We came here for the duck, which wasn't very good. It was dry and the skin was soggy. You could do better at a lot other restaurants.

We came here for a company lunch. The menu was plentiful and some food were food. The steam fish was very fresh, crab was dry, spare rib was juicy, but disappointed about the peking duck, the pancake was thick. Because we were many, the service was slow. I tried the Quanjude restaurant in Beijing, and felt it was too commercial. Since Hong Kong is a gastrononic paradise, there are more choices here.

A Peking Duck meal was on our must do list whilst in Hong Kong and we used Trip Advisor to choose which restaurant! We`d had a busy morning and it was about 3pm before we had lunch. The large restaurant was very clean and tidy and it was..........empty! However we`d decided we would eat here so we continued in and asked for a table. We were made so very welcome, and were joined by only one other couple who sat at the next table. The staff were setting up for a large banquet so they were obviously expecting to be busy later. We asked for Peking Duck and were advised we`d only need half a duck, but it would take over 30 minutes to prepare. We were in no rush so we ordered a selection of Dim Sum which was delicious. The chef carved the duck at the table with a flourish, we really enjoyed it and yes the half was enough. A very relaxed and special meal whilst we chatted about our Hong Kong experiences. As we left the banquet was ready, and smelt superb and guests were arriving so we paid the bill (which was not too expensive) and walked across the road to find the Spasso Italian bar on the harbour front, where we had drinks and watched night fall. Perfect....

Prices do not match quality. Boring, not well cooked. Tasteless. This used to be a nice restaurant, now it is more of a tourist trap. Stay away.

Went there with a colleague from US but the food (especially the duck) seems a little off and sub-standard compared to that in China. They served meat with the skin.. too weird! Will not visit again :( didn't even bothered with pictures as it was very noisy with hoards of tourist and the way they were removing the dishes.. really annoying!

Seeing that they specialise in Peking duck we went there. What a let down it was.
When we entered, it was about nine in the evening. Only two tables were occupied. Reluctant staff took our order and served us.
The Peking duck was ordinary, actually not even that. The Xiao Long Bao, supposedly soup filled dumplings were very dry, just a drop or two of soup and not tasty. Even the other dishes we had were not very nice.
Would I visit this place again.... Not likely.

February 23rd, 2016. It was 3pm. We (four of us) were going to ate at this restaurant, saw a couple guests sitting so i assume that they still open. I politely ask the lady (short curly hair with glasses) at cashier if they are open. She replied me with cantonese curse while walking away. I dont care if she own the restaurant or just a worker, she is a disgrace to hong kong tourism.

The restaurant was the the very end of Mody Road, Kowloon opposite the Intercontinental Grand Stanford hotel. You will see the menu on the pavement and a small banner sign (the neon signs advertise banqueting rooms so you won't see Quanjude) but when you go downstairs, it opens up into a pretty big restaurant. There's a menu in English and the manager who served us spoke English as well. Looking at their accolades on the wall, there are a number of awards, maybe not for the restaurant itself but for the food they provide to hotels, I'm not too sure because I didn't really stop to read them in great detail.
They specialize in roast duck (you'd never know by the name of the restaurant would you?) served Peking style and carved in front of you. I opted for the roast meat trio of suckling pig, roast pork and the roast goose - a sampler of each for 1 portion. The meats were stunning. I also had the crab meat and vegetables: fresh crab with egg white and green veg, finally, their kung po style prawns: big prawns, battered and fried then put in a delicious spicy sauce (recommended by the manager). 3 great dishes and rice for well under £50 was, in my mind the find of the trip. Good food in a reasonable surrounding at a great price. The same menu in a high end restaurant would have been at least 50-100% more. We ate at around 8PM and the restaurant was pretty full, so I assume well known by the locals.
Slightly worrying was the live fish tank (where you choose dinner) - 1 fish was positively dead and another unappealing as his mouth was somewhat missing but once past that sight, the food was exemplary; just don't go for that romantic evening, go for the food!

recently had dinner here one evening as a walk in guest. Shared a half duck meal with wife and the duck was well prepared. The restaurant is in a great location across the street from the Intercontinental Grand Stanford. Very busy and popular restaurant. Very reasonably priced as well.

We visited for the duck and in some ways that was a success, the duck wasn't too greasy like some and the quantity was good and meat delicious. The service however was terrible. It took them a long while to bring the items we wanted, so much so we eventually gave up on 2 of them after 15 minutes of waiting after finishing the previous dish. Despite having a mandarin speaker the waitress basically told her she didn't care. A second waitress was far more apologetic.
The deep fried garlic chicken we had was all gristle and bone, smothered in fatty batter and lacking and meat.

We especially like roast duck - we were fortunate to be staying just around the corner at the Hotel Icon. We visited the restaurant on a horrible rainy evening - only westerners in the restaurant with a large gathering of local families - we had a lot of difficulty initially in communicating as staff had no English skills and we had no Chinese knowledge - however - after a lot of smiles (friendly and busy staff) and pointing at other diners meals we managed to have 1/2 roast duck - which is brought to your table by a chef - wheeling a trolley - then carves the roast duck at the table-fantastic! We ordered a side dish of beautifully cooked broccoli and an accompanying bottle of Australian Chardonnay. The whole experience - and it was - at $AUD 67 for two - excellent value and a great memory ! Recommended..................
