Sushi Kin is a Japanese restaurant in the very busy Causeway Bay. The restaurant is spacious, bright and well ventilated. Servers are friendly and attentive. Chefs are very accommodating. The 24-course omakase dinner set (HK$1,680/person) prepared from high-quality seasonal ingredients is vibrant, fresh, and beautifully presented. Highlights of the meal include the refreshing Ishigaki-dai (Spotted Knifejaw) sashimi, the super crunchy lobster sashimi, the golden Uni Glass, and the flavorful Grilled Tuna Jaw.

It’s my first visit to Sushi Kin. There’re many options for lunch set. I chose mini kaiseki.
The set included 2 appetisers, 4 kinds of sashimi, a hot dish, 6 pieces of sushi, a soup, a dessert and a drink.
The food wasn’t bad but somehow lacked refinement and finesse. The set was priced at HK$580 and I guess I got what I paid for.
The service was commendable.

Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
