Chotto Maki is a popular, creative sushi roll specialist with two branches one in Central and this place on Amoy Street in Wanchai. They are open from 12-9pm daily and have a handful of tables available if you want to eat at the restaurant. You...can also do take-away and delivery if in the area. I recently stopped by and tried their (#2 Beef -Iyaki) signature roll that was pretty good. The roll was stuffed with good flavoured beef, cucumber, garlic chips and avocado. It was wrapped tightly, topped with unagi and special house sauce and slices into 4 pieces. Packed nicely for take-away, this was plentiful serving size for lunch and tasted pretty good. Would be interested to try other signature and classic rolls after this experience. Worth a try if in the area and in the mood.More

You can customize your own sushi rolls or choose from their quintessential pre-set combinations. It’s best to come with friends or colleagues so that you can get a taste of each mouth-watering flavor! [Classic rolls] Their colorful bite-sized rolls of 8 pieces with an innovative twist are our must-orders. - Philadelphia: My absolute favorite. The smooth cream cheese is the real MVP and you can never go wrong with salmon, avocado and mayo sauce. You might need to take a bite of the side pickles once in a while to counter the heaviness though. -Mango Dynamite: A refreshing pairing of mango and cucumber to balance the fried tempura prawn. Loved how the unagi (eel) sauce adds an extra splash of sweet umami. -Cali Salmon: I usually only like my salmon raw, so the deep fried salmon in this roll was surprisingly scrumptious. 之前食過Chotto Maki 嘅壽司，覺得好靚，好有特色，今晚再次去買個外賣。今晚叫咗Philadelphia 同Black Magma。Philadelphia 俾我嘅最愛，因為有晒我最鍾意嘅壽司材料，三文魚，牛油果，忌廉芝士，Mayo Sauce，仲有蟹子。Black Magma就有帶子，吞拿魚，Tempura crunch ，再配黑芝麻醬。都係好鮮味同吸引嘅配搭。再叫三件傳統少少，又不可或缺嘅三文魚壽司。最後加一份低糖布甸獎勵我今日嘅努力。

今晚夜晚趕住上Online堂，諗住簡簡單單食個dinner就去咗呢度，Chotto Maki。落order好方便，然後取餐亦都好快。 叫咗個Spice Me Up $72同seasonal special 嘅Lobster Roll $98. Spice Me Up 材料好豐富，有鰻魚，帶子，青瓜絲，海帶。配上spicy favor mayonnaise 同apple jelly, 味道好特別，又夠大嚿，好有飽足感。另外嗰個Lobster Roll，好好食，有好多牛油果，面頭仲有燒咗嘅三文魚，裏面當然會有龍蝦肉啦，仲有蟹柳絲。配搭做得好好，味道都十分之唔錯，我會稍為推介呢一款。 見到有桃味嘅梳打水，都買咗一支嚟試$25。好彩味道一啲都唔似藥水味，亦都唔會過分嘅貼，雪凍佢飲一流。 呢一間可以喺grab and go 之選。

Matcha cola was gassy and refreshing, with slight green tea taste and strong cola taste. Melon cider was sweet and refreshing, with strong melon taste. Chicken karage - It was deep fried till the skin was crispy and yet the meat was very juicy and...chewy. Lemon slice was provided to enhance the taste. Mini udon was very soft and smooth, and the soup was clear and sweet in taste. There were beancurd and seaweed in it as well. Tuna sushi was fatty and chewy, able to taste the freshness. Wasabi was provided to dip on it. Black magma roll - This was one of their most popular roll, with chopped scallop, negitoro, tempura crunch and black sesame sauce in it. It was chewy and flavourful, with the black sesame sauce complimenting it well.More

Chotto Maki serves up all sorts of creative sushi rolls. Some of them in huge sizes that reminded me a bit of the ones in Melbourne. The combinations are not traditional Japanese but more like the ones I get in North America. A mix of...crunchy, sweet, savory and sour. All with nice soft rice. It's casual and prices are not expensive. The place is quite spacious and clean. The staff was informative when I asked about things in case I was allergic to something and even let me sample the ingredient when I feared it was too spicy. The menu is in English and they even give you an option of design your own roll if you're not satisifed with the pre-determined versions. Location is next to Lee Tung Avenue, a refurbished area that was once a street for wedding cards but now a fashionable shopping plaza. Easy access to the MTR station.More
