Wonderful panorama is enjoyed for sure by us at Marriott Shatin, with the famous Shatin racecourse and River in front, and nice-looking mountain ranges further away as a backdrop. Transport is convenient, with an MTR station behind the hotel. An interesting “Club One” restaurant (in the form of a stone ship) is by the river nearby. Plz consider cycling, jogging and dining within walking distance of hotel. Indeed the(Shing Mun)River brings us fun, night-time romance as well as healthy activities.

It was my first time to visit MoMo Café, located at the Courtyard Hong Kong Sha Tin, No. 1 On Ping Street, Sha Tin. It’s my birthday🥳, so I made a reservation online early in the morning, and I almost got a meal after the discount. The four of us were arranged to sit inside the room. Although it was not very convenient when grabbing food, the seats were quite comfortable.
I mainly ate long-legged crabs, crab claws, frozen shrimps, oysters, sashimi, sushi, stewed soups, steaks, lamb racks, steamed fish and noodle soup. That night, each person received half a steamed lobster and a hairy crab. I was pretty satisfied with all of them, my favorite was the crab claws, which were sweet and meaty, and the lamb rack was so soft and juicy. There is unlimited tea or coffee in the self-service area. The dessert area is relatively ordinary. The best is the tofu cake. The ice creams include Movenpick and häagen-dazs, which can make up for the lack of desserts.
After the discount, it is a cost-effective hotel buffet😊, but the service needs to be improved.
🏷️Warm reminder~ The entire dining experience is a personal opinion shared and is for reference only😊.

My friend and I had a superb dinner here last November and he really revelled in the seafood buffet while I had a medium rare porterhouse steak that had been cooked to perfection. This is the perfect place on Hong Kong Island to bring your best friend to!

It’s my grandma’s birthday on November 26th. It’s kkday book. There are 2 adults, 2 elders, and a baby who is 2 and a half years old. We went to have dinner buffet to celebrate. When I went to the front desk, a male employee wearing glasses gave me the book code. When I asked, I just mentioned: "I have a baby girl who is 2 and a half years old." The male employee wearing glasses sighed and shook his head, even looking at me, and told me to wait for a while. At that moment I thought, did I do something wrong to offend you?
The male staff wearing glasses arranged for us to sit in a booth about 100-200 meters away from the front desk. Anyone who has been trained as a restaurant waiter should know that it is not suitable for children to sit at the intersection or at the serving table, but the male staff wearing glasses did. A child is arranged to sit in this seat. Guests come and go with food in their hands, the dining cart is pushed in and out, and the BB stool is almost pushed into the seat, and the BB's feet are supported the whole time (pictured).
I asked other staff if it was possible to change seats, and I specified that I would like to move to a four-person square dining table by the window to make it easier to take care of the children. The staff went back to the front desk and wanted to ask the man wearing glasses, but the man wearing glasses shook his head and said that he could not change the channel because it was fully booked that night. My dining table is a card-seat dining table for four people. I don’t know how changing it to a long dining table for four people will affect you more than me.
Marriott is a world-class brand, and the buffets I have eaten at include Marriott in Admiralty, Marriott in Ocean Park, and Marriott courtyard in Sai Ying Pun. This is the first time I have eaten so badly.

We had our lunch buffet on June, the overall variety was ok and the meal was included in the staycation package. However, one day later, both of us had serious vomiting and high fever. We started to suspect the oysters were not in a good quality as we saw their oyster cleaning process was terrible. No running water was used and they used the same bowl of water repetitively. Two days later, we saw the local news that there were other groups of people having the same issue. The restaurant did not reach out to us at first, we wrote them an email but the reaction was not prompt at all. Two months later, they now reached us and said there could be a $500hkd claim but we don’t think that could cover our staycation package, the medical costs and the effect brought to us at work. Their handling was so bad that made us won’t go back to that restaurant.

Due to the pandemic, it seems more safe (and less packed) to do in-room dining than dine-in the restaurant.
We did lower our expectation as there are limitations of quality control over take-away food.
However, all dishes, especially the medium cooked lamb rack and tenderloin, were served in surprisingly high quality. Meats were in juicy taste, not too dry, nor overcooked.
With such lower-than-average price tags, we highly recommend these.

Only cafe open, staff pleasant and helpful, food geared to usual buffet but don't go for just coffee and cake as the prices are totally over the top. Since it was the only outlet open we had no choice inside the hotel and were charged AUD40 for 3 coffees and 1 small pastry - I left disgusted with being gouged.

A great place to stay in Hongkong. All staffs are well trained and very polite with great help for any requests. They do provide free shuttle bus to malls and some busy area. It is a very clean and well managed hotel. Special thanks to restaurant manager Wendy Hui for her extended help for my request. I was staying in room 1225 for 2 days only. But it makes me feel like at home. Thanks to all the front desk staffs too. Definitely I will stay in the same hotel if I am back in town. Please keep up the work. I do stay with SPG group hotels in North America. This hotel service are way better than most Americans chains. They should come here learn how to manage a hotel.

A bit disappointed for the varieties but was told it's because MoMo is under renovation so their Grand Ballroom is not equipped as MoMo.

MoMo Cafe is the feature restaurant on the 1st floor of the Courtyard by Marriot in Sha Tin. The restaurant is open from 6.30am to 12am daily, serving meals throughout the day. Menu is a fair mix of traditional Western, Chinese and other Asian dishes.
Staff are polite and attentive. Note that the restaurant seating area is under renovation during August 2019. As such, mains are taken in the large banquet room on the same floor.
During a recent dinner, I had the Beef Burger with cheese, bacon and normal toppings. Patty was correctly grilled at medium temperature, had nice flavour. Toppings were fresh and bun just fine. Served with fries, this was a good burger by Hong Kong standards.
Note that they have a Momo Burger Combo special - Beef Burger and beer or soft drink (HK$198) this is promoted in the hotel rooms but I didn't see it on the menu at the restaurant when I visited.
Overall, not a bad restaurant for hotel guests and nearby residents due to the lack of proper western restaurants in this area. Prices are on the high side for Sha Tin but this is a hotel restaurant so not to be unexpected.
