Great food, reasonably priced! The fish taste yum and so as the other seafood that we have ordered. Cannot ask for more. Quick and efficient service. Waitress/ waiters are friendly. If u ordered set menu (with choice) they give you a plate of vegetables and...fruit.More

I wasnt that impressed with the food. True, not bad, but much of the food did not really have that much of a wow-factor, and I think we pay more for the michelin star status. I was not particularly impressed with the taste. Service was...also average. Ain't coming back here, that's for sure!More

Nice restaurant on the pier facing the sea. Large choice of seafood, fresh and well cooked. Portions are ok, prices a bit expensive

We travelled 2hrs to come back to this restaurant to eat their set meal. It is super worth it!!! We HK488 for 4 seafood dishes and a free vegetable. The portion is good enough for 3 adults. We counted like 17prawns. The flower crab was...big and the clams was a huge pile. All the seafood are super fresh, including the cuttlefish and every single clam. If we knew how good this place is we would travel here every trip to eat here!!! I will highly recommend everyone to come try this at least once in their lifetime 😊😊😊 We ordered extra noodles which we struggled to finish. The soup is another story to share... So full now!!!More

The Hung Kee is hard to miss. It is situated in front of the Sai Kung Harbour and the first seafood restaurant along the harbour front if you are walking from the tennis courts and swimming pool. They offer a wide variety of fresh seafood...namely live fish, shell fish, crab, shrimp, etc. They cook the seafood according to diner’s preferences and do it very well. Highly recommended if you fancy a fresh seafood meal.More

Loved the waterfront location! Such a fun spot with so many options for great seafood. The prawns in garlic were amazing. Everything was fresh and the people were really nice. Great wine on the menu too.

We visited a friend in Sai Kung and he took us to this place for lunch. There is a large outdoor dining area on the ground floor and there is also an indoor dining area on the second floor. We had a table on the...second floor with a scenic view of the harbour and it was also less crowded. There are tanks full of live seafood in front of the restaurant. We had 4 dim sum dishes, a plate of fried noodles, and a plate of fried rice. Food came fast and all was quite good. Service was decent. This was just enough food for the 3 of us.More

They...served other(maybe dead one) mantis crab although I picked and ordered very fresh one. They charged 244HKD per crab!!!! Also they did'nt explain details of what they called cooking charge. It cost about 380HKD. It was a lousy restaurant.More

Saikung is famous for its seafood street, and there are so many restaurants to choose from. We had no idea which one was better or cheaper, and just stopped at the first one around the corner. It turned out to be one of the largest...ones in the area, and very popular too. We picked from the tanks what we wanted and specified how we wanted them cooked. Since the seafood was so fresh, we had most of them simply steamed...the best way to taste the freshness of the sea. Since it was just the two of us, we picked a wild caught grouper which only came in sizes of about 1.5 to 2 pounds. That's the best size for steaming with ginger and onion soya sauce. The steamed crab had lots of roe and went very well with the vinegar and ginger dipping sauce. The steamed giant prawns tasted great but were the most expensive. We had 2 meals of mantis shrimps already, earlier in Lei Yu Mun in Kowloon and also in Vietnam the week before. But they looked so good in the tanks we had to order some more, deep fried with chili and garlic...yum. The waitress also recommended a special dish - sauteed butterfly clams in a special sauce- that was surprisingly good. As if we didn't have enough food, we also ordered a dish of braised crab meat noodles. The bill came out to be about $2500 HKD which is what you would expect in Saikung. It would have been less in neighbourhood restaurants, but more in high end seafood restaurants or in hotels. The open air seating with the view and the fresh seafood made it really worthwhile.More

Location - along the waterfront together all the other seafood restaurants in Sai Kung . Service - decent . Food - mostly excellent . We ordered the set menu that was meant for 4 to 6 people, together with a few extra seafood dishes ....The steamed fish was great , and the stir fried squid great too. My favorite dish was the razor clams cooked with garlic and vermicelli noodles - super tasty . The “flower conch” was a little disappointing- the meat was a little tough. Value - good for the quality of seafood - and the free WiFi worked wellMore

I had a wonderful meal here, the best I had in Hong Kong. I am sure it helped going with Chinese friends, although I am also sure that they have a menu in English. We were treated by our Hong Kong friends so I can't...comment on the prices as I never saw them. The out standing dish was the Lobster Sasumi. We started with thin raw slices of Lobster on large dish of ice with gold foil on the Lobster. It was amazing! We then than had a number of excellent dishes. These are the ones that I remember: Mantis Shrimps fried with garlic; green vegetables, spinach leaves; minced white fish on bean curd; the lobster claws cooked; shrimps and asparagus and finally a soup made with lobster shell with shrimp, green cord and white fish. All was amazing. And we looking at the sea!More

We paid over 1000 HKD for a crab and a large shellfish (don't know the name but was a considerably large creature). The prices of the actual seafood were not listed anywhere (just the cooking fees or ready-made dishes) and we would have settled for...something else if the prices were obvious from the start. The food was really fresh and being able to pick out the creatures from the watertanks was great, but we felt like the way it was prepared was dissapointing: the dishes were boiled together with some vegetables which tasted ok. Staff were quick and responsive to take order, refill teas, change plates, etc, they were really attentive. I think that with more adept cooking (like more fragrant/tasty sauces or sides) it could have turned into something remarkable but as it was - we had dumpling that were tastier for a tenth of the price ! I would not hold it against them, but I regret going there in retrospect.More

We picked this restaurant out of a few along the sea side in Sai Kung, because this one is busy, more importantly there seems to have a lot of local HK customers. (I have good eyes to identify HK people from Chinese tourists ^_^) We...ordered the set menu which is of better value than ordinary menu. With $449 you can have 4 seafood dishes, 1 veggis, 1 beer and 2 tea. The portion is more than enough for 2 people. Waiters are friendly as long as you are polite to them (say please when request something, and thanks when they serve you tea, etc.). We sat at a table outside by the sea, the view is calm and appetising.More

We’d spent the morning at the East Dam and had come back to Sai Kung just to catch a taxi to TST. Ended up going for a walk along the pier and spent an unexpected afternoon people watching and having some lunch. We had the...two person set lunch which had some great Salt and Pepper Squid and Clams in Black Bean, but the baked prawns in cheese sauce was an “interesting” experience..... Beer was cold, people watching was good and I’d recommend a day in Sai Kung and perhaps lunch at Hung Kee to anyone (although try Peng Chau or Cheung Chau too!)More
