Loved!! First off, everyone is super nice and friendly. Luca, the chef, suggested the best pasta and Hakan is beyond. The space is also very nice. Good selection of wine and the food was great.

Both myself and partner had a wonderful dinner at Osteria Marzia! After not eating out for number of months (plus not travelling for the last 2 years) I decided to book something special for our delayed anniversary! Upon entering both of us felt like were...briefly transported away from Hong Kong. Reading a previous review, the door was heavy, but nothing to complain about (that person was probably quite weak :D). The staff was extremely friendly, but that has come to be expected from Black Sheep Restaurants! We would like to give a shout out to Proby (sorry if i misspelled your name!), Billy and Carlo for such a wonderful experience. Last but not least the food. AMAZING. Big thank you to Proby for recommending the Sea Bass in the Aqcua Pazza preparation. Probably the best time we’ve eaten in the past couple years! Highly, highly recommended. The only downside I would point out is the price. It is a little expensive so it would be hard on the wallet to go more often, but I guess that makes the experience of going all the more special. However once there, the combination of food, hospitality and decor make it all worth it!More

Disclaimer/foreword: I am both a regular customer and an enthusiast fan of two other Black Sheep venues in HK (namely Motorino and La Vache). Let's start with the highlights: the reservation process was very smooth and a courteous operator called me back on the day...prior to our lunch to re-confirm my booking and make sure there were no misunderstandings. An excellent touch. Unfortunately that's about it for the highlights. Upon our arrival, we were standing in front of the (very heavy) entrance door and nobody seemed to bother opening it for us. Eventually someone did and we were greeted with a funny "BUONGIORNO" by a waiter dressed in what seemed to be a Disney costume. A bit comical to be honest, but also not a big problem. Despite the restaurant being completely empty we were seated in a narrow table next to the utensil drawer, which was not a nice touch. The restaurant is FREEZING COLD. Even for HK standards, we couldn't see the reason for blasting the air conditioning at such levels in an otherwise not so hot day. The windows were completely drenched in condensed air. Seriously, I think the temperature inside the restaurant was probably around 16-17 degrees. Insane. The tables are made of rusty steel (which is a weird decor choice) and the utensils are placed directly on the table without any napkins. This definitely didn't convey an impression of hygiene, to say the least. The menu is very difficult to understand (and I am a native Italian speaker) and navigate. We eventually ordered Hokkaido scallops and cavatelli pasta with fresh seafood. Upon ordering, the waitress asked "do you eat so little?" My response was "I don't know. Since we are not familiar with the portion sizes, do you think we should order more items?". Her response was a laconic "if you want to order more just let me know", which didn't really serve as a clarification. Now, the scallop dish consisted in 3 (three) micro-sized scallops -neither fresh nor tasty- sold for a whopping HK$ 268, which is frankly extreme even by the notorious HK standards. The cavatelli pasta was way too oily and full of garlic, which completely covered the tastes of the -honestly decent- seafood bites (except for the mussels, which had a weird taste). Enough is enough and after less than 30 minutes from entering we paid our bill (almost 800 HK$ for a small appetizer and one pasta, which is outrageous) and very happily left the refrigerator/restaurant. Upon leaving, the same waiter who greeted us at the entrance came out with "wow, that was a quick one" which added insult to the economic injury. I personally would not visit this place again even if I was paid to do so.More

Had such a wonderful evening in Osteria Marzia on Monday. The team were super friendly, very attentive and were genuinely hospitable. The French oysters we had were a great way to start our dinner. The pasta was light, well cooked and perfectly seasoned - really...typical of the south of Italy. Not forgetting the salt-baked fish; a real show stopper. I have a real sweet tooth, so the home-churned peach sorbet was a real treat - apparently, they change the flavour weekly. A beautiful date night spot, but would also be a great space for a group of friends. Can't wait to try for breakfast soon as the menu looked incredible.More

After passing by several times, I always saw people looking like they’re enjoying themselves and decided to step in and try. From the warm welcome to looking at the menu, I started to like the place already. Great value for money for lunch set menu....We ordered a pasta and the char grilled chicken. The pasta was AMAZING! Al debate and creamy without cream - now that’s what I’m talking about. The food is comfort, but prepared with a certain finesse, as if you’re cooking for guests at home, which is how I felt.More

I must say, the food we had with my bestfriends were really excellent! The wine they offered to us to partner with our pasta is perfectly match; really good! Staffs are accommodating as wel, they explained their dishes very well! Chef Luca even went out...to explain further his dish. I must come back definitely with my friends and family! Lunch before new year. First time visiting Osteria Marzia. Nice decor and atmosphere. Service was good but during lunch time they didn’t show the lunch set menu. I’ve observed new guests coming in and other servers also only showed the regular menu and not lunch...set menu. It seems like a common theme of the restaurants under the Black Sheep group. Good food in particular the razor clams and calamari. Very fresh and tasty. Lobster pasta was good but nothing special (pasta itself was amazing). Food came quite slowly. The kitchen crew was busy but the chef was busy typing on his mobile .More

Asked to pick a restaurant for a thank you dinner, I know Black Sheep restaurants to be reliable, so I wanted to try this one. It was a real treat. My father is Italian and this was his favorite cuisine, so I learned to cook...it from his mother -- as a result it's hard to find pasta in Hong Kong better than I can make at home. But this was truly superior. The oysters also were tasty, and the high-quality burrata served inventively with sliced pickled beetroot. "French fries" made of zucchini were done perfectly, as was the broccolini. We also enjoyed the wonderful anchovies served with toasted bread and butter. The service was also impressive - helpful and very attentive. No chance to enjoy the fish this time, as our appetites were sated by the above, so I would love to go back soon -- if I can get a reservation!More
