Food great, but service less so, most of our order was not relayed to the kitchen, so we had a considerable wait. Waiter responsible apologised several times. Food is good though and that would be good enough to get me back and hope for better...service. The robots are funny.More

Sun Thai is a mid-priced Southeast Asian restaurant chain in Hong Kong. The Tsim Sha Tsui branch is at its bustling heart. Interior is quite spacious. Lunch menu is a great deal. Laksa is delicious. Service is a bit underwhelming and very understaffed. Easy to...find a table during weekdays.More

We saw this restaurant was highly rated so went try it. We had over half an hour wait to get the table. We had given our order whilst waiting but still had to wait over half an hour for the food. The service generated wasn’t...pleasant but they were super busy. The food, however was really good so I’d give 5 stars for it. I have given 4 stars because of the service.More

Sun Thai is a pretty good Thai restaurant with a few branches around the city including this centrally located spot on Carnarvon Road in TST. Opening hours are 12pm to 11pm daily, they are quite busy during peak dining periods so be patient if you...want a table or be ready for take-away. We recently did take-away from this Sun Thai branch. Everything was predictably good. The Green Curry with chicken tasted nice, chicken was tender and curry just a tad bit spicy and of good flavour. Minced Pork and Basil rice dish was fine, less enjoyed their their minced pork & basil salad order, which is more flavourful. Mango and Papaya Salad orders are always very good with fresh ingredients and vibrant, sweet and spicy flavour. In the end, beyond a couple of preferred places in Kowloon City in our Little Bangkok area, Sun Thai is a solid choice, food is better than you'd expect and consistently good.More

We were excited to get to try this positively reviewed restaurant. We were managed into our seats and provided with menus. The drinks took a long time to come. One of the places you need to get attention in place of being looked after. The...food itself was OK. Overall we were surprisingly not impressed with the experience. On our way out we walked past a much larger part of the restaurant. Seems we were shown the wrong area of the restaurant. It feels like the place has become a place that has to move the masses through. I fear it’s lost it’s attention to detail in doing so. OH WELLMore

While I dine with my friends recently here, I have a few favourite items that I would like to introduce: Shrimp, Squid and Pomelo Salad with Dry Fish and Cashew Nut - After a long day at work, a nice appetizer is very important to...continue a nice chat with friends throughout. Baked bread stuffed with curry paste & soft crab had always been my favourite Thai and probably too rare from my experience.  I liked the impressive outlook and the idea of not wasting food when the container (bread) is edible too. Fresh Shrimp in Fish Sauce- Again, one of my fave Thai dishes almost in most Thai cuisines I dine in, and the shrimps are indeed very fresh that the flesh looks very crystal clear. Overall, I am truly satisfied with the dining experience since the environment and the outlook of food were truly impressive.More

My friend suggested to have Thai food, and first time that came to my mind was Sun Thai restaurant. I have eaten there couple of times and was always satisfied with their quality of food. We decided to dine at their Tsim Sha Tsui branch....They served a wide range of Thai dishes, ranging from appetizers, seafood, soup and drinks etc. As the weather was very hot, we ordered green bean smoothie and guava smoothie. Green bean smoothie was very creamy and smooth, able to taste green bean meat. Guava smoothie was more watery, refreshing and cooling. Spicy green papaya salad – It was sour and chewy, with the salad very appetizing. It was not very spicy, suited to the local taste. Tom yum soup noodle with seafood – The chef was very generous with the portion, with a lot of ingredients in it, such as prawn, mussels, squid, mushroom and fish cake etc. Noodle was very soft and smooth and the ingredients was fresh and chewy. Soup was tasty, slightly sour and spicy.More

Green bean smoothie - It was heavenly yummy, one of the best i have tasted. It was blended till smooth and thick in texture. I could taste green bean bits in it and has strong green bean taste. Thai style grilled pork skewers - The...portion was huge in size and was grilled till juicy and chewy. The peanut sauce provided helped to enhance the taste. Steamed fish on stove tray with lemongrass - It was served on a large tray plate, with alot of ingredients in it. The soup was very flavourful and slightly sour, absorbing the essence of the ingredients. Fish was steamed till soft and smooth, with chilli sauce provided to dip onto it. Mango sticky rice with coconut milk - Mango sticky rice was unexpectedly good, rivaling those i have eaten in Thailand. Sticky rice was very chewy, but not overly sticky. Today, after shopping at Tsim Sha Tsui K11, I ate dinner with my friends. It turned out that there is a famous Thai restaurant Xintai Southeast Asian restaurant nearby. The environment is wide and comfortable, and the decoration is thoughtful, just like being in a...restaurant in Thailand. Tom Yum Kung Soup Hot, moderately spicy, sweet, with rich ingredients, a lot of mushrooms and spices, prawn flesh is sweet. Skewers I ordered a skewer of beef, pork and chicken, which was cooked with plenty of gravy, tender and sweet, and the aroma was pungent. It was very suitable to order the satay sauce. Pork lettuce bun The pork is stir-fried and spicy, the mouth is tough and bite, lettuce is sweet and crisp, and the taste of the pork is neutralized with each other. Breaded Curry Soft Shell Crab A must-have choice, the portion is large, the bread is big, the curry sauce in the middle is sweet and tangy, it penetrates into the bread, and the breaded crab is fried crispy and delicious. Thai dessert platter There are sago cakes, coconut milk cakes, etc., the taste is tough and soft, and the mouth is sweet.More

