Apinara is proud of their vegetarian menu that includes no less than 6 special #meatzero plant-based protein options and a whole other page of everyone's Thai favourites made vegetarian. However if you visit during their afternoon tea set, you might be surprised to find no...veg options on the menu. When I asked if I could have a veg option instead of the meat one (note - these are cheaper on the regular menu), I was met with a rigid 'no, not possible. There are no changes' Furthermore, during our visit the restaurant was almost empty and the service was painfully slow whenever we needed any assistance. Finally, my friend's tom yum soup was neither sour nor spicy and very tasteless... All big no nos for this Thai staple.More

The ingredients and seasoning were right on point. 🦐 Prawn carpaccio ($148) My all time favourite in a Thai Restaurant, fresh and refreshing. 🦀 Thai Crab Meat Omelette ($158) The omelette was light and custardy, topped with overwhelming amount of fresh crab meat. Spring onions and fried garlic were put on the side to enhance the layering of the dish. 🥭 Mango and Soft Shell Crab Rice Paper Rolls with Thai Spicy Herb Sauce ($138) The soft shell crab was perfectly deep fried till it’s crispy and crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. …which made up for the slightly overly floral massaman and the rubbery prawn cakes, with decent spring rolls and excellent Pad Thai as well. So overall 4* seems about right with friendly service, so-so prices and nice decor.

Nice environment, chill vibes, especially when I visited during tea time and there weren’t many people. The food and service were great. Recommend the Prawn Carpaccio - thai sashimi prawn, so fresh.
