I’d dinner at MIC Kitchen about 2 months ago and was highly impressed. I therefore reserved when I knew that the restaurant would reopen for a short period during some Dining City promotion. I booked for 4 and needed to transfer HK$2,400, the full price...of the menu without the service charge, before the restaurant confirmed my reservation. I’d only get a refund if I cancelled not less than 3 working days prior to my booking. The dinner was well worth the hassle. The menu featured 4 savoury courses and 2 desserts. All my friends, who hadn’t been there before, and myself thoroughly enjoyed every dish. Even though I’d tried 3 dishes (Brussels sprouts, squid risotto and milk dessert) during my last visit, I still liked them a lot. But the best dish of the night must be the pigeon main course. I opted for wine pairing again and it didn’t disappoint. I often dine out and MIC Kitchen is definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve been to this year. I look forward to my next meal there.More

MIC Kitchen came to my attention when I checked out the list of participating restaurants of the Restaurant Week. I was enticed by the menu and the fact that Alvin Leung, the chef of Bo Innovation, is the owner of the restaurant. I therefore decided...to give it a try. The 6-course dinner far exceeded my expectation. I loved its fusion food with some Asian influence. Every dish from start to finish was innovative, beautifully presented, immaculately executed and absolutely delicious. The portions were more than substantial. Both my friend and I opted for the wine pairing which enhanced our dining experience. The meal started with a delicious amuse bouche. It’s a variation of Korean fried chicken with a sweet and spicy glaze which substituted minced frog for chicken. The first course of beef carpaccio with black garlic, salted egg gel, fresh figs, pear sorbet and olive oil caviar was light and refreshing. The second dish of Brussels sprouts with green apple and chopped hazelnuts was my favourite dish of the night. It’s so tasty with an interesting combination of different textures. I’d never thought that a dish with Brussels sprouts as the main ingredient could be that good. The risotto with Japanese squid and green peas didn’t disappoint either. The main course of short rib, which had been cooked for 72 hours with coffee, came in a large portion. The meat was tender and juicy (the top still a little crispy) with hints of coffee fragrance. The 2 desserts which followed were both very good though I preferred the second one which was made with different kinds of chocolate. The meal ended with some very good mignardises. It’s an excellent dinner on the whole. Good food and wine with good service. Ken explained politely and clearly to us each dish and the wine which paired with it. However, when I told him I’d come back, he told me the current venue would be closed after the Restaurant Week and the team would move to a new location in the future.More

MIC Kitchen has a unique decor of open kitchen surrounded by dining tables, and diners can closely watch the team’s decent food cooking, presentation and serving skills. All the food from amuse bouche of onion toast, appetizers of beef carpaccio and brussel sprout, mains of...lobster risotto and slow-cooked pigeon as well as deserts of molecular tofu and prickly pear were impeccably prepared and presented in a creative way for our ultimate tasteful and visual enjoyment. With its delicious food, attentive service and unique setting, MIC Kitchen is definitely a good place for fine dining.More

I brought my mum and boyfriend here for my mums birthday whilst visiting. I can not fault a single thing. Every course was beautifully presented and stunning in flavour. Plus sitting up at the counter watching the chefs prepare it and chatting to the chef...was a great touch. I was worried the high chair would be uncomfortable for my mother or sitting in a row of three hard to chat but it was just perfect. The wine pairing was fantastic and complimented the food perfectly. Value for money was very fair which can be hard to find in Hong Kong fine dining! I will absolutely be back!!!! Oh and the Brussels sprouts dish BLEW MY MINDMore

Never disappointed with the food or the service here. Wonderful for a special evening out - menu rotates and reservations must be made in advance. Chef's table experience Food allergies / intolerances are accommodated with advance notice. Gluten free items rival the regular offerings. Highly...recommend.More

If you are looking for an extraordinary dining experience, where amazing dishes are artistically prepared before your eyes, you must visit MIC Kitchen. A single fixed price, 10-course menu is offered at HK$800 (about US $102). We had the supplemental course of uni, tagliatelle, shellfish...cream and cured tuna heart, making it 11 courses in all. An optional wine pairing is available for an additional HK$550. As noted by other reviewers, the counter seating is around a u-shaped open kitchen. All the action takes place directly in front of you. Each course is a magic combination of flavors, colors, and textures. Our favorites were the baked lobster tart (amuse bouche), succulent black cod and lotus root, and the scrumptious smoked milk pudding.More

好友生日又食好野嘅時候,之前一直想試嘅Twenty Six by Liberty原來剛在今年五月改為Mic Kitchen,一樣係由總廚Chris Keung主理。而米芝連一星嘅Mic Kitchen係舊址觀塘也已經很有名氣了,今日終於可以一試。餐廳位於26/F頂樓,都算有啲中環夜景睇下。樓底高,裝修簡約但不失格調,一大張U型吧枱,全部二十幾個座位都可以望到廚師們嘅表演。Beef (Carpaccio, Black Garlic, Pear, Olive Oil) 生牛肉片配黑蒜、梨雪葩、無花果和橄欖油。Lobster (Grains, Risotto, Pumpkin) 超濃厚嘅龍蝦湯底,加上粒粒穀物,每一啖Risotto都超入味同有囗感,而龍蝦肉超彈牙美味。Seabass (Scallion, Lotus, Soy, Artichoke) 這碟豐有亞洲特色嘅煎鱸魚,上面放著連根拔起嘅蔥,廚師仲同我地講,成條可以食用,我們冼得好乾淨。

Visited MIC Kitchen for a birthday meal and had one of the best meals I have eaten in ages. Only one menu is served so the only choice you have to make is what to drink. It is counter seating around a u-shaped open kitchen...so you get to see all the dishes being prepped and are served by the chefs from the kitchen. There are 10 courses in total including the amuse bouche (11 if you have the supplementary truffle course) and the meal got better with each course. Highlights were the amazingly tender pigeon leg, the textured lobster risotto and the subtly smoked milk pudding. The menu is European but with local elements so feels very appropriate for Hong Kong. Kenneth the Maitre D was informative and attentive and the meal was perfectly paced at just over 2 hours. At $800 the menu was very reasonable for the location and quality of food. I would have no hesitation in recommending MIC Kitchen for a fantastic dining experience, thank you to all the team who looked after us.More
