Had some band playing the night we went in. Sounded good, drinks were fair price. Bar had some local girls in it.

If you love classic rock music there is no better place to listen to live bands in HK! Beer is pretty good too!

It doesn't matter where I stay in HK on my visits, be in Kowloon, Lan Kwai Fong or Wan Chai, I always end up partying regularly at bar Amazonia. My favourite band is the Filipino rock band Rapunzel and you'll soon know why as soon as you hear their lead vocalist Carla perform. Not only has she got this magical husky voice, she's so damn sexy too. Tip: just be careful with the hot waitresses working in the bar....they seem to be targeting you wallet and taking advantage of drunk tourists.

Astoundingly enough, this had been my first experience at Bar Amazonia but the friendly staff made an Amazonian virgin very welcome. The drinks were nice but it was the lively canned music that made all the difference. My friends and I had a magical time.

Visited HKG recently. This bar has everything I was looking for. Friendly staff, good bar menu, and an absolutely fantastic live band. These guys are top professionals. I put up some requests and they absolutely nailed them. In my opinion one of the best live bar bands I have come across.
The bar and waiting staff are so friendly and so professional too. Great atmosphere.
Thank you all for a really enjoyable night. Looking forward to getting back soon.

This place is a total scam. They are already under police investigation. If you want to get robbed go here.

Really nice live band - unfortunately the stuff sometimes resides by themselfs if you have a tip or not! And if you invite a woman for a drink, the stuff decides for you whatbdrinknand how much you have to pay for!

Great party place with great atmosphere. Good band and good location.
Only gripe is same as everywhere in Hong Kong... Expensive drinks.
All in all I'd recommend

For those of us who can't say no and love carrying on with the night at 4am Amazonia is the ultimate late night spot. The drinks are not the cheapest, but the live band and atmosphere more than make up for it. They also have live sport and the women you meet there are both stunning and extremely complimentary. On a side note I actually met my 2nd wife in here a few years back and although we ended up divorced a year later, I honestly can't say a bad word about the place!
Unfortunately I was relocated to London 2 years ago due to HK ruining 2 marriages, but on my next visit Amazonia will be my first stop!

Watch out - if you pay with credit card they add 100usd to your bill. Always. Pay in cash or be CAREFUL. Othetwise Will be expensive night. I would even avoid this place. There are other bars in the neighbourhood.

Great band and a really lively bar scene - HOWEVER!!! beware of the bar bill. we had been a couple of times previously and all ok with the bill.
However the last time we signed bills and paid by card only to find that the bills had A$100 added each time. either we were paying for everyone else in the place or they just arbitrarily added to each bill. SUGGEST - take $$$ with you and buy your own drink at the bar and pay in cash.

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting this charming establishment with my good friend Dullard, who has recently moved out here from Port Talbot after hearing about the absolutely world class standard of the brass.
We had both spent the morning at the Wan Chai branch of Games Workshop, and having just given my 15,000 point Ork army an utter pasting, Dullard asked me if I wanted to 'come and have a bit of food' with him afterwards to cool the fires of battle.
We headed into the Amazonia bar, plumping for a light brunch of gammon, eggs, chips, spam, mash, sausages and blood pudding, washed down with 8 pitchers of sweet plum juice.
Soon enough our piping hot food was arriving at our table, served by a painfully beautiful young waitress.
Attempting some merry banter with the young fileigh, Dullard quipped "What an odd couple we make" as our plates were slammed down on the table.
"What? Did you want to order something else?" replied the waitress. We both shook our heads and stared straight down at the tablecloth, unable to even look at her fiercesome beauty.
Dullard tucked into his meal in high spirits, But in truth, all was not well with me. I'd been somewhat irked by my friend's underhand tabletop tactics earlier in the day.
The final outrage had come near the end of our game, when Dullard had fragged my Ork Warboss with his plasma cannon, despite me having his forces pinned down with suppressing fire at the time.
"Someone's a Mr-Grumpy-Boots this evening" chided Dullard, sensing my irritation as we tucked into our meal.
"Poppycock!" I snorted, spraying a fine mist of gravy from my nose and across the tightly permed heads of a table of 30 mainland tourists jabbering away to our right.
But Dullard just wouldn't let it go - "Simon every schoolboy knows I am well within my rights to move having rolled a +4 armour save, even if you've got me under suppressing fire."
"You can't move under suppressing fire", I replied sharply, my cheeks flushing the pale pink of waffer sliced Wiltshire ham.
"You can", countered Dullard. "Simon it's the rules, it-"
"I WAS AT GOOSE GREEN!" I thundered, my chair flying back as I suddenly stood, ram-rod straight, great fleshy chunks of gammon flying towards Dullard from my bellowing jaw.
"I was at Goose Green." my voice now barely more than a cracked whisper, my cold dead eyes locked in a thousand yard stare.
"Believe me...you cannot move under suppressing fire".
Dead silence descended. Locals, mainlanders and top quality brass alike all clearly stunned at Dullard's bang out of order behaviour in challenging me. Wishing to not disturb our fellow customers further, we left discretely after a further side of pork loin and several cream pie desserts.
A small technical point if we're being pernickity - I wasn't actually at Goose Green - having been unable to enlist due to a particularly flakey bout of athletes foot which afflicted me for the entirety of 1982.
But thats not the point. Having read every single Andy McNabb novel AND as a one time contestant on Greg Wallace's pioneering Time Commanders show, I'm confident i have more knowledge about these things than anyone who has served in Her Majesty's Forces.
I would not hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend this fine establishment to any and all visiting Hong Kong!!

Went in here as could hear rock music as we passed which we didn't hear much during our time in Hong Kong - enjoyed ourselves there though it is full of working girls who swarm over any single men. The waitresses also seem to be more interested in serving men and ignored the women in our group, even though we were the ones with the money! Quite fun though and okay prices (for Hong Kong!) during Happy Hour.

Things to know.
> Seems like no food prepped on site, if you are observant you can see your plated dishes come in the front door a few minutes before you get them.
> The glasses of Asahi are impossibly large for the price, and taste... well... not a lot like Asahi. You be the judge.
> Before 8pm there seems to be plenty of space before the band kicks in..
