I live near Central and stumbled upon this place while strolling along central pier. It’s a simple bar-like set up at pier 7, very open and chill with Japanese music playing. I tried their unagi rice, worth coming here if u have unagi craving (HK$95 for big bowl or $55 for small bowl). Probably goes well with beer but I chose a Japanese peach juice drink. I had tried their beef bowl on another occasion but that was abit average, it was pure meat and didn’t come with vegetables or onions so maybe that’s why I found it lacking. Overall a casual place to hang out, run by young man & lady

…finding cool places like this is about as close as we can get in HK…but that’s ok because this place is awesome! Hiding in plain sight in the Island-side Star Ferry terminal, it actually has quite a few spaces for diners, spread out across the bar itself, a little alcove next to it and some makeshift tables further down. I had two skewers as a snack whilst waiting for a friend, the beef cubes and a pork one, and I loved them both. I fully intend to try much more of their menu very soon!

Found this place ( just weeks old) at the star ferry terminal on the Hong Kong Island side. STOP here! ...this is a great little spot!...great young man running it and even though it’s small, the taste is big. You’ll love the little kabob type cooker. What caught our eye was his hygiene and the cleanliness of this place. Prices were good, food tasty and beer cold!.. stop in for a bite.

Small bar with nice food at the Star Ferry pier in Central, just before check in to the ferry. We stoped for a drink and at the end was there for maybe 2 hours. The guys are extremely friendly have an excellent choice of drinks and food. Do not rush, make a stop and enjoy !

Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