If you want to eat Thai food on weekdays, you always think of Kowloon City, but in fact this new Thai restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui is of the same high standard. Satay skewers (chicken, cow, pig) When you eat Thai food, you must eat...this skewered satay. The meat is crispy and still can keep the meat fresh and tender. The satay sauce is the essence of the whole dish. The fragrant satay flavor is mixed with the scent of coconut. It has a crispy texture of ground peanuts. Tom Yum Kung Soup Tom Yum Kung Soup is also a must order every time you eat Thai food. The strong sour and spicy taste is unforgettable. The taste of lemongrass and straw mushrooms is outstanding. There are also fresh and sweet prawns, plus those bright red Chili, it's flattering and delicious. Minced Meat Lettuce Bun Lettuce buns are also very popular among Hong Kong people. Fresh and green lettuce wraps spicy minced meat to let the fresh and tender gravy linger in the mouth. Lettuce also effectively removes the greasy feeling. Breaded Curry Soft Shell Crab The practice of this bread crab is different from other restaurants. It is surrounded by 6 small pieces of crispy garlic toast, which is very irritating when dipped in a rich curry sauce. The soft-shell crab is fried until golden brown and will not be very dry. It is mixed with curry and tastes unique. Thai dessert platter After eating the main meal, I saw a small platter of desserts on the menu, which was just enough for two people to eat. Although the coconut and sweet potato glutinous rice noodles are very sweet, my favorite is the coconut milk cake with strong coconut flavor.More

The restaurant has a spacious environment and the decoration is full of Thai flavors. The food includes salads,...yakiniku, curry, seafood, rice noodles, etc., and the choice is quite rich. Tom Yum Kung • The ingredient is full and the fragrance is strong. The hot and sour taste proportion is 3: 7, but the spicy taste stays in the mouth for a while. • The soup also comes with a half-opened prawn. The shrimp is sweet and absorbs Tom Yum Kung's soup. Chicken Green Curry + Roti Indonesia Style • The flavor is strong and slightly spicy. The texture of the chicken is firm and the flavor of green curry is penetrated! • The crispy and soft chapatis also match the curry perfectly! Grill Platter • Scallops, Oysters, Tiger Prawn, Eel, Pineapple. • Those of platter are quite savory, and my favourites are tiger prawns and scallops. The tiger prawns are distributed on top with cheese and garlic. • The scallops are also covered with thick cheese, and the cheese surface is slightly charred and rich in taste. • And the eel is like the Japanese-style roasted eel, which is tender and delicious. Cranberry Juice • After eating a variety of strong foods, a glass of fresh raspberry juice is a good choice. The sweet and sour taste can let me feel fresh.More

When talking about Hong Kong, what will you think about? For me I think about international. As an international hub, it is not difficult for people to try different cuisine. Last weekend, My family and I went to Tsim Sha Tusi to try a fabulous...Thai restaurant which is called Sun Thai restaurant. It was amazing as the taste of the cuisine was similar to the one I had tin Thailand. All of the staff are from Thailand. It gave a friendly experience for customers. The curry pumpkin 🎃 seafood 🦞 was wonderful. It included lot of seafood (ranging from shrimp 🦐, boneless fish 🐟, mussels to shuttle fish) . Besides, we had also tried the Seafood noodle in Tom Yum Gong 😋 which was a little spicy but it was traditional. As it served with lots of seafoods, the Tom Yum had a rich taste. Last but not least we had tried the Thai Style Boneless Hainan Chicken which was served with ginger rice. Differ from the Singapore style, they served with Thai sauce which had a tangy taste. If you think the sauce was too spicy, I highly recommended you to order the coconut 🥥 ice which was made of 100% coconut.More
