authentic Hong Kong breakfast, but be ready for the rapid pace! ((゚ロ゚;) My tips: Don't go in without knowing what you want. Just order quickly. You can google the menu in advance, but if you want the breakfast set, it's the first option on the menu. They'll give you an English menu, so just point and order quickly. They'll ask about your eggs—fried or scrambled—and whether you want coffee or milk tea, so choose quickly. Don't chit-chat too much so they won't take your plates, thinking you're done eating, zehahaha. It's not every day I get to experience and try a Hong Kong cha chaan teng, so despite the fast pace, it's still a special memory for me.

Eat a breakfast package, the service staff at the time of cooking the language is not good, English is not good, difficult to communicate, for the first time visitors, ask more than one word, and the attitude is very bad. In addition to steak milk, other flavors are actually very smooth. No need for superstitious network recommendations.

We were given one table to seat my family of five. Without being waived over, a watress figuratively pushed us to order. She then proceeded to bark orders at us regarding the limited space on our table, which restricted us from ordering drinks. Overall, the food was good if you like a bit of adrenaline before your meal, because you will experience the worst that a restaurant can offer

As the title says, being groom myself with the "mamak" culture in Malaysia where you are free 2 sit 1 to 2 or even 3 hours with just 1-2 cups of drinks, this dine was the mega culture shock 2 me. Here you are forced 2 share the table and from taking order 2 receiving food on table is way 2 pacy than what i ever expected. After eat gotta pay bills and get the F out 4 others 2 sit down your place. My dine time with 6 family is 20 mins. So in the HK cultural POV it is better 2 take away if you frequent there regularly. As the 1st time visitor, this is an awe with great basic breakfast at the slightly higher price range. The "tau fuh fa" is worth every bucks with variety of flavour. My personal favourite is almond. I highly recommend this place and if you prefer less Q better 2 come after 9.30am. I arrived at 9am but still have 2 wait with long queue.

Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in a rush or want to try out a highly efficient restaurant. From ordering to paying the bill after eating , it might take you 10mins only. Their scrambled eggs are really good , would only recommend that as others are just soso

This restaurant is an authentic cha chaan teng experience. We visited many times during our two week stay in Hong Kong. The food is cheap, delicious and is served fast! Perfect for hungry travellers. Don’t worry about long queues outside, they go down very quickly. The longest we waited for was 20 minutes but usually we were in within 5 minutes. You get to sit with others on a small table but it’s a great way to meet people also visiting HK. Make sure you quickly decide what to order and have cash to pay. Only one waitress on one occasion was a bit bossy but most were fine. It’s all part of the experience and certainly wouldn’t put me off going again. I’m already craving the french toast.

I had been seeing queues for this place every time I walked by and I made it my mission to eat here. I was not disappointed. All I had was a plain jane egg sandwich with cheese and for some odd reason the sandwich had me seeing stars. I can confidently say those were the best scrambled eggs of my life. I literally started gauging, while eating the first sandwich, whether I could order and finish a second one (the answer was unfortunately no because my eyes are bigger than my stomach space). Regarding staff and atmosphere. This place is all hustle and bustle, with the queues outside who can blame them. The staff was nice and provided me with an English menu when it was very clear I needed help. Overall, I highly recommend coming here. You will not be disappointed.

This place has retained its charm over many many years of operation, and for those visiting from overseas you may find this is your first actual authentic Hong Kong hospitality experience. There are reviews here that mention the impatience of the staff albeit the quick to go, appetizing breakfast set - do not let this put you off; this holds true to the local experience of growing up in a quick paced environment and exchanging tibbits of daily gossip and news with overly busy staff. You will notice this when elderly people can shovel food into their mouths faster than you can say hello. If you're up for the challenge of being local, this is a great place to be for the experience (not necessarily Michelin star food quality but then again at this price range it wouldn't make sense for it to be). If not, prepare to be disappointed.

The place is crowded with local people and also travelers. The space is quite small so you might share table with others. The food is served quickly even though they are so busy. I have good experience here. The Food is moderate to me, or maybe I don’t feel quite familiar with the meal; however, I like the HK style milk tea

One of those overhyped and over rated places probably made famous by some stupid Instagram influencer. Not worth the long queues and rushed/rude service. Had better desserts in Hong Kong. It's basically a tourist trap. Happy to accept rude service if the food is good but the food was just bland. Very surprised by some of the positive reviews this place has as the food is just plain average for Hong Kong. And I was stupid enough to queue for that garbage

Went to this place, ready to wait in line to check out for ourselves the very famous breakfast set. So what's the fuss? The macaroni soup with a few slivers of ham was ordinary and the much praised scrambled egg is something you can also do at home.

Very long queue outside, stretching the length of a few shops when we got there. I thought it would take a long wait for us to get in as there were at least 40 people in front of us in the queue, but was pleasantly surprised to see the queue move very fast. Within 15 mins we were shown to a table. Restuarant was also very busy. Staff extremely efficient, from the guy directing people to tables at the door to the waiters who were very quick at service. The restuarant is very old style and only serves 1 type of lunch set. Toast and egg (either scrambled or fried) and a soup macaroni with roast pork or beef (can switch to spaghetti instead of macaroni). The set comes with a drink. Good price of HK46 per set. We enjoyed very much the old time environment . No pretentious atmosphere, just very natural. Food was very good. Particularly the piece of toast was very good. A unique restuarant. They even have a wiki entry and I read about the restuarant before in newspapers. Good experience. Very good

Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
