I came on the 23rd to order a cake. The lady in front of me (also ordering a cake) was so fussy and troublesome. She talked about the cake plague around 5 mins, complaining it’s too big, it will destroy the design & presentation of...such a nice cake…blah blah blah…so Clara just replied, so you want the plaque on the side, is it ok? When the lady saw me queuing after her, she strat to wrap up her “speech” and started to pay, when she saw the receipt, she said she doesn’t like the time, she even asked why it has to display the time so detailed in “seconds” and she doesn’t want to see 4, 7, 9 on the time, and asked Clara to void & issue again. Clara’s reaction was so professional & helped this lady to wait till a time that she is happy (with 3, 6, 8) & reprint the receipt. When she left, I told Clara that I really respect her patience & hospitality. Clara smiled and said “maybe HK people are under so much pressure.” Honestly, I always wrote reviews when I came across bad experience in restaurants. This is my first time I was so surprised with the service of a hotel staff that I think it really worth to write a review to appreciate her work attitude. Thanks Clara! ❤️More

I went to collect a cake and it was the worst service ever. First no courtesy call on day of collection informing me cake is ready for collection, no reminder, nothing. Then when I went, it was severely understaffed. The reception at the adjacent cafe...seems to have forgotten that she is in the service industry, or that she works at the Mandarin Oriental. First she pretended not to see me when I tried to ask her something, then when she finally gave me her precious time, it was a very cold stiff response that you won't even get at a 3-star hotel. Let alone the MO. At the cake counter, it was a long wait before I was attended to. Then the staff, whilst good mannered, was too busy and I was kept waiting for far longer than I should be. So NO, your cakes cannot save bad service. And no, I will not recommend to anyone. Incidentally, I do go to the other MO at Landmark, and last time I went, service was not this bad.More

We visited the cake shop during tea time on the Christmas holiday, ordered the signature cheesecake, cream horn and the chocolate croissant. The desserts are tasty! Thank you and appreciate good and heartwarming services from Jane Yeung who is very helpful and friendly! One comment...for the cake shop, my mom tried the chocolate croissant but somehow the chocolate fillings inside is very little compare to the usual ones, it would be perfect if the pastry chef can add in a little bit more of the chocolate fillings! We love the macadamia nuts chocolate a lot and always come back to repurchase! Suggest to loosen the cover of the tin as it is a bit difficult to open and there are times that the chocolates fall on the floor accidentally when we use a lot of effort/force to open the tin which is a bit wasteful :( Overall jstaff and services are good! Love the experience!More
