My family and I had lunch in a restaurant called “Grand Ding House” (淥鼎記) locates in 8/F, One Pacific Centre, 414 Kwun Tong Road, Kwun Tong 觀塘觀塘道414號壹亞太中心8樓. There are two lion hanging at the entrance of the restaurant!! The entire restaurant is decorated in modern...Chinese style with wooden screen and bamboo woven pendant lights. You can see the characteristics Kwun Tong old district buildings from floor to ceiling windows of Restaurant. 2 bowls of steaming hot double boiled soup with loaddddddda of ingredient inside once we seated down. We ordered 2 hotpot lunch sets to share together. “Seafood hotpot set” 海鮮鍋 HKD$118 The abalones are incredibly fresh and succulent!! The grouper fillets are soft and tender!! The clams are sweet !! Recommended!! “US premium beef hotpot set” 美國特級肥牛鍋 HKD$88 All hotpot sets had Udon,crispy fried fish skin, mashed cuttlefish ball, shrimp ball,enoki mushroom,shiitake mushroom, cheese sausage,and assorted veggies... etc And a cup of free hot drink for each hotpot set. The environment and decor is nice and spacious!! The ingredient is high quality!! The senior manager “Wah” is very diligent and polite!More

Grand Ding House was situated near Kwun Tong MTR and offered buffet style steamboat to savour. Their major selling point is they have a sequence to follow for eating, for example they will serve side dishes, sashimi, chicken hotpot, followed by steamboat, rice and desserts...etc. As usual, drinks were free flow and herbal drinks were included as well. Their herbal drinks were sweet and nourishing, generous with the ingredients placed inside the plastic cup. For a start, 8 side dishes platter are too much for us, with prawns, tofu, chicken feet, sliced carrots and lotus roots etc. They were appetizing. Sashimi were very fresh, going well with the wasabi. Chicken hotpot was juicy and spicy, smooth as well. After we have finished, the staff started serving us our steamboat, which we ordered beauty soup. Fish maw and chicken was boiled till soft and smooth and soup was nourishing too. Seafood such as crab, oyster, fish, squid and prawns etc were very fresh and beef were tender, with a lot of marbling on it. Balls platter were really hand made and all of them were really juicy and chewy, like a pin pong ball. Rice was tasty and delicious, chewy as well. Lastly, desserts were displayed nicely with pudding, red bean cake and fruits in it. It was crunchy and sweet.More
